I've brought my Ford Ranger in countless times since 2022. He's fixed previous "mechanics" jobs when I first arrived and has always left me confident that my truck will be driving smooth after a repair. He's managed to fix any light that comes on my dashboard and can determine any strange noises. I can trust that he gives me the best recommendations to getting parts fixed/replaced at a great deal. Transmission rebuilt, dented front hood fixed, alternator, battery testing, oil changes and more to get my truck running smooth to this day, this place really is a complete auto care! He's got a great team that services my truck in a timely manner and always makes me feel welcomed while I wait for the service to be completed. This shop has my TRUST for all my vehicle needs, I recommend this shop to anyone looking for that with their mechanic, these guys will take care of it.

I've had Aaron work on a few items on an old car. He gets to it quickly and does a great job for a low price. Highly recommend.

I had an amazing experience at Frank Honda and Toyota Auto Repair, and I genuinely can't recommend…read morethem enough. I originally needed just an oil change, but every place around me was quoting anywhere from $100-$120. I messaged Tomas on Yelp, and he got back to me immediately -- even in the middle of the night -- letting me know they could do it for $79.98. We set up an appointment right away, and I went in the very next day. When I arrived, I was greeted by Mike, who was super kind, welcoming, and informative. He got me checked in and started with no hassle at all. Their waiting room is very comfortable (nice couch, clean, and welcoming), and the whole process was quick -- about 45 minutes or less. While they were working on my car, Frank came in personally to check on me, offered me a cold drink, and made sure I was comfortable. That really stood out to me -- you don't see that level of care often anymore. At the end, Frank took the time to explain everything about my car in a way that was easy to understand. He even turned his computer screen toward me so I could see exactly what he was talking about. He let me know there were a few things I should eventually take care of, but there was zero pressure to buy anything or do additional work that day. No sales pitch, no prices being pushed -- just honest information. We even shared some laughs. I had mentioned on Yelp that money is tight right now, and he explained that the original price was closer to $90, but they discounted it to $79.98 for me. When it came time to pay, it actually rang up as $79.93. I gave him $80 cash, and he tried to give me change back because I didn't have smaller bills. I told him it was fine since he already gave me a discount, and we joked back and forth about it. The whole environment was light, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Everyone there was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and respectful. You can tell they truly care about their customers. I also really appreciate that when they receive negative reviews, they actually reach out to customers to make things right -- that says a lot about their integrity. On top of that, Frank has been working on cars since he was 11 years old and spent 12 years in a higher-up position at Toyota, so you're truly dealing with someone who knows what they're doing. If you're looking for honest work, fair pricing, and excellent customer service, this is the place to go. I will absolutely be coming back and recommending them to everyone I know.

Surprise $$$$ John's Automotive Up-charged me once I arrived. I walked out. Shame on these guys…read more They'll take you over the coals with Upcharges and work you don't need unless you do what I did, and that is to walk out and bring my business to an honest shop. I had no idea this was the same people as I had got a [crazy, inaccurate] quote from in 2018. I was quoted over the phone that a complete diagnosis would be $109. They had the make and model, knew it was a truck so should be no surprises when I walk in. RIGHT? wrong. "We like to get paid for our time"; dude at the counter. Then don't misquote customers in the first place. His excuse was, "well, we have to check the back of the truck too". Lame. Posted: are the two quotes for a diagnosis, one from John's and the next from a shop that I won't share here, where my truck is currently being serviced. Further, let's go back a bit in history. In April of 2018 I visited John's location on Riverdale in Grantville. My truck had registered a check engine, which turned up regarding emissions. What did "Johns" say and quote me? " Well, Toyota Tundras have four catalytic converters so you are looking at $3,270. out the door, you need to replace these, then you'll pass smog, clear emissions ". Problem: they got it way wrong: the 2000 Toyota Tundras have TWO catalytic converters mister grifters. After that B.S. I left. [2007s - present have four converters, so ketchup Bubs!] Next, I left and went to "Cardiego" on Adams Avenue. The owner checked the emissions signal and said, " all you need is your drive cycle reset. One hour later and $90. dollars later the work was done, truck passed smog and no more emissions issue. It was my mistake that I had no idea that this same outfit had a second garage in La Mesa, had no idea I was walking into the same line of talk and walk. I expect that the owner Mr. Joan will comment here something like this, " I am sorry you seemed to have this experience, because we don't have a record of you in our system " hmmmm... My response [following my laughter] is this: on 4/27 your computer generated the quote that I have posted here. It generated the information you had on my vehicle back in 2018 because you have my old plate number of 6E71244. So Jon, don't try to tell me you never had me in the "system" because if you had not noticed, I now have personalized plates, I haven't had the 6E7... plates for a while now. To be clear: my Tundra is the best year that was produced, it has been cared for only with master techs, and runs perfectly. Word to the wise: My recommendation is to go elsewhere to take care of your auto. **My truck needed the lower front ball joint replacement in the front only. The shop I went to even took out the $57. diag charge since I had the work done with them. It is silent and smooth as usual. There was no noise in the back and a quote on a diagnosis means you quoted me on a diagnosis of the entire vehicle. Bogus, no: I never "authorized" more diagnosis work. Just a foolish response below.
