I said it wasn't an emergency so he offered to come the day after. But we all know how stressful it is to have a broken appliance, and he honestly managed to calm me down and put me in good spirits again with his friendly manner. I had confidence and trust in him before he even got here. But still... you never know what can happen, right? He called, as he said, before getting here, and his prices were totally upfront (and on his website). He was just delightful to have here, and I found everything about his service to be beyond professional, and WAY more than reasonably priced. He wouldn't have even charged extra for coming on a holiday! My dryer, through no fault of his, was beyond repair, and he was entirely up front about that. There was not one moment where he tried to woo me into paying for a new motherboard or such nonsense. Truly, Anthony is one of the few genuine, wonderful, warm souls out there. I adored him and his service right from the get go. While I hope I don't have to call him again for a repair (!), he is the only person I would call from now on. There are simply not enough nice things to say about Appliance Madness.

    When my 13 year old upright freezer failed to keep food frozen one day, I tried a few local service…read moreshops. One shop had closed but recommended Ed's Appliance Service, where the technician had over 40 years experience. He was able to visit the next day. The GE service shop said I would have to wait about 4 days. In the meantime, I was able to move the food to other people's freezers. Ed said the compressor was probably starting to fail due to age and it would be too expensive to repair. It also looked like there might be ice blockage. He told me to unplug it and leave it open for a few days. After I powered it back up and put some cups of water on each shelf, in a little over a day every cup was frozen. So can start using it again. Yay! In the meantime I purchased a new unit, which took a a bit of research and phone calling. It seemed that many people freaked out when the Wuhan Virus hit and bought up all the refrigerators and freezers. They were probably afraid of shopping and bought new units so they could maybe hoard food and limit their trips to the stores. None of the big box stores had anything in stock. The sales rep. at Baron's Appliances in Concord listed the Frigidaire unit I wanted, but he said the manufacturers were quoting end of August delivery dates! That was the only store that offered to help me out. So here is hoping my old freezer holds out until then.

    Vizio TV bought just over a year ago dies. It broke and the Vizio warranty passed so used my Geek…read moreSquad protection plan. They would not replace the TV as they don't carry that brand anymore, and it worked when they plugged it in. Even after telling them it was a sporadic problem where it would sometimes just turn off, then start again in another language or not recognize the HDMI input from out Dish receiver. or it would not start up correctly after being turned off sometimes. I also told him a did all of the Vizio suggestions like a hard factory reset and change the HDMI cable. He said it is flagged to be sent to their repair center for repair. 1 to 3 weeks. After 1 week no word from them and when I checked it said still in transit and that the info had not been updated since day 1 (a week before). What really concerns me is the tech (LOL) wrote his suggestions that did not include what I had said and he suggested it might just need a reset! If they simply reset it and send it back we will be wasting another long round trip when it dies again! I have to wonder if and when we will ever hear from this joke of a company that never answers the phone or have a supervisor in the store to talk to. When you call it eventually goes to a central answering division who can't help. Date of experience: March 20, 2025

Second: Purchased large expensive TV a month ago (was not aware of the service...) , due to remote location, and difficulty to drive tv around due to size, wanted to exchange/ repair tv, no way to contact the store. 1800 phone of Best Buy send an internal message to manager of the store, Joe, and he never responded back. Went in person after driving over 1h and explained all to the manager Joe and Joe had no will to help, gave us 1800 Best Buy GeekSquad number and they don't service LG. We said we did all this, he insisted is the way to go. So we called again and same answer, GeekSquad is a total joke. All this wait was over 15 days of return policy.... Seems bad reviews about him also with other customers... A total waste of time with this store that has 0.0 knowledge or will to help a customer. Save your stress and get electronic from a reputable place with better customer service even if you have to pay few pennies more. Mistake to deal with them and BestBuy in general. The store, management, online support, chat, senior representative on phone, has all our informations to fix the issue and no one bothered calling to fix it.
