I had several bids for replacing my old fence and after discussing what they had to offer and what…read moreI wanted, I chose to go with Fencing Company of Omaha. They then referred me to a local credit union that they have partnered with for financing. The credit unions policy was to pay the contractor directly, which I had no problem with but after the fence company received the funds, it seemed they dropped off the face of the earth. After attempting to contact them multiple times with no luck, I actually thought I had been scammed! So I called the credit union expressing concern that I might have been scammed. The credit union representative knew of the customer and reached out to them on my behalf. I hadn't heard from them since they had gotten paid 2 weeks earlier. I then chased these people for 2 1/2 more months before my fence was completed. After being told a date to start, they didn't show up. I would called to find out what happened and would be given a different date. This went in for weeks. When they did finally show up after me calling them almost daily, they tore down my old fence and because they couldn't reuse the holes that were there from the previous fence, they decided to move my fence line closer to my neighbors fence (I'm not even sure if that's my property) making it impossible for us walk between both fences let alone cut the grass that grows between our yards. They then left my old fence scattered over both me and my neighbors lawn. I again called them multiple times to ask when they would come pick up the old fence and was given several different days where they didn't show up. Finally after 2 1/2 more weeks of calling to ask when my fence will be completed and when they were coming to pick up the old fence which by this time has ruined my lawn and a patch in my neighbors yard. They stated they would be there that day which was a Friday. They showed up early afternoon and started putting the fence together. They then returned the following Monday to finish. When the fence was done, it wasn't the fence I wanted. I wanted the same scalloped tops as the fence they removed. I asked a young man who looked as if he was cleaning up, if they were going to scallop my fence tops which he replied yes. I go back in the house for no more than 10 minutes, come back out to see what progress has been made and they were gone and my old fence was still there. They did finally came back 4 days later to pick up the old fence. I will not be contacting them again. I am greatly disappointed with the service I received and would not recommend using their services for your project.

I contracted with Nebraska Stain and Seal in May of this yr (2021). it took until the end of July…read morebefore they could get to my job. I had asked for my deck to be stained and I assumed it would be done professionally. The painters were crazy rude, did a terrible job and the owner wouldn't even come out when I asked him to look at the lack of quality workmanship. After they came out to do the "touch ups", I was promised they would be on site until I was happy, they were here and gone in 20 mins. This was their second attempt mind you, the painter was extremely rude to both me and my wife. He got on the phone with the owner and promptly left. My wife decided to call the owner and ask him to come out and just look at the job, he came out and told her his painter misled him as to the quality of the work and they would be back out asap to redo the job. After a few days they showed up for 30 minutes and left again. They left the plastic on the windows, they over sprayed my newly painted house and STILL missed several places the owner told them to paint. My wife sent pictures of the bad job that was done again ( third time) and we never heard of the company again. They are NOT worth your time to hire! stay AWAY from Nebraska Stain and Seal.

Our experience with this company started out good before the work started, but went downhill after…read moreit began and ended on a bad note. We are left disappointed and looking at finding a different company to redo one whole side of our fence. This means we will lose THOUSANDS of dollars more out of pocket and that just stings when we already spent over $10,000 in the first place. Ricky is the owner of this company, and he is a one man show. What we didn't know then, but we know now, is that he doesn't do the work himself, he only supplies the equipment and hires others to do the work for him. He even has a separate company that comes out to install the gates. The work for us started on June 28th and did not get done until July 13th; In between the work we've had to deal with bad customer service, trash left behind for us to clean up, sloppy installation and cleanup of the posts, dirt piles not hauled away, but rather dumped right in the back of our property and neighbor's side, and issues with the placement of the fence. We sent multiple emails asking him to clean up the dirt piles since he charged us $250 for it and he would say it would be taken care of, but it never truly was. They were left sitting there for weeks on end and long enough to go through multiple rainstorms before he finally came to haul some of them away. Then a few weeks later, when other issues appeared with our fence, we sent him more emails and he would only respond that the issues were most likely due to the windstorm that occurred at the end of July. It wasn't until we had a 2nd company come out to look and they gave us their professional opinion that some of the things we were asking about were not related to the windstorm, then did he finally stop by to look himself, more so he could give his own professional opinion. He ended up fixing what we told him was wrong. August 13th was the last time we had any further email or contact with him, and we prefer to keep it that way from now on. The worst part of this whole experience, besides the bad customer service, was finding out how far on one side of the fence was placed in from our property line. From the front of the gate, we still had 32 inches of room that he could have used. Halfway down the fence, it was around 24 inches and all the way to the back there was about 10 inches left of space. Prior to the work getting done, we gave Ricky the exact coordinates on a map outline we had of our property, and not once did he say to us that we should get a survey done in case he placed the fence in the wrong spot or in a spot we would not be happy about. Rather he assured us he knew what he was doing and so we put our trust in him because we had no reason not to believe him. Turns out that was a big mistake and an expensive lesson for us. It has been a very tiring and exhausting experience having to deal with Ricky, from all the misinformation and lies he told us, to not taking accountability for his work or proposing any solutions for the mistakes he made. We would highly encourage everyone to do their research and find a legitimate company to work with instead of this one.

I had Gretna Fencing install my fence fall 2023. It looked great after installation and we were…read morehappy. We paid more to get the fence put up 3 months sooner than the other estimate we got. Our issue wasn't with the install it's with their customer service. We've had two issues since the install and I've called many times to get the fence fixed. I told them I know we will have to pay and that's fine. First time our neighbor threw a softball through the fence in April so it was cold and the fence was damaged. I called Gretna Fencing and did get a call back, told him what was going on and we'll pay for it and was told he'd call me back and never heard from him again. Second time was when the storm came through at the end of July 2024 it took out 4 panels and the gate. Called again to get help and said in the voicemail that we had an insurance claim and that would cover it and again never got a call back. I wish I would have waited the 3 months and had the other company install our fence. It's called customer service. If you're still reading this find another fencing company.
