Another company came and replaced the parts sent by the warranty company. It worked for 2 weeks and shut off for 3 days. Then made 1 batch of ice. He ran a few tests and said the mother board for the ice maker was probably faulty and he would request the warranty company to send that. He then reported to the warranty company that he couldn't replicate the issue and then closed my claim. Not a fan of being lied too. I read the reply from the owner. We tried asking a worker once to get us something out of the locked area for yard equipment and they took 30 minutes. We left said not worth the wait. The garden section from sept-Feb. pretty scarce not a lot of wild natural options- when making our outdoor enclosure for our tortuous we had very few options here in selecting non toxic plants. When trying to ask for or where a plant is they just pointed "over there" or "idk" Really hard to spend money when they don't know their products or just don't care. However we do like the kids club projects my son and the lady who runs it have a great relationship. She use to be stand of fish but we wore her down or he did with his smiles every month for the past 2 years 24 + crafts together.

Coming from the same family of mechanical neophytes, my brother asked me when I became so good at…read morehousehold repairs. My answer, "The first time I looked at the bill from the repairman." I've used LaBons twice for appliance parts. The first time was after my wife told me the oven wouldn't light. A search of the Internet pointed to the "Glow Igniter" being faulty. So I went to LaBon and they had one in stock. I don't remember the price. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay to gamble on a part which I wasn't sure was bad, but far less than a new oven. I decided to take a chance .After getting the old part off and the new part on, I turned on the oven and it fired right up. The second time I used LaBons was for our dryer. Our dryer had been squeaking for a number of months. The last week, it sounded like the drum was rubbing up against the side. Squeaking was fine, I feared that the rubbing would burn out the motor quicker. I figured that much like a car belt that squeaks when it needs replacing, it was probably the belt which needed replacing as well. The belt was fairly easy to take off as well. So off I went, belt in hand to LaBons. They had two belts on hand a GE OEM belt for $31 and a generic belt for $21. I chose the generic belt. Both were a bit higher than I expected, but still much cheaper than calling a repairman or buying a new dryer. I came home, installed the belt, turned on the dryer. No squeaking, no rubbing. Both times I used LaBons, I told them the part I wanted and the brand. They were able to look it up and give me the correct part each time. They are also a local "Mom-and-Pop" shop and I always try to support locally owned businesses. So far, everything has gone smoothly. The only downside I have seen so far is they do not offer refunds on parts. I guess they have been burnt too many times by guys like me gambling that they know what part they need and losing. Another minor downside is the place is in the "not-so-nice" part of town.
