My car had an electric draw that was draining my battery to zero even when not driving it. Initially I took my car to Total Mechanical in Bullhead for repair. They charged me 200.00$ and the issue was not resolved. Total Mechanical burned me and wouldn't make good on repairing the current draw. I then took my car to AATCO and it was repaired properly for 70.00$ Less than 1/2 price of what TM charged me for doing nothing. I will update this review after I take TM to small claims court. AATCO from now on for me!!

My car broke down in Bullhead City on the way home. The transmission gave out. The tow truck driver suggested AATCO. Skippy King immediately came out with an initial assessment. He was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. Skippy's estimate was honest and fair! It turned out that I wasn't going to have the work done, and he still let me keep it there for a couple more days until the tow truck arrived. I can't tell you enough how much integrity tjis guy has. If you EVER need any work done in Bullhead City, this is the place to take it, hands down!!! Thank you Skippy, and Aatco! You will be fondly remembered during my time of crisis!!! Sincerely, Kevin Gallagher

My Transmission went out right around Christmas and I needed a repair between the holidays to get my truck up and running again. They rebuilt my transmission in my 2004 ford f150 in a very reasonable amount of time considering it was the holidays. Also charged a reasonable amount for that type of work. If you have transmission issues it's a given that it's not going to be cheap. 10 months later my transmission still runs good and fluid still looks clean. The only reason I took one star off is because my transmission linkage bushing was bad and was not replaced. They certainly had to remove it and put it back on and should have noticed it was bad. This is less than a $5 part and left me not able to put my vehicle into park and crawling under to try and jimmy rig it to get me home. As cheap of a part as that is I was pretty disappointed that they didn't go the extra mile and just change it. Otherwise I am satisfied.

Had the 4L60E in my 97 Chevy pickup rebuilt due to loosing 3rd and 4th gear. The truck had 210K miles on it so I requested they completely rebuild it as it was original, add a shift kit, a Corvette servo, and whatever other updates it needed. When I got it back they informed me that they did a stock rebuild. I figured there was a communication issue so I over looked it and payed the $1800 for the rebuilt transmission. Fast forward a year later, the transmission started to make a noise, so I brought the truck back to them. They informed me that I was out of warranty (Only 11K miles later!) and offered to rebuild it again for another $1800. I declined. The transmission lost all forward gears shortly after that. This time I decided to do the transmission myself. I pulled the transmission and found they were sloppy with the R&R. The fuel line bracket had not been reattached to the bell housing. The transmission was very dirty on the outside (which is odd for something that should have been cleaned for rebuilding). So I disassembled the transmission on the bench. The rear planetary was destroyed, and I found that the clutches were the original for 1997 (GM, not aftermarket). The only new parts I found were the band (probably to solve the 3rd and 4th gear issue) and the valve body separator plate had been repaired with a seat repair kit (where the check balls wear the plate out) rather than replacing the plate (that plate is $12-20). A very hoaky fix as the balls don't seat correctly to stop fluid flow. None of the trans go kits to update the trans had been installed. The transmission is good now that I replaced almost everything inside of it. PWM mod, drum, planetaries, corvette servo, billet steel boost valve, new torque converter, and all the normal soft parts. Bottom line is, don't go here for a trans rebuild, as they only replace the bare minimum to make the transmission work properly.

A BIG HUGE THANK YOU!!!…read more Although J&J could not fix our problem, turns out it is an internal transmission issue not external, we had confirmation and knew what direction to head it in order to get our truck's transmission taken care of. The transmission in our truck was majorly acting up, and we'd just had it fixed a few months ago... however that was in California, and although still under warranty we were far away to take it back immediately. Since EVERY transmission place we tried in Bullhead were closed or closed down on Saturday, I got out my trusty Yelp and saw J&J Mobile Mechanic and we gave them a call. They replied immediately with a text asking what it was that we needed help with. In less than 2 hours, we had a mechanic come out, test drive, complete an inspection and assure us we'd be okay. The $150 service call was a small price to pay for our peace of mind. Hunter was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. He even told us why our ABS light was coming on and what it would take to fix that... that wasn't even the reason we had him out! Very nice guy. Huge props for this kid! Definitely keeping J&J Mobile Mechanic's number in our back pocket for later! Never know when one of our boats or side-by-sides will need some looking at. Thank you!!! We appreciate your help. We made it back to California and have taken the truck back to get serviced under the warranty. CHEERS!!!

When it was finally my turn I pulled up to the gas pump and filled up. It was then when I noticed radiator fluid spilling out from under my vehicle. Opening the hood I could see that the over flow had come out of the radiator coolant reservoir tank. It was 4 miles to my home in Bullhead so I crossed my fingers, cranked up the heater and made it home. When I got home I started reading Yelp reviews for mechanics and found Actco Auto Repair. Being that it was Sunday and they were closed I decided I would drive over when they opened at 8 am Monday. About an hour before I drove over I filled up the radiator with water and the reserve tank with antifreeze. When I arrived I went inside the office and explained what happened the day before. Since the hoses did not leak they were going to pressure test the radiator cap and the radiator and would call me when they found out what was wrong. From the shop I walked 1.5 miles home and as I opened up the front door the shop called me. They told me that the radiator and the cap were fine but the fan clutch needed to be replaced. They told me that it would cost $260 and that it would be ready at noon. I told them to start the job and call me when they were done. To their word they called a little before noon and told me my vehicle was ready. I walked back to the shop and when I arrived they explained what was done. They were very friendly and I felt the cost was very fair. Now I drive a 1994 Ford Explorer that has 284,000 miles on it. I always keep it well maintained. It's good to know that I found a honest auto shop that I can take it to if needed. So the next day I drove 264 miles home to Pasadena across the desert without a problem. Thank You Aatco
