A BIG HUGE THANK YOU!!!…read more Although J&J could not fix our problem, turns out it is an internal transmission issue not external, we had confirmation and knew what direction to head it in order to get our truck's transmission taken care of. The transmission in our truck was majorly acting up, and we'd just had it fixed a few months ago... however that was in California, and although still under warranty we were far away to take it back immediately. Since EVERY transmission place we tried in Bullhead were closed or closed down on Saturday, I got out my trusty Yelp and saw J&J Mobile Mechanic and we gave them a call. They replied immediately with a text asking what it was that we needed help with. In less than 2 hours, we had a mechanic come out, test drive, complete an inspection and assure us we'd be okay. The $150 service call was a small price to pay for our peace of mind. Hunter was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. He even told us why our ABS light was coming on and what it would take to fix that... that wasn't even the reason we had him out! Very nice guy. Huge props for this kid! I drove to my home in Bullhead City to enjoy 4 day weekend. Sunday, the day before I was to head…read moreback home, I waited in line at Sam's Club to fill up my gas tank. When it was finally my turn I pulled up to the gas pump and filled up. It was then when I noticed radiator fluid spilling out from under my vehicle. Opening the hood I could see that the over flow had come out of the radiator coolant reservoir tank. It was 4 miles to my home in Bullhead so I crossed my fingers, cranked up the heater and made it home. When I got home I started reading Yelp reviews for mechanics and found Actco Auto Repair. Being that it was Sunday and they were closed I decided I would drive over when they opened at 8 am Monday. About an hour before I drove over I filled up the radiator with water and the reserve tank with antifreeze. When I arrived I went inside the office and explained what happened the day before. Since the hoses did not leak they were going to pressure test the radiator cap and the radiator and would call me when they found out what was wrong. From the shop I walked 1.5 miles home and as I opened up the front door the shop called me. They told me that the radiator and the cap were fine but the fan clutch needed to be replaced. They told me that it would cost $260 and that it would be ready at noon. I told them to start the job and call me when they were done. To their word they called a little before noon and told me my vehicle was ready. I walked back to the shop and when I arrived they explained what was done. They were very friendly and I felt the cost was very fair. Now I drive a 1994 Ford Explorer that has 284,000 miles on it. I always keep it well maintained. It's good to know that I found a honest auto shop that I can take it to if needed. So the next day I drove 264 miles home to Pasadena across the desert without a problem. Thank You Aatco

I was charged nearly $1200.00 for the work done on my Toyota pickup. When I took it home it demonstrated a substantial leak. The paperwork specified 1 year warranty so I called and was told to bring the truck in so he could look at it. When I returned to the shop I waited one hour for someone to appear, everything was unlocked and no one was around. When the gentleman appeared he didn't want to look into the matter. He said he didn't have time and angrily threw wrenches around in his tool box, displaying his poor attitude. Wouldn't take my vehicles there again.

A few weeks prior I wanted to get it but asked that they change the fluids, it had been sitting 6 years. weeks later when I wanted to pick it up , I called and asked if fluids were changed. He said no because he'd checked them and they were all good. I insisted that he change the oil. When I got there, the idiot told me how dirty the oil was - duh! When I asked about the clutch, he told me that adjusting it would probably make it worse. When I got it home there was NO COOLANT in it. They put in a new MAP sensor that I didn't need. So they had my vehicle for four and half months, didn't bother to work on it at all and charged my partner $800! When I wrote him an email and asked that he make it right, he tried telling me that it had a different engine than the original but it definitely did not. My mom bought it brand new. She and I have been the only owners.....Suffice it to say that I believe he intended to rip me off from the beginning. They are completely dishonest. If you're a woman on your own, DO NOT TRUST THEM!

I Ended up going to jeep anyways and they said it was an oil pump issue but stated all was working fine and possible sensor issue. Took home and started to notice oil on ground. Took it to my shop to find oil leak. Found the filter housing was cracked. It wasn't cracked prior to oil change. $1200 bucks later it's fixed

This week, my window motor gave out and I was driving around with a stuck open window in July. In both cases, the repairs were made fast and the price was fair. Be careful with some of the places in Bullhead but this place is legit. Just remember that there's a high demand for legitimacy so if they're busy, bring a little patience. It'll be worth it!

Her AC hadn't been touched in years, and out where she lives it gets rather hot. Made an appointment, dropped it off, it was serviced and done when they said it would be. Price was very reasonable, and she is happy her lil mini is blowing ice cold air! Would recommend this place to any of my friends and family. It is hard to find respectable automotive shops, and this place fits the bill on every level.
