I drove to my home in Bullhead City to enjoy 4 day weekend. Sunday, the day before I was to head back home, I waited in line at Sam's Club to fill up my gas tank. When it was finally my turn I pulled up to the gas pump and filled up. It was then when I noticed radiator fluid spilling out from under my vehicle. Opening the hood I could see that the over flow had come out of the radiator coolant reservoir tank. It was 4 miles to my home in Bullhead so I crossed my fingers, cranked up the heater and made it home. When I got home I started reading Yelp reviews for mechanics and found Actco Auto Repair. Being that it was Sunday and they were closed I decided I would drive over when they opened at 8 am Monday. About an hour before I drove over I filled up the radiator with water and the reserve tank with antifreeze. When I arrived I went inside the office and explained what happened the day before. Since the hoses did not leak they were going to pressure test the radiator cap and the radiator and would call me when they found out what was wrong. From the shop I walked 1.5 miles home and as I opened up the front door the shop called me. They told me that the radiator and the cap were fine but the fan clutch needed to be replaced. They told me that it would cost $260 and that it would be ready at noon. I told them to start the job and call me when they were done. To their word they called a little before noon and told me my vehicle was ready. I walked back to the shop and when I arrived they explained what was done. They were very friendly and I felt the cost was very fair. Now I drive a 1994 Ford Explorer that has 284,000 miles on it. I always keep it well maintained. It's good to know that I found a honest auto shop that I can take it to if needed. So the next day I drove 264 miles home to Pasadena across the desert without a problem. Thank You Aatco read more

I set up an appointment to have my 2023 VW looked at due to numerous warning lights coming on. Chris and Ed did a diagnosis check. They provided me a print out of the issues. When I talked about repairs with Chris, he recommended I contact the VW dealership as the car is under warranty. I am very impressed with them and had a great experience. read more

I showed up before 8 am at the big blue building. You want to be at the lower blue building. I was supposed to go to Willow Beach for the day, but my brakes made a grinding screeching noise the night before. They got my rear disks resurfaced and new pads put on my Honda Odyssey van by 11:30 am and I got to jet ski at Willow beach. O.M.G., you have to go all the way to the top for unforgettable views, of God and man. They also stuck with their $199 brake repair price. Stopped in without an appointment as my Tundra started making a squealing noise. We were only visiting the area for 2 nights. I walked in and Jason followed me right out of the office to listen to the engine. I had to return the next day so they could put it on the lift to listen to the underside of the engine. When I went back it stopped making the noise. Jason stated he would put it on the lift to check it out if that is what I wanted at 'no charge'. I passed on the offer and the goofy truck hasn't made the noise since. Was offered a ride back to our hotel too. Stopped in for a transmission problem that I was having before returning to Los Angeles. I was told to leave the car because it would take three hours for them to diagnose the system. Very sketchy, it should only take a ride and they diagnosed with a computer to find out what was wrong. I just didn't feel that amount of time was justified. I decided to take it to the Chrysler dealer in Bullhead City I was there a half hour when they came back and told me what was wrong. I decided to have it repaired at the dealership. read more

I took my car in to have some hoses replaced. I had been to the dealership(Swantys) a bit 3 weeks ago to have my system flushed and they showed me a hose that was fine before I brought it in but now it was covered with gunk and they would have to order the hoses. 2 weeks later they finally came in but they were the wrong ones. They said they couldn't get them I went to Auto Zpne and they recommended Aatco to me. Took my car in they ordered my hoses and when Jason went replace them he asked me when I had the system flushed, I said a few ago. He said it didn't look like it had been done and the reserve tank was cracked. Said the dealership should have seen this but said nothing. They ordered the part and it will be fixed tomorrow. Swantys saw me coming a mile away because I'm a female. Shame on them. I recommend Aatco Jeff the manager seems decent and honest and so do his mechanics.Aatco has a new customer in me and I feel much better knowing someone has my back in a new town where I have only been here for a couple months. I spent about $1500 on an air conditioning kit. Was told lifetime warranty on parts. Compressor went out after about 1 year. I called and they agreed to fix it with me paying labor. 2 years later, it goes out again and they tell me all of the records have been sent to accounting and the only way they could help is if I drive it about 1300 miles for him to look at it. They would not even call OReillys to try and help. Beware. Once they have your money, if you are not local, too bad for you. Even when you have lifetime warranty on the parts. They replaced the water pump on my Chevy suburban in record time and the cost was almost to the dollar what I was quoted ! They had no problem with me hanging around while the work was being done. hi my name is moose.my check engine light came on my caddy.being a new resident i had no clue who to bring the car to check.understand my caddy is my baby.after calling around i was getting the same answers from the big repair shops.it would be $125 to run the diagnostic to find the issue and if i let them do repairs the $125 fee would be used towards total bill.well the last place i called was superior auto and same rig a me role. so i decided to go to an local auto parts store for some advise on a trustworthy auto repair shop.three different people said go see (jeff) at aatco auto repair.well that was the best thing that ever happened to me in (bhc).im gonna shorten story to basics.they could have done certain repairs and maybe that would do the trick but not definitely. i coulda went on the repair as avalanche do start small then boom.they deduced the problems by elimination and came up with the fix.the cost didnt put me homeless just joking reasonable fair charges.i would send my grandma there.thanks jeff and skippy and crew. i am now a lifetime customer. outstanding!!!!!! read more
