I've been going to this salon for a while now without ever having an issue. They're always nice and greet you when you walk in. Went in 12/19/19 and only one girl was working who I did not recognize. I asked her to clean up my brows and to not make it thin. She spent a long time on my brows/lip and applied a lot of pressure, which I've never experienced. Her fingers were digging into my eyes and lip. When I saw the brows in the mirror I noticed how thin they were but just wanted to get out of there. I looked closely afterward and saw how my brows are so thin. My left brow is uneven and weirdly arched in the inner portion. I don't have thick brows to begin with so it will take me a good couple months at least to regrow them. The corner of my lip is red and raw from the threading which has never happened before. Obviously won't be coming back for a while as there won't be anything to thread. Def Won't let that girl touch my face again. I Should've said something when I first saw the brows in the mirror but it's not like you can put the hair back. Ask for Cindy or Purvi if she's still there. read more

I found this place on yelp as it was near my work. I went in during lunch time, and the girl who did my eyebrows and upper lip was so rough. I have never felt pain like that before. From the first visit here, I knew I would like this place. Ever since I had a horrible waxing experience, I told myself I would always get my eyebrows threaded. I've tried several places in the area. I'm not super particular about my brows (although I should be), but I do love convenience and great job done. When I first entered, I was greeted by Purvi, told to sit in the seat, and she asked me how I wanted them. That's really what sold me! She asked me how I wanted them. I didn't have to stop her before she dove right in like other places do to tell her to just clean them up and leave them a bit thick as my brows are already thin to begin with. No. She actually took the time to ask before she even got started to ask me. I like that, and that's probably one of the reasons why I will continue going to this place for a while. She actually listens to you when you say you're trying to grow them out, leaving a few hairs others would thread away to help with the growing out process. My eyebrows are done exactly how I like them.She aims to please. I have super sensitive skin so she helps dull the pain during the threading. The massage at the end is always a bonus. This review is long overdue! I started coming here about 3 months ago and I am so happy I found this place. Purvi was the one that did my eyebrows here the first time and I've stuck with her since then. When I first came here I was a little nervous about trying a new place because I'm super picky with my brows, but after having gotten a horrible job done at my regular place I figured it was time for a switch. Purvi has been great from day one, from the moment you sit in her chair she gives you a very individualized experience, explains to you what she sees ( as far as places where hair needs to grow back, if one eyebrow is thinner than the other etc) and then gives you a plan of how to get hot eyebrows back to perfection :) She definitely makes sure you're happy with your experience, and you can't beat the price, $7 for eyebrows is great when you have a real professional! Came here after a horrible experience at Ziba. The Ziba lady ended up making my eyebrows too thin and just ugly. After that experience I was very skeptical of going anywhere. I tried Aayu out and I LOVE it. I had Purvi, She left a beautiful shape even though the past lady messed them up and somehow didn't make them thinner. They are very attentive and the threading was almost completely painless. I've been coming back while letting them grow out in between.. This place is great! I needed a place nearby in LB (live in LB - work in southbay) that is open late enough for when I leave the office late but really need my brows tamed. The young lady Nisha was super sweet and did a great job on my brows! I really like that they offer either witch hazel or lotion as I have sensitive skin and lotion will usually break my skin out. Ive been getting my eyebrows threaded for a few years now. My eyebrows have never looked this good. I have very thin but unruly eyebrows, she was able to not only tame and shape them, but i also had a henna dye. These ladies are great!!! They do get busy so if you have the time try to go not on a weekend. They are fast and know what they are doing. BE CAREFUL. I gave this place two chances when I moved to Lakewood and both times the girl who did my eyebrows messed up. The first time she accidentally took a line out from the middle of my left brow, and the second time she made one side WAY shorter than the other. To make the matter worse, I had specifically asked her to watch the length at the beginning (since she sorta messed it up the first time, too). SIGH. They are super friendly and I agree the lotion is nice, but overall I don't think it's worth it. I won't be going back! :( read more
