BEWARE of this place. I am so extremely unhappy and disappointed with my appointment earlier today. I have been going to this salon for 8 years and decided I am NEVER going to come back. If I could put 0 stars, I would. My brows are naturally thick (as you can see in the picture I am also not wearing any makeup) and I asked for a simple clean-up for the strays. I got up from the chair with my eyebrows THIN, UNEVEN, and it doesn't follow any natural curve of my face. I would like to recommend that this place seriously consider getting experienced threaders. My skin around my eyebrows look red and swollen which is proof that this lady was using unnecessarily deep pressure on my skin. It stings so bad and it's been an hour since I left the place. Even though eyebrows can grow back, I think this business is going down the toilet. I addressed my concerns with the front desk who had the decency to not charge me for the service. But I am humiliated and have a wedding in 2 weeks. This the worst experience ever. read more

Honestly I'd been going to this place for years but now I have to find somewhere else. Sometimes they get it right... sometimes they don't. I only continued to go because of the convenience of it being very close to me but it's no longer worth it. The Indian woman who's a bit darker than the rest, slim, with long black hair is SO ROUGH it's actually insane. I kid you not it hurt so bad it was pissing me off. She threaded unnecessary hair, missed some, and managed to cut my eyelids. She took forever as well. The older woman used to do them well but she doesn't give as much attention to detail anymore and the youngest girl oddly does them the best now, although she puts a weird arch to them. On top of it they ALL somehow manage to thin my eyebrows out even when it's not what I want. They also keep upping their prices. Lol I'm done. read more

I normally come here to get my eyebrows done, I've been coming for a year and have never had an absolute issue. I have very thick and full eyebrows and when the owner was doing my eyebrows she thinned them up so bad. The left one is literally a line and the right has a slight arch. Been coming here for years. It's always a gamble with who's gonna be there working which is why I won't risk coming again. Went in yesterday for eyebrow threading and this woman went in! On my eyebrows. Majority of my eyebrows were threaded off and some skin from the bottom part of the brow. All I needed was a clean up and she couldn't even do that with. After shortening and thinning my eyebrows I was charged 10$. It's dumb overall considering their menu said eyebrow threading-8.99 and up... they need a way to sneak in tips I guess. Wanted to try this place out since it's so close to home. The shop is hidden inside the plaza. I think the lady that did my eyebrows was Anu. She was nice I like how she warmly greeted each customer as they came in. As I was waiting, I noticed the chairs were clean and the place was well kept. I asked another patron which lady she preferred and she said they both did a good job. It was finally my turn and she was nice to ask me how I wanted my eyebrows and if it was my first time. I just told her that I didn't want my brows too thin and I needed a kleenex because i tend to get teary eyed. She cleaned her hand with hand sanitizer before she started +1 star! She was the FIRST threading lady that has ever done my brows without making me cry. She was so gentle and took her time! She massaged the lotion into my brow and temple area after she was done :)) Heads up with the credit cards, they do accept but they charge $1. Nicest business in this strip mall. This isn't my first eyebrow threading rodeo. I've been getting mine threaded for a few years now, and I've been to various places, so I know what's up. When I went in, the woman who did my eyebrows was just hanging out, watching tv... because it was so slow. Price was great for eyebrows. $6.99. I could tell that the owners took a lot of pride in keeping their business clean. Everything was brightly lit. Although not extravagantly decorated, it was still really nice. The lady who did my eyebrows was easy to talk to. I think she was the owner. But we talked about San Francisco and shopping on Black Friday. She really enjoyed the conversation. She said she's been threading for about 5 or 6 years. You could tell that she took a lot of care in threading. She didn't snap the thread or pinch me at all. I am guilty of going to different places to get my eyebrows done because I moved miles away but I always find myself coming back to her. She's worth the drive. No one can do my eyes brows as good as her. She knows exactly how I like it. I also get a Brazilian wax from her. She's gentle and make sure im comfortable before the procedure starts. Watched a woman get eyelash extensions by the main lady. They looked great! I asked the woman how long they last and she said about 3 weeks! I may need to come and try it out. I had my cheeks, sides and lip done: $16. There was a line to wait and it was a long time, maybe more than 3 mins. The woman that worked on me seemed inexperienced and took long. Mixed feelings.... Today was my first visit to this eyebrow threading. In the beginning? Let's just say that it was a little bit touch and go. I got to be the lucky person to be groomed by a newbie - First day(learned this after I got bruised). She hurriedly cleaned my eyebrows, silence/no questions and it looked 'aight. I was a bit disappointed but I thought "Whatever, i 'm out of here...it's under $8" and I was feeling like a silly brat. My first impression and funky attitude adjusted when a more experienced groomer(owner?) swooped in to save the day. I think she saw it on my face.....perhaps also the expression of pain from the threading(the thing kept snapping during initial threading...to the point that I thought I was in a rice krispies jingle). Poor own way and soso(my eyebrows) were a bruised/battered paternal pair. After senior worked her magic, they looked absolutely devine_!!! Left a tip...here's the impression I got from this place - the owner was honest(gave tip to newb), can read their clients, have pride in their work and work well with different client temperaments. Will be back!! I love love the shape of the brows. Tip: cold green teabag/lavender/tea tree oil help ease soreness. Update: Next day: Ouch! Still burns. Doing serious tea tree oil and lavender on these brows. Two days: Better today.Tiny faint scabs. Might be worse if I did not keepwashing and babying skin. The last time I had this? During my teen years when I allowed a friend with little experience to wax me. The problem? The newbie and friend kept going over the skin several times (kindna like rug burn...except I didn't get the big O and this time someone else took over and gave me nice brows). If you try it, Please....for the love of god...ask for the owner/experienced person. She was gentle, accommodating and knew her stuff. Alright it's in a very uhh not so nice parking lot/ strip mall area...in a corner. The business' surrounding Anu are not well maintained..but Anu looks fabulous. It's bright, cheery and clean! I've had my eyebrows plucked,waxed and threaded. Threading looks the best on me and I stick with it. The last place I went to though uggh the woman was too harsh and when little sister suggested her new place that was great and super close I went for it. Early sat we stopped by. The mother worked on me and her daughter worked on my sister. First thing I got was an inspection of my then current eyebrow situation. She asked where I'd gotten them done before..you see she said my eyebrows were slightly crooked and just a bit thinner on one. Ohh I like expertise and pride in ones work and she had it. I let her know the last time was harsh and she was sooo gentle and took her time. Eyebrows were great.....AND so was the pressure point massage I got at the end!! $6 suckkaaa for me and another for the little sister. So this place.... I used to love it! The one on the first station to the left does an amazing job! She is very sweet and nice. But the other girls are so unprofessional. When you walk in and request the person you want, they push you to get someone else and ask you over and over and over!!! If you say no, they will roll their eyes at you and start talking about you. Never again. I had time before class so I thought I'd try somewhere new & close by for my lip & chin. After reading the reviews I thought I'd have a great enough experience to leave my eyebrow lady in Monterey Park. After waiting for 30 minutes & confusion I finally got to be serviced. The lady was going so fast & so rough that the thread broke 3 times. She kept going back & fourth between my lip & chin & never focusing on one section. I don't know if she was rushing because people were waiting or if that is how she always is. When I finally got up to pay they said it's $1 charge for using my debit card. I felt my face getting hot so I asked for aloe vera in which has always been applied without me asking. Once I got in my car I looked at my face again & it was red, full of bumps, & itchy. I usually go to Sabi's but decided to try this place because it's closer so I figured I'd give it a shot- their customer service is terrible!! I'd been drinking a coffee as I waited for my turn, when it was my turn I asked the lady if I could please throw my EMPTY cup into their trash can. She said no and suggested I walk across the parking lot to throw it away in the parking lot trash can. Mind you, I'm 8 months pregnant, and it's 90 degrees outside- but even that didn't matter. By far the best eyebrow threading place!!!! I don't know her name but the older lady is EXTREMELY gentle when she is threading. Iv'e went to different places to get my eyebrows done they would usually bleed a little since i have sensitive skin but not here!! They are by far the best and have gained a permanent customer. The owner was very nice but i had a horrible experience here the last time i went to get a wax. I was the last customer of the night before they closed and as i was paying at the register with the girl that does the eyebrow threading with the very long black hair, after i paid with her i walked over to the tip jar by one of the mirrors and placed some cash in before walking out to my car. On my way home i realized that i left my clutch (which had money and very expensive makeup inside) on the register counter!! I freaked out and went back but it was too late they were already gone. I was determined to come back first thing in the morning to pick up my clutch. I arrived before they opened and the girl with the long hair arrived with a man who i think was the owners husband. I told the girl that i was only there to pick up my black clutch that i left on the counter last night. She gave me a blank stare as if she had no idea what i was speaking about. She proceeded to tell me that i must have left it somewhere else after i left here last night because she doesn't remember anyone leaving anything behind..i couldn't believe that she would deny it. I told her i was the very last customer and i know for a fact that i left it on this counter. She told me i can go ahead and look and see if i can find it. I was so upset i actually contemplated a police report. I've never experienced a case of theft at a place of service before. Just double check that you have all of your belongings before leaving this place because they will steal your things. NEVER EVER COMING HERE AGAIN. read more
