Start to finish, I had a great experience with AB Carpet! Ripped up the old carpeting in my upstairs hallway and down the staircase. Installed vinyl wood look flooring upstairs and a stock carpeting on the staircase. I had let them know I was not planning on staying more than a year in this home so I needed a budget friendly replacement. They never tried to upsell me and helped me decide on flooring that would look great now and help me sell in a year. Installers were wonderful. On time, courteous and mess free! The entire team of A.B. Carpet is outstanding. I was under a lot of stress to get a large project completed for a relative before they returned from the hospital and Christine's calming, charming, positive attitude assured me they would figure it out. After listening to my thoughts, she wisely recommended quality flooring products that she knew they could ship in quickly. She then called upon Walt, her "estimator" (and husband by the way!) and routed him over to meet me at the end of the day. From there, Linda sat with me and juggled the 2 installation team's schedules to meet my needed timeline. Several days later it all came together with their installation teams led by Marvin and Gia arriving and putting in the carpet and vinyl flooring. They were fun to watch and work with, very neat and were quality/caring professionals. Each one of the install days, Linda was following up with me to ensure all went well....! A.B. Carpet installed a luxury vinyl tile look floating floor in my kitchen yesterday. I could not be happier with the quality of the installation. My corner cabinets could not be moved yet you would never know the floor was installed around it instead of underneath. They did a fantastic job and cleaned up ever. The folks at the showroom were incredibly helpful in picking the right flooring option too. I was leaning towards tile but the vinyl planks they helped me pick out were a much better option for what I needed. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

I'm rather stingy with my 5 star reviews but AB Carpet richly deserves this rare accolade. Serving the Monroe market for close to 15 years AB is a true small local business who tries harder. We wanted to finally have floors that match and AB was recommended to us as a option to the big box or big budget TV ad retailers that has a habit of Nickle and Diming you to death. Took 3 samples home and 2 estimates later we have beautiful floors that were installed in a day with no hassle.All furniture was moved carefully,no adhesive fumes, fully warrantied for 20 years and a very attractive price to match. I like being able to unequivocally recommend a small local business that does right by it's community...... It doesn't happen often enough. read more

I had carpeting installed in an empty bedroom by another company. The carpeting buckled very quickly and had to be re-kicked and trimmed a little bit. I called AB for the repair seeing as the original company's owner passed away and they shut down. I spoke to a woman at AB about what happened and explained the situation, she proceeded to have a back and forth price conversation I assume with an owner or installer. The price was definitely much higher than I expected seeing as it's not a big room. The room was still empty, it was literally a 15-20 minute job that had to be done. I reached out to another company and they did a nice job, no issues for almost half the price. A.B. Carpet & Flooring (1600 Perrineville Road, Monroe Twp, NJ) did a very professional job installing carpet in our master bedroom and adjoining closet. This included a "rip up" of the pre-existing old carpet. The installers were: "on time" for the appointment; polite; friendly; very responsive to any questions and did an excellent "clean up" afterwards (sweeping/vacuuming). Bunch of nice guys. AB Carpet is the perfect example of why you should deal with a small, local business rather than a big box store for your flooring needs. They installed a new hybrid vinyl plank floor for me yesterday, and it isn't possible to overstate the pleasure of working with them, from the first time I walked into the store, to choosing a floor, to getting the measuring and estimate, to installation. We had 2 rooms of carpeting installed and purchased through them, quite a costly job, about a month after install our transition piece between the wood floor, and carpet busted, my husband went to the store to explain what happened, their immediate response was 150 Dollars for a new piece of transition piece ,which is like about 12-15 inches, I called the store to tell them that perhaps the carpeting wasn't installed properly between the carpeting and the transition piece, it seems hollow looking at the carpet underneath where the transition piece broke off and asked for someone to come out to take a look, the owner came to my house and as soon as he walked in the door without even looking at it 100 dollars, after my husband initially told them 150 was a lot, after we just spent a grand amount on the carpet, so they came down to 100 dollars, didn't look at the issue we raised, was arrogant and unwilling to work with us, said I have to go to the car I don't have the molding, p.s. never came back, the store called and left a message about coming out, that this guy whom happens to be the owner came back, and no one was home, we have been staying safe and staying home so that was not true, my husband called the store and she said 100 dollars ! Yes or no! When I mentioned they were supposed to take a look and and make a determination or explain to us how this happened, she said you have the wrong transition piece there and that's why it broke, so they just barely stuffed enough carpet under it, without letting us know the transition piece needed to be changed or it would break, so 100 dollars! no if and or buts! Very frustrating to feel like your being taken advantage of as a senior citizen. Obviously only care about making money, not customers read more

I purchased my home three years ago and I needed floors throughout. I went to A. B. Carpeting to pick out floors and carpeting. I have known the owners (Wally & Chris Ganz) for quite some time; not only are they very good people, they are very knowledgeable and helpful. After I picked out my flooring, Wally Ganz and his crew did an outstanding job laying down the floors and installing the carpeting throughout my home. Let's fast forward two years; I was shopping around for area rugs for my living room and dining room area but I couldn't find anything. I said to myself, "Let me take a trip to A.B. Carpeting to find area rugs." Upon my arrival, I met with Chris Ganz and she was more than helpful. I had brought a female friend of mine for her input as well as Mrs. Ganz's input. Sure enough, I saw some samples that would look good in my living room and dining room, and Mrs. Ganz kindly gave me some samples to take home. As a result, I went home, and I was able make a decision on area rugs. The next day, I went back to A. B. Carpeting and I showed Mrs. Ganz what I had picked out. A couple of days later, Wally Ganz came to my home to take measurements where I wanted the area rugs to go. Later, Mr. Ganz's crew came to my home to lay out the area rugs and they gave my front door area, living room and dining room some fantastic pop. A.B. Carpet does outstanding work.
