Douglas was extremely communicative and easy to reach, helped scout materials to make sure the new floor matched our existing floor, and was generous with his expertise when we were selecting tile for the kitchen and making design decisions. He also provided detailed estimates and priced his services very reasonably. As others have noted, he and his team are punctual, neat and efficient. It's hard to find great service, speed AND reasonable prices, and with Costa Floor you get all three. I recommend them with zero hesitation!

However, the work Aromas did on the floors of our home is so atrocious that others should be made aware. We had a pipe break in our home last year and it caused significant damage to the first floor and the basement of our new construction home. On the first floor, one half of the wood floor needed to be replaced (ironically, the poor leveling from the builder allowed for only half of the floor to be impacted). Because we were new home owners, brand new to the area, and expecting our twins in less than two months, we went with the recommendation of a local expert and hired Aromas to do the floor. We continue to pay the price for this poor decision, as the quality continues to deteriorate. The repairs took over a month, and despite a lot of back and forth about mismatched coloring, wood marks, etc., the floors were "completed" with numerous splits and defects. Enough so that the company's owner came out to see the work. While they attempted to fill some of the larger cracks, it was done very sloppily and fixed nothing. What's done is done, but it's shocking to see how one side of the floor differs from the other. Please see the included photos for proof. The difference in quality is obvious and it's unfortunate. In retrospect, I wish they took longer to provide a higher quality product. But more than anything, I wish we never hired them. The floors split more and more every day, and are now becoming hazardous to our small children who are now crawling and running around with bare feet. Be warned.

The communication between workers, project managers, and office staff is nonexistent. We were constantly on the phone trying to figure out what was going on with our project and when workers would be returning. It reached the point where we had to threaten to have someone else finish the job Aroma'z started. Small finishing touches took multiple attempts to complete correctly. I don't know if the job would have ever been finished had we not been on top of them calling constantly to get workers to come out and finish up. Overall, the work was done very well, specifically the tile floors, backsplash, and countertops. You will not be upset with the finished product if you can tolerate the process, but we will not be using them for any future projects due to the lack of communication.

It was comforting that they have a location where I can talk to them in person where in the past contractors that didn't finish work, did not return calls and were nowhere to be found. I had James finish our kitchen, living room, foyer, banister and stairs. Every detail from the installation to the paint work was not only top quality, it was communicated through every step. After an emergency plumbing issue that resulted in our sewer line needing to be dug up and totally…read morereplaced, our front lawn was a mess. Our back yard also needed some TLC, but neither my husband nor I have green thumbs, and neither of us have the patience to put in the extensive work that would have been required to fix up our property. I decided to enlist a landscaper not only to correct the issue leftover from the plumbers, but to do a general cleanup of our entire property. I tried calling a couple of other landscaping companies before contacting J&A. One told me that they couldn't help me, and I had to play phone tag with another company, which was frustrating and annoying and just didn't sit right with me. I would call them and the phone would go to voicemail after one ring, even if I called back minutes after they left me a voice message. When I called J&A, Marvin answered on the second ring and when I explained what we were looking for, said he could come over that evening. He was there when we got home from work, and he spent over half an hour with my husband and I walking through our property and discussing what we wanted done. He even pointed out some drainage issues that I didn't even know we had until he showed me. When we were satisfied, he told me that his crew would come by the following week, weather depending. This morning, we left for work and our property looked disastrous. When we got home, the work was finished. It looks beautiful. The service was prompt, efficient, and he did exactly what we'd discussed. I couldn't be more pleased at their responsiveness and the quality of the work done. I will definitely keep Marvin and his crew in mind when we inevitably need more work done in the future.
