Wayne knows his stuff! He is friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. His studio is located in a residential complex, but don't let that fool you for one second. He's got all the equipment and software necessary to convert your tapes DVD's you name it. The place is clean and tidy and he is extremely thorough and explaining the process and lays the price of each service out for you and makes sure there are no gray areas. Same day turnaround compared to other places I called which is the reason I made the 45 minute drive to see him. He converted 6 vhs tapes to dvd and provided me with mp4 files on a usb as well (extra charge but worth it) I'm very satisfied with Wayne's work. Wayne from AB Video Productions is absolutely amazing! I found him on Yelp after doing a search into people who could convert 130 VHS tapes into a digital format for me, and from the responses Wayne was the obvious choice. His prices are extremely fair, even beating Costco's mail service. But more importantly Wayne was extremely knowledgeable and professional when it came to this project. There were no issues he couldn't solve, including dirty tapes and varying formats sent to him. He also didn't push any of the scammy services other places seem to have, such as expiring cloud storage which will try to charge you for the rest of your life, or extra editing (though he will surely do editing if you ask). Wayne recommended burning to DVD for longevity reasons, but was also very ok with just storing the files on a hard drive I provided him from Amazon. He made a different file for every tape, and named each file after the label on the tape which makes it so much easier to go through them. He was very communicative and honest about the process, and I appreciate it greatly. I just got the hard drive back and sat with my family to watch a tape from a trip in 1998, and we couldn't stop laughing at how everything was back then. My mom said this one tape was probably worth the whole price we paid for the project, and now we'll be able to enjoy these family memories forever. Thank you Wayne for all of this! read more

I wanted to create a memorial video for my Mother, who passed away far from me during Covid. It's not easy when you're in an emotional state to do a project like this, but Wayne from AB Video Productions had all the right instincts. He is so patient and prioritizes each client's work, no matter how many times you keep editing it. He edits music, does special effects and overall produces a very moving keepsake. Our situation was an old VHS copy of some 8mm home movies done after the last house fire - it needed to be transferred to a digital medium to prevent further degradation. All I had to do was tell him what I wanted, and I got it. He even added some chapters to the DVD copies and titles which will make navigating these two hours of family movies easier. Great service really nice gentleman! Service is out of home which truthfully was unexpected as I found his service thru Yelp and it initially caught me off guard. I didn't feel comfortable going upstairs with my daughter to a strange mans home but I called him when I arrived and asked if he could come down and we completed all of the transactions outside. I had a terrific experience with wayne at A/B Video productions.. My family contracted with Wayne to be the videographer at my Mom's funeral service at Holy Cross cemetery in Culver City. It was important to have a quality videographer for the service, as many of our relatives were not able to attend the service due to COVID 19 restrictions Wayne did an excellent job shooting the raw footage of the entire service. Most importantly, wayne worked with me for hours after the service was over in we worked together to insert music and pictures into the video to complete the final product on DVD and thumb drive in Mp4 format. My family had a family reunion in Los Angeles and our family reunion journal which was to be on a CD did not arrive in Los Angeles.
