I didn't want to take the tire off due to being a right leg amputee and I really wasn't feeling up to doing all that, although I am able to (lazy). I spoke to the receptionist girl in the office and the owner Dave walked in and asked me where the car was located. I had it right out front of the shop and he jumped right on it and plugged the tire for me. Great service and great attitude there, I will be taking my business going forward. The $287 for the battery and $200 for labor. When I went to pick it up, I told him I didn't ask for a new battery because I tested it and it was at 11 V. He told me I didn't test it for low volt, which was at 10. That still didn't warrant a new battery that I never asked for. He was extremely rude and tried to intimidate me. The mechanic first removed the battery they placed and put my old one in or supposedly it was my old one. I had no way to know. That battery didn't work at all and they insisted it was my original battery. Since I have been dropped off and had an appointment to go to I argued for a bit and then eventually gave up and got the new battery in and paid the money. In hindsight, I should've had it towed to Master Autocare or somewhere else. It was a very upsetting experience. For some reason, he kept saying that I called him a lot, and insinuated that I was putting pressure on him I guess? I truly didn't even call and left it there for three days before he called me the day before I say it was ready. And yes, he should've given me an estimate over the phone and he did not. I should've insisted on an estimate. This was my fault. However, it's also his responsibility and law to give me an estimate. He told me that people leave their BMWs there all the time and just tell him to fix it. He also told me that the cost of a college football ticket is $400 and that everything is going up. I really didn't see how that was relevant, but that was his example of how inflation is hurting the economy I guess.
