These guys are awesome. Old school mechanics that really know what the hell they're doing. Reminds me of the mechanic my grandfather used to take his car to. They are honest, knowledgable and have fair pricing. They will never try to sell you anything you don't need. In fact, they refuse to. I have been wanting to rebuild the engine on my Bronco (easily a $1,500+ job) and the owner tells me that my engine is fine and that it's a waste of money and that he won't do it. He sounds like my grandfather did. Always giving me advice that I "had" to listen to because it was for my own good...even if I didn't want to. These guys are great. Every mechanic I've found through Yelp has always been a winner. Abana is no different. The characteristic I value the most out of a repair shop is honesty, and I feel like I got that here. No nervous feelings of getting a weird price, or an estimate that includes things I don't need. Nope. The guys at Abana all seem like straight-shooters. I've taken both my Honda and Audi here for any issues, or regular maintenance and I've been in and out quickly. Very pleased to have these guys around. These guys are great! I grew up at a shop similar to this and I reminisced a little when I was there...haha. Either way, I dropped by for an oil change and they apparently always keep a bay open for doing oil changes. Pricing was affordable and they had great service. I also noticed they had a machine shop in the back and people were constantly bringing in engines or other assemblies to get worked on - I'm guessing they primarily make their money from the machine shop. I only speak English and bad English and had no troubles communicating with the crew there; they knew enough English to get things done and a few were fluent, so no worries there! I came to this shop in order to fix what I believed to be a messed up CV joint after curbing my jeep. Obviously, having read the reviews here first, I expected better service than what I received. They found nothing wrong with the car, and after test driving it around the block and hoisting it up on the lift...after being told I would receive a free estimate...I was asked to pay 20 dollars as a fee for the mechanics time. I don't know much about mechanics and my father has always taken care of auto repair up until now, but a free estimate should be a free estimate. While I didn't make sure of the free estimate that day, I was previously told a free estimate would be provided on the phone. Unlike so many of these others giving positive ratings and raving about the experience, I walked out feeling taken advantage of and have sought car car at other places since. read more

In need of a auto repair shop and I try this Establishment. (Yelp good reviews) Call them first to see if they are able to repair our Subaru Forester in need of wheel bearing replacement. Mr Novoa took care of the call and said yes and in need to see veh to diagnose the problem. Been a retire auto mechanic in need to have someone do the repair is frustrating. (out of town) Took veh and the problem was found to be Pass side rear wheel bearing bad. Novoa give me and estimate on the repair in that moment but do to the need to use the veh.(the only transportation) we agry for me to get the parts at the dealer and the shop will install them. Even that the shop did not do the repair I will thanks Mr Novoa for all the help he provide to me on the moment that we meet him. Outstanding Service. read more

I've been mostly satisfied with this business. Even though I look like a kid, I did not get the impression that they were trying to rip me off and they didn't treat me like I didn't know anything. They seem to be understanding of people that want to do work on cars themselves and they do not try to upsell you. I remember having walked in with a flywheel and asked them to resurface it for me. The cost was $40. The standard around the country, and a good price. I also had a bolt that been broken inside one of the holes and they offered to take it out for $10. The headache of buying an extractor and drilling it out myself was not worth it. They told me it was going to be ready next week because the machinist was out, but I got a call about an hour later that the flywheel was ready to be picked up. I was really happy that I didn't have to wait. Oh yeah, no taxes or hidden fees. A flat $50. Another time I needed to have a spot on an oil pan welded. Because it was aluminum, I couldn't do it myself and so a special welder was needed. I should have asked how much it would be but I didn't. Turns out they went over and beyond what I needed. Cleaned the oil pan, welded it, sprayed some paint to protect it from rust, and it looked like brand new. But it was just an oil pan that I didn't need to be all fancy. I guess they needed to make money somehow because welding a tiny hole would have not made any money and they didn't want to completely rip me off either. So they charged me $80 which was a bit high for me but I am sure would have been a decent price for anyone that doesnt mind spending that much. In the end, I got my oil pan done the same day, I didn't have to buy a welder or pay for welder labor, and my oil pan has not leaked ~3 years later so in the grand scheme of things, it paid off. They are very old school cubans. No-nonsense. Remind me of my family. You will not get ghetto cuban marielito slang talk from them. Don't be worried about emailing them and not getting a reply because they are a mechanic shop with old mechanics. You will get a reply with an estimate the same day or the next. Just provide the appropriate information. read more

The AC in my car shut down a couple of weeks ago, which right before summer in Miami renders the car useless. I went to a shop that only works on air conditioners and they quoted the repair at $650. I kept looking. I found these guys on yelp and went to them on a Friday morning. They fixed the problem for an astronomically lower price. The guys were polite and honest. I was in and out in under an hour. I'm bilingual so luckily there is no language barrier for me but there is a sweet guy named Michael with a beard who speaks English and is very straightforward. For a woman, an honest mechanic shop is priceless so I'm very glad to have found these guys! read more

Just started going here and I can't believe I didn't start coming sooner.. I needed an oil change and as they were replacing the oil they notice a leak and told me they would take care of it and told me not to worry.. This place is quick, efficient, and affordable (very affordable).. The people here are really great too, not creepy like most other car places. An honest great place for all your car needs.. I badly needed some new tires for my truck. Saw the reviews on here and called them up for a price. The first thing I like about them is that they give you the "out the door" price. Everything is included, not adding in extra fees for this and that. Second, I got a very comparable price to what I was finding online. Not many local places can come close to matching online prices, and online doesn't include shipping and installation. Third, after the tires came in, I was at the shop for a total of 45 mins. That's all it took for them to replace all 4 tires. That's the fastest I've been at a tire place! 5 stars for these guys. I would definitely recommend. read more

I went here due to the reviews on Yelp, and I have no complaints. I was charged $179 for replacing two tires (I had been quoted $365 at Tires Plus on Bird Road and 38th). They saw me right away and I was out of there in about half an hour...I did go on a Wed around 2pm so it was probably a good time. This place does not have the clean look of the chain places; this is a very neighborhood, low rent type of place. They had panicked looks on their faces when I walked in until I spoke Spanish. That doesn't bother me, I was just interested in fast service and a decent price, which I feel I got. read more

It only took me 4 years to find a mechanic I like and trust here in Miami. And - these guys are great. I have an OLD car... I don't want to invest a lot at this point... but I'd love for it to carry on for another year or so. (So many mechanics don't realize that I'm not going to invest $1000 to fix an old car... it's not worth it.) They took care of the basic problems and didn't feel the need to complicate things. I'm sure there were more things that could have been taken care of... but Michael understood the goal: keep this car running for a little bit more without a lot of money outlay. Great service! (One of the guys even came out with me as I was leaving to help me get the kids' carseats back into the car and direct traffic as I pulled out their driveway. Found these guys through yelp and decided to give them a try, I needed an oil change desperately and I called in advanced and was told it would be $26 - sounded like a good deal to me. I am more amazed that I was in and out in 20 minutes! The staff were nice, and there were a few chairs I could sit on while waiting, the place isn't fancy but then why would you expect that from a mechanics? MY only downer is I need to swing back by as they did not turn off the oil change indicator on my dash board, but that is only a minor issue. I will definitely return. read more

Listen to this. I've had some issues with my car engine stuttering a little bit and the car engine light came on and I had it diagnosed with one of the major car dealerships in town. They have told me to replace 5 parts of the engine and then did reset the engine light. I've came to Abana Auto parts and was ready to purchase the parts and do the service. They've told me that some of those parts / services would be a lot of work and may not be needed. The best we could do for me not just wasting my money and them taking it, would be to wait until the engine light comes back on or something fails. So I walked out of there without having spent any $$$ for now and with what I feel great and honest advice (which is quite rare in this industry as we all know and which I appreciate). This place is fantastic. I had quite the emergency with my car and needed to get it in and fixed same day with almost no notice at all. They told me to come right on down, got it in the garage and gave me an accurate time window and price estimate for the work. The price was fair for sure. I'm brand new to the area and had no other way to get around so I NEEDED my car. I had to wait at the shop (like I said I had no other ride). After the work was completed they noticed my brake line had rusted through (they took me in the garage and showed me where it had rusted through so I knew they were being honest) at the end (from NY so I'm no stranger to rust). That needed to be fixed because it pretty much wasn't driveable with that issue. After working on my car for 2.5 hrs they took another 1.5 hrs and fixed my brake line and charged me only the cost of labor for it!! This shop seriously saved me! And at a very low cost. They will get my buisness for sure next time I need auto work completed! Hands down one of the best experiences at a repair shop I have had! read more

I took my car in for an oil change after reading the positive reviews found on Yelp and being very annoyed w/ the dealership from where I purchased my car. The staff is very friendly and don't seem like they are trying to snake you into spending more money. I've gone back multiple times and have even sent my mom, dad and sister there. My mom and sister know nothing about cars, and they took great care of both of them. While knowing Spanish is a plus but for the non-Spanish speakers, there's a young guy named Mike, his father is the owner I believe who'll take care of you. read more
