We had a wonderful time shooting engagement photos with Abben & Lily. We had planned to have a fall engagement shoot in Ann Arbor. From the moment we started communicating with them (mostly via email), they were thoughtful and thorough about planning our engagement shoot. We brainstormed possible locations with them and sent them a few photos of the outfits we were planning to wear. We also had a phone call with them before the shoot to go over logistics, and they made us feel really comfortable about how the shoot was going to go! On the day of, they picked us up and we drove to Barton Park. They gave great direction and made us feel like we were all friends hanging out, while at the same time maintaining their creative direction. They were open to our pose ideas, and always took the time to optimize the best angles and light. We went to a total of three locations, and they were fun and adaptable the whole time. Our photos were delivered to us within two weeks of the shoot using an online gallery that was easy to use and share. Overall, we were thrilled with the natural, fun, beautiful moments they were able to capture for our engagement photos and are thankful for the great memories. Abben & Lily took wedding photos for my husband and I last June. And let me say they did an AMAZING job!! I already knew Lily from high school, but that was not the only reason we chose them. After looking at their portfolio I was absolutely blown away by the quality and creativity that was shown in each shot. Lily and Abben are both very versatile in their photography, and they will match what you want in your photos to the best of their ability. Knowing Lily previously was a real plus, but they are both very easy to talk to and extremely accommodating during the planning process. Since I live on the opposite side of the state from them, I was wary of how we would make meet-ups work. To our relief, we were able to plan everything over video chat, which was super easy! I am so thankful for Abben and Lily Photography! When my husband and I got engaged, we started planning immediately! We only had 4 months before the big day, and we were on a tight budget. I was so surprised they weren't already booked the day of our wedding. Because I know this is not much time, photos were one of the first things to be prioritized., especially since it's the only thing you have to remember it all. We set a time for the engagement photos, and because I loved the way the Lawyers court on University of Michigan Ann Arbors campus looked, we went there. It ended up being under construction, I was so thankful to have Lily and Abben there, because without them we would have had no idea where to go. Abben and Lily have been such a blessing to us! We found out about them through a friend for our engagement shoot. We loved our engagement photos so much (and our families could NOT get over them!) that our choice was clear for our wedding photographers. We originally had a different wedding photographer booked since 2019 but they were not communicative like emails about when we would hear from them again would go unanswered. So, after a couple postponements due to the pandemic and it looked certain we would FINALLY have our wedding in 2022, we knew we wanted a change. We found Abben and Lily from SAW (IYKYK) just by luck in Feb of 2022. Yes, only 4 months before the wedding! Immediately, it was a stark different. Abben was our point person and was very responsive. Abben and Lily were wonderful on all levels-- professionally, and personally. We had a party of 24 people and they handled all of us with ease and grace! They made it a fun experience for us and kept it lighthearted in the stressful moments. We had our wedding in June 2022 and hiring Abben and Lily as our photographers was one of the best decisions that we had made. We fell in love with the photos they posted on their website and since we had never taken professional photos before, we were unsure if they would be able to do the same for us.
