I have not been to this dentistry as an adult so I cannot give a review based on that but... As far as the Pediatric dentist location a.k.a. Abbeville "dentist tree" it was a wonderful experience for me and my children! I arrived with four children so obviously I had a lot of paperwork to get through the lady at the front desk was so nice and accommodating, very smiley and pleasant. They also allowed my children to go back and start their x-rays before I was even done with the paperwork which I was thankful for. Everyone that worked with my children were attentive and patient. The facilities were top-notch and I loved the paint colors and decorations. This place is very appealing for children and it wasn't overbooked which was great. So thankful I have found a good dentist in Lubbock! I would recommend to anyone with children. read more

The billing "specialist" for Dentistree is incompetent. She tried blaming the fact that she couldn't do her job right on me and that I gave the wrong information. She didn't even bother calling the phone number I provided on the new patient paperwork to verify my child's insurance and assumed I gave the wrong number because it wasn't for Humana directly. Please stop assuming you've seen/know everything and that your patients are stupid. read more

I went into to check on a new lower denture. Apparently, I wasn't their style of patient. They made a treatment plan; said they'd call my doctor for instructions on medication. Four months later and I've never heard from them. The dentist and assistant were not friendly at all. The dentist made it clear by his attitude that he wasn't interested in my situation. I have been to Abbeville 3 times, always for nothing more than routine check-ups. The staff is extremely friendly. I thought it strange that they are forcing patients sign authorization forms on electronic signature devices without presenting an documents or forms at all. I was just there for routine check-ups covered by insurance, so I explained that to them and signed BLINDLY. On every visit it seemed as though every staff member was a COMMISSIONED SALES PERSON. They never stopped pressing me to upgrade the standard check-up service or to schedule additional services above what the American Dental Association describes as a routine check-up. They constantly want do additional services not covered by insurance. I had recently had a 48 year old crown glued back on, so when I went to Abbeville for routine annual check-up which includes x-rays I pointed out that repair and made them aware of that repair. Upon my departure from the regular check-up I was told that I did not owe anything. Twenty eight days, I received a Past Due Statement for additional x-rays that I never requested. So apparently any patient reference to any condition existing in your month authorizes Abbeville to bill you for extra services. They are extremely friendly and if you aren't careful they will charge you for the moon and everything between here and there. There Up-Sell Operation is their PRIMARY GOAL, not your dental health. read more

I set up myself and my kids for dental exams. On the phone, I was told as new patients it would be no charge. When I came for mine, the dentist was not personable, seemed to get irritated with my questions, and was clearly pushing for maximum profit. I did some quotes and another dentist will charge me half what they said. When I came for my kids, I found out when I walked in that they decided without telling me to add cleanings for them all. Now, I don't mind paying for things but I expect honesty, integrity, and professionalism from a dental office. Instead I was grilled about insurance and they were insisting it was all worked out before they would even see the kids. This was after I had only set up new patient exams! Further, as a kid's dentistry, you'd think there would be at least something for kids. Maybe books, magazines, even a small table with a contraption to play with. But nope, just some wall paintings and TVs for the kids to mind numb in the back while they wait. Then, the dentist looked like he needed a shower, badly, and the other dentist made me feel like I was being told what to do and when to do it for my other child. It wasn't, "This is what we're seeing. Here is my recommendation. Do you have any questions I can answer? How can I help?" Nope it was just, "You need to do this and do that as soon as you get out." She was even using dental terms I had to ask what they meant for clarity. Never, ever coming back to this dentist office again. read more

I chipped a tooth in July and got a crown. Soon after I developed an abscess. It's now November 30 and they have yet been able to arrange for a root canal. I would gladly go somewhere else but I've already paid them $269 for 25% reduced cost for the year. The office never answers, rather someone outside the office takes the calls. My appointment has been rescheduled four times. I had an appointment today and before I went I talked with them and they assured me that I would be seen. I don't drive. I got an Uber only to be told that I would not seen after all. I'm worried that I will loose the tooth. When I was told that I should take an antibiotic it took seven days to get the prescription to my pharmacy. Terrible service. Three months and still waiting. read more

I have gone to Abbeville and my kids have gone to Kids Dentistree for a few years. The dentists and dental assistants are all very nice. HOWEVER, when it comes to scheduling appointments and dealing with insurance, they are a mess. At my kids' last scheduled cleaning they had us see a new dentist. I did not have a choice over who it was and was not notified beforehand. Fine. The dentist was very sweet so I didn't have a problem with her. Unfortunately, my insurance did as the new dentist was out-of-network. So I got billed the entire visit amount. I called and left messages for three days straight before I was able to get someone on the phone. I finally spoke to their billing rep who wrote the bill off. Great. Then I went back for my kids' fillings on a Saturday. Got there 10 minutes before my appointment time and waited for well over an hour before I was told they couldn't see us that day as they were too busy. What?! They rescheduled us for a month and a half later. However, two weeks before that appointment date, they call and say they can't see us that day either and I will need to wait three more MONTHS before they can get my kids in to get their fillings. During this time I had also been attempting to get in touch with the adult dentistry side of the office to schedule my own appointment. No one ever answers the phone or returns messages. I finally gave up and called another dentist office in town to get seen. Once my kids' fillings are done I will also be switching them over to a new dental office. Only go to Abbeville Central/Kids Dentistree if you have literally no other option. Again, the dentists and dental assistants are great but their front desk staff and appointment schedulers are a nightmare to deal with. read more

I had to issues like the people below, I got in and out as quick as I wanted to. The staff is friendly, they may be busy, but they make time to check on you and to be sure that you're not bothered. I was offered a blanket because it was cold in the building. They filled me in on what I needed, what it will cost, and what I will have to pay or is covered by the insurance. They give you a take home paper to look over and tell you to take your time on your decisions. Amazing! read more

These folks have no, I mean zero concept of their patients time. The fact that you might have to wait out in the waiting room to be seen for over a half hour is pretty much standard. The you get to move to an exam room and wait some more. Here's the kicker; They made a super duty lower denture for me, but could not make it fit. Did I say MAKE IT FIT!, you bet I did. They pushed and grinded and shoved this thing in my mouth and it absolutely did not fit. It would not lock down on the implants. So, they gave up and said well, this is how it is. I just walked out. So yeah I waited a little to be seen. With the way medicine is office appointments will be backed up unless you're the first patient of the day. The staff there is wonderful. You get a detailed list of fees for what you need to have done. They are upfront with the cost. My wife and I will continue to use this office. read more

I made a morning appointment for when they first opened. Several people that came in after me were seen before me. I waited nearly an hour to be seen for them to tell me they never got the okay fax from my doctor. I had to call my doctor, have them say they sent it, ask them to resend it, and wait even longer until they got it. It would have been nice if they would have called me the day before to let me know they hadn't received that. After the cleaning, they scheduled me for my next appointment. When my reminder text came, I called and left a message that I needed to cancel because I was no longer covered for dental insurance. About a week later, I received another reminder text. They also called and left a voicemail. I had to call again and leave another voicemail. They seem extremely disorganized and I would not use them again even if I was covered. read more

It is 10:15 and I am writing this review for my 9:00 appt. I was late about 17 min after driving in from South Texas (where I work) the night before and Lamesa this morning to get a hurting tooth fixed. I was turned away because they have a 10 minute late policy. I understand the need for rules, but I think after listening to the situation they would be more compassionate. And we pay cash, no insurance they have to deal with. My family was looking for a good dental office in the area, this place isn't for us after this. So beware, they claim to work with your schedule, but only when they choose to. They did want to reschedule, whenever it was convenient for us they said, yet wouldn't go ahead and see me at 9:17 after driving in from out of town. read more

If I could leave ZERO stars I would. The dental hygienist and the dentist on staff are great, but the office staff is incompetent. They will send you to collections for 4 years without the courtesy of calling you ONE time. Mailing statements to an old address, without a response didn't trigger any brain cells to think maybe they moved (as a college kid at the time, we moved every year). One 5 second call could of prevented this entire thing (cell phone number on file has never been changed). The statement was a dispute between the office and the insurance company on billing, after every visit, I would ask what was owed, only to be told, "It was all covered". And if you try to reach out and ask them why they never called once, they will inform you they had enough time to mail a statement over and over for 4 years. To think People would have more courtesy and brain power, especially being in Lubbock (home to the courteous). AGAIN, this is a great dentist who's office is run by incompetent/rude/ignorant/lazy individuals. read more
