I contacted 2 of their offices 10 days ago with a simple question about insurance. I never received a call back after multiple tries. When I finally went in to one of their offices (since I could not get a real person to call me back) I was told that "I am only one person" and basically the message was, "I will get back to you when I am ready." Dr. LaManna and her staff at Lakeshore Family Dentistry in Glendale were very courteous and professional. I didn't have to wait very long for my appointment. The dental hygienist was extremely thorough with the cleaning and polishing of my teeth as well as the x-ray and physical exam of my teeth and gums. Dr. LaManna takes the time to explain everything that is going on with your teeth and gums. She also made sure to give me information about how to rectify any problems that I was having with my teeth. I would highly recommend the Lakeshore Family Dentistry office! I don't care to go to the dentist for it has not always been a good experience for me. I have found that I will probably be going to the dentist a lot more often now that I have found that Dr. LaManna and her staff. They made me feel comfortable and not afraid to come back. read more

Dr. Marli and staff are terrific. Thorough, efficient and caring. I transferred to Lake Shore when my old dentist cut their office hours/ days and was unable to get in when I broke a tooth. Lakeshore was able to fit me in and they have flexible hours for your schedule, including Saturdays. I am now a loyal patient. read more

I became a new patient here a couple months back. I made my appointment online and I showed up a little early to get my paperwork done. Before filling out my info on the iPad, I handed the lady at the computer my insurance card and made sure they took my insurance. She assured me that they did. Everything went well and I planned on making this my new dentist office. Throughout my experience there, there was talk between myself and the dentist about what my insurance did and did not cover. From our conversation I gathered that everything was covered except the extra flouride treatment I opted for. I was fine with that. Fast forward to now...I had received a bill for the cost of the entire dental visit in the mail. Believing it had to be a mistake, I called them and the lady on the phone said that they don't accept my insurance!! I had clearly asked and double checked to make sure that they took my insurance and now they are telling me "sorry we don't take that insurance." It would have been nice to know that before I decided to go through with the appointment so I could have gone elsewhere where my insurance would have been accepted. Very disappointed and due to these surprise charges, I would not recommend this place to a friend. read more

Dr. LaManna and her staff are so sweet, professional, and knowledgeable. I've always wondered what the smaller dental offices offered (the kind that are in little houses) and now I know. The difference is personalized care where I can build a relationship with my dentist. I was previously at Forward Dental (located on Port Washington Road) and they had horrible customer service and made mistakes in my mouth that Dr. LaManna now has to fix. I'm confident that this was the best change for me and I highly recommend you check them out if you're looking for a positive change. read more

I had a great experience at Lakeshore Family Dentistry today. Not only did I receive a free electric toothbrush but I had an experience like no other before. I've had several bad experiences with dentists and Dr Abbey has renewed my faith. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly and easily around my work schedule. I was greeted with warm smiles from all staff members. The office manager and hygienist are incredibly knowledgable in their respective fields. My exam was overwhelmingly thorough, I've never been checked for oral cancer before. I have a few small cavities to take care of and was able to see them on the X-rays and camera. I have a new found understanding of dental home care and how my diet affects my teeth. I am actually looking forward to caring for my teeth and my future appointments. My family and friends will be heading there too! read more

Apparently I missed the boat on the free electric toothbrush from what the other reviewers mentioned but it is a 5 star nonetheless. I saw great reviews for Dr. Lamanna and decided to give her a shot. I've been going there for years now and have been nothing but impressed. She and her team are very friendly and are willing to spend as much time as needed to help. I've had many cavities and fillings over the years but haven't seen any uptick in the frequency of needing to get work done since going to Dr. Lamanna. read more

Great customer service from everyone in the office, Dr. Lamanna will talk and explain things well as well. But only problem is she is fabricating work for herself that is not needed. I have several filling done from her in a short period and she has done a lousy job on them. One of them failed miserably and upon second and third opinion from different dentist it was confirmed she did lot of unnecessary work on that and every other tooth she worked on. She will ensure you are a repeat customer and rob you from your god given teeth and replace it with something that will sure make you a permanent customer, going in for bigger problems each time. Please find a ethical dentist who tries to preserve what you have and give you the best of care. She is very shameless and unethical, she will overdo, fabricating more work and also over bills. read more

I had a scheduling conflict for my cleaning with my usual dentist so I was happy to get in fairly quickly with Dr. Lamanna. Plus, new patients get an electric toothbrush, which was great. She is very nice and the office is cutting edge. I was shocked at the end of my examination when she informed me I had three cavities needing fillings. I have a good history and never had a cavity in my adult life. It just didn't sit well with me so I scheduled a second opinion with a different dentist. I'm glad I did because I had no cavities after all. It has been over a year since her false diagnosis so I'm positive they were not cavities. I gave her the benefit of the doubt since she is very nice and I don't like to think of anyone as crooked, but after talking with a number of my friends who also saw her, they had similar experiences of a dramatic increase in cavities. I do not trust her nor do my friends. read more
