I've been going here for about a year now. Tammy does my nails and Tina does my toes. These two ladies pay attention to detail, they listen to my wants and needs, and I enjoy having casual conversation while taking time for myself. The atmosphere is great and the salon is clean. The owner, Kim, is very accommodating and also does a great full set. I am very particular and Tammy has taken the time to remember my name even before I remembered hers and greets me by name every time I walk in. If I'm in a rush she gets me in and out and still does a great manicure. Tina is the cuticle goddess! She does not rush and makes sure to double check that she's cleaned everything up nicely. Visited this salon during COVID-19. The salon is very clean and is typically not crowded. Tammy does an excellent job, takes her time, and doesn't rush which is appreciated. Kitty did my nails today - mani with gels and pedi with regulars. $57 including a discount for bringing a friend with me (both of us got $5 off). Kitty was very friendly and detail-oriented. She painted two coats of a very difficult deep red color that tends to look streaky if not done well and it looks great! She added a beautiful hand painted snowflake detail to one nail on each hand and foot. I'm so happy with my nails and the experience I had with Kitty! My friend had a different girl do her nails and she wasn't happy - it was done too quickly, so it streaked and the girl had to do a third coat to cover it, but that made the color way too dark. Kitty redid her nails and did them right. My friend also left very happy. They really work hard to make their customers happy, you just have to let them know if there's any issues. They told me they'll even do free touch ups if any of the nails happen to chip within a few days, just stop in and they'll fix it. I am a very happy customer! We had our nails done at Abbey's nails the day before our wedding. We had a large party and the owners were incredibly accommodating. The chairs you sit in while you get a pedicure are amazing! But by far, my favorite thing is the level of perfection of my nails. I requested a specific design on my nails and Abbey's Nails delivered. My nails look gorgeous, sparkly and perfect! A few of my bridesmaids also had their eyebrows waxed here too and they came out great. You can trust anyone at Abbey's Nails with any of your nail or waxing needs. I visited the place based on other Yelp.com reviews. I went to many nail salons in Ashburn area and some were better than others, but no place in my mind was worth of going back. I was very pleased with the service I received at Abbey's and I will definitely go back. Tran did my manicure and pedicure. She was very considerate and polite. I couldn't decide on the color and she was very patient with me and helped me decide. Even after she did my nails she asked me if I liked the color and told me she could change it if I didn't. For my manicure I did gel shellac and it has been three weeks now and there is no chipping or peeling of the gel. I normally go only to Leesburg Nails for pedicures but since they are not open on Sundays and Abbey Nails is, I decided to give this place a try. The shop is small but not cramped at all, very clean and bright. Four nail stations and four pedicure stations are about it, plus a drying bench and a couple of chairs for waiting. I don't know the name of the woman who did my pedicure but she did a nice job. I noticed that the technician who did the woman next to me was being extremely careful while painting her nails, which is nice to see. I've been to one nail place that the person just slapped polish all over my toes and then cleaned up the edges afterward, needless to say that pedicure didn't last more than about a week. My technician did a very good job as well. Price is less than I expected at $27 for regular pedicure with no paraffin. I didn't see any type of 'Menu of Services' posted around so I don't know what else they might offer or the prices. I'd definitely come back here if I only have time for a pedicure on a Sunday again or if Leesburg Nails is too crowded. read more

Went two times for a Shellac manicure. First time the woman did a good job with the polish but not with the manicure part. I asked for all nails to be short and even but a couple were longer then others and I ended up trimming them when I got home. However she did a great job on the polish application so I thought I would go back and get the polish application only, no manicure. The second time I went I asked for polish only no manicure. A different woman did my nails and she didn't understand a word I said. She kept trying to give me a manicure and I kept repeating I want polish only no manicure. Even at the end she tried to charge me the price for a manicure not just polish only. (There is a $10 difference). I could tell she wasn't doing a good job on the polish but I was just hoping that it would last like the first time I got it done. Nope! Didn't make it past Day 3. The polish started coming up at the cuticle line and was snagging on my hair and clothes. I checked it out and it peeled right off with no damage to my nail. I didn't have to force it. The next day another finger started doing the same thing. By Day 5 a third nail. I won't be going back. read more

Worst experience of getting my nails done. I came in at 3:30 for a mani-pedi appointment. They did my pedicure and then made me wait an HOUR and FOURTY FIVE minutes for my manicure because she had other girls who walked in. A thoroughly degrading and demeaning experience-- it was my first time getting out of the house after having a baby, and boy do I regret coming to abbey nails. Another nail technician finally came to do my nails- which needed up being sloppy and untidy. No one even asked me if I wanted water! Not even joking. But, try to book a week out because Kim is extremely popular. ---I've tried more than enough nail places in the ashburn/sterling area. NOTHING compares to Abbey Nails. I was also convinced to give this a try due to the other great reviews. (Thanks!) I made an appointment with less than a 24-hour notice, and had no issues booking. When I arrived at my appointment, someone greeted me and headed me to the pedicure chairs. I received a pedicure, gel full set and got my eyebrows done. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I tend to be indecisive when it comes to choosing nail colors and Tran was extremely patient and understanding when I kept changing my mind :) I accidentally broke a nail 3 days after (completely my fault). Went in to get it fixed and couldn't find the same nail color I used last time. Tran told me I could pick out a new color and she'd repaint them for me--with no hesitation. So I got a gel repair and a fresh color, when I went to pay, she refused to charge me. TALK ABOUT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I still tipped her because she did a phenomenal job and I expected to pay upward $15 like most nail salons do in an event like this. 3.5 stars. Had a mani/pedi on Friday and I love the mani but not as happy with the pedi. I have been searching for a replacement nail salon since moving to the area in July 2014. Abbey Nails comes as close as I have found to a replacement. I was absolutely spoiled by my old salon and I can not find any place I will give more than 3.5 stars in comparison with the work they did. Abbey Nails did a wonderful job on my hands its the feet where I am disappointed. I run or walk every day so I need more than a casual pass of the pumices stone over my heals. Every salon I have tried since moving to the area has left me going home and attacking my heals myself and Abbey nails was no different. And I am picky in that I like the polish to cover the entire toe nail not just the top (my nails curve and she left the sides naked) I'll probably be back, as they are better than most in the area but I am still on a search for a great pedicure. read more

Just tried out Abbey Nails after reading great reviews online. I was NOT disappointed! I got a gel manicure done by Kim and she did a SUPERB job. I already had gel on my nails so she had to remove that and put new on and I have to say that I think by far she is the gentlest person I have ever been too. She took her time and didn't try to rush with the removal like some places do. My manicure came out looking so perfect it's hard to believe. Both Kim and her husband (the owners) are very friendly and are genuinely interested in offering quality services to their customers. I would very highly recommend checking this place out. I decided to go to this place after reading the great Yelp reviews, and I'm so glad I did. I had Kitty do my pedi and gel mani. I have never had someone so detail oriented and take so much time to ensure my nails were perfect. In between each coat of my gel manicure, she took time to make sure there were absolutely no mistakes on each nail before putting them under the light. I had gotten an OPI color on my toes, and Kitty and Kim really took the time to color match a gel color perfectly. They both painted one of their own nails with the OPI to find the closest match possible, and I'm very happy with the color they found. Seriously, this place has the greatest customer service! I had a pedicure here today. I really enjoyed it! They didn't do anything out of the ordinary but they did everything well. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and my wait was very short. My pedicurist was thorough and did a really solid job. The music they play is relaxing and the chairs provide a good massage. All in all a very pleasurable experience and the pedi only cost $27 (I left $5 for tip). The location is convenient right near Hay Rd on Ashburn Rd. Very disappointed! I went in less than two weeks ago and received a pedicure and a gel powder manicure. I was told the manicure should last at least 3-4 weeks. The manicure started chipping on day one, only to follow with more chips and color flaking off of six other nails daily until today. Went in today to see what could be done. I was told to replace the original color on all nails was free, but if I wanted to change the color, it was almost as much to get another manicure. I expressed my displeasure at this because it doesn't make too much sense, why charge so much for a color change as I wasn't coming in because of the color, it was the chipping. I was hoping the owner would have worked with me with the original complaint, not after I complained about the charge for a color change. Took the color off, and won't go back there again. read more

I have seen Tami for more than a year. Called and made a 2 PM appointment. She explicitly asked me to be on time because she had another client at 3:30 PM. I arrived at 2 pm precisely. Tami was still working on her previous client. Kim began the process to soak my gel polish off my toes. Normally, Tami wraps my toes and does my manicure while the gel polish is soaking off. Today, I was left with my toes soaking because Tami was still working on the previous client. She did not start working on me until 2:19 PM. I specifically looked at my phone to check the time. Any shape or design I've brought in pictures of, they've been able to do perfectly!
