    Sherbet cupcake
    Ariana S.

I was in town for a few days and it was my sons birthday. I wanted a custom cake but it was so last minute, I called so many places and no one could do it. I found Abbie Cakes, they said they couldn't do a cake but they could do cupcakes. I came in and told them how I wanted them, shaped as a 14. They did a great job, my son loved it. We got dessert the day I ordered the cupcakes (a day before my sons bday) I absolutely loved the chocolate chip cookie sandwich, that was a 10/10!!! My kids also really liked the brownies They recommended leaving the cupcakes out up to 2 hours before serving and they were right. Don't try to serve them right out of the fridge. The cupcake that I did not like was the sherbet. Buy we got red velvet, chocolate and tiramisu and they were good! Will definitely be coming back to Abbie Cakes when I'm back in town. Loved the ambiance, it's very cute and have plenty of snack food items.

    Dessert bar

We got officially married in CA in June - had a fabulous cake, etc. - so for this second ceremony in AZ in Nov at our new church home (the gorgeous, historic Church at Litchfield Park) I wanted a dessert bar. I thought it would be fun, especially since we'd already done the whole cake-cutting thing. Abbie Cakes did not disappoint. They have all the fun treats you expect - cake pops, bars, shooters - in a such a wide variety of flavors it was hard to choose. So, I enlisted my hubby and my daughter, who was back in CA in college. She'd already been to my first wedding and had a busy schedule so I wasn't pressuring her to fly out. But, immediately after we went through all the dessert bar options, she was ready for us to buy her plane ticket. I picked up some tiered trays on Amazon and the display was as gorgeous as the desserts were delicious. It felt like a really a good decision and people really loved the sweet treats, alongside the tea sandwiches the church ladies made for us.

    Cupcakes and coffee

Treats are very good, and there's a variety that you can choose from. Coffee is also very good and they typically have seasonal flavors as well. Definitely check it out if you're in the neighborhood.

Cute little place! Abbie Cakes is tastefully decorated, welcoming and has lots of goodies. We ordered cupcakes for my wife's birthday. They were beautiful little cakes with a Biscoff cookie on top. I can't imagine not finding that special something. Cakes, Cookies, loaves, oh my! And coffee too! This is a great little family owned business with people who look like they love what the do! Why not give them a try?

    Exquisite cake

Ordered a cake to celebrate my grandma's 90th birthday. Boy, did they deliver!! My grandma says it was the most beautiful cake she'd ever seen, everyone loved the flavor (churro cake with cinnamon cream cheese buttercream), and the process from order to pickup was smoother than their buttercream. They offered multiple unique as well as classic flavors, helped with correct sizing for number of guests, and worked with me regarding decorations and coloring. The cake was delicious, not too sweet, and the frosting was perfection (melded with the cake so smoothly it was like silken clouds). I normally scrape off the frosting from cakes as it usually tastes like chemicals/stabilizers or is sickeningly sweet, but with Abby Cakes their frosting was a delightful indulgence. They did a fantastic job, and I can't thank them enough for helping make my grandma's 90th birthday an event to remember. Please ignore the holes in the top of the cake, those were after we took the candles out.

Brown sugar shaken latte with maple whip.

I've been here many times in the last few years and I always come back even if it's out of my regular commute. Place is cute and fun. Dessert displays are beautiful. Downfall to this location is the parking but it's worth it! Today I tried what may be my new favorite drink in all of AZ coffee land. The Brown Sugar Shaken latte with maple foam my God it's amazing!! I got a large but wish there was a bigger size. Also took home a warm apple crumble scone. Size and look were great but taste was amazing! The staff was friendly and although they took a lil time to get my drink, due to busy time, again it was worth it!!

Pretty cup cakes, but not one guest was happy with the flavor. Good customer service here. 60$ for 1/2 dozen. Wasn't worth the money.

Pretty cupcakes but, not one guest was happy with the flavor I asked for. Good customer service. Presentation is always good here. 60$ for 1/2 dozen well over priced.

Some of the selection on a Sunday afternoon

Came in an hour before closing on a Sunday and they still had plenty of pastries to choose from! The person who helped us was patient and went over all the flavor options for us which I really appreciated! They had the shop decorated and decked out in valentines decor which I loved! There's some seating outside and one small table inside so don't plan on dining in during the summer. Here's what we ordered: Cupcakes *Churro: Tastes like a snickerdoodle! *Carrot cake: the frosting tasted like a caramel frappe sooo good & if you're a fan of carrot cake you'll love this one *Chocolate Chip: this one was my favorite The texture of all the cupcakes leaned more towards a muffin. They were all moist and dense but not fluffy. Brownie: I shared this with my family and I was the only one that liked it. The brownie is very rich and if you're not a fan of dark chocolate this one is not for you. Cheesecake: all I could taste was cream cheese. This was the only thing I didn't like. I would definitely come back and try their coffee and breakfast sandwiches!

    Red Velvet

Staff was very friendly but the product is just so below average. We didn't even eat 2 out 3 of the things we ordered. It makes me sad because we wanted it to be stellar and support local. I just can't go back. My old firm used to buy the cupcakes for our birthdays and they were always just ok. Just OK, that's the review. Additionally, very few items to choose from.

The cafe/bakery is cute inside but definitely not impressed by their drinks. Cold brew tasted so sour with a strong cloying aftertaste.

This is the type of place you want to see stay and grow and it's so sad to hear that they're leaving due to an awful landlord. Their teas and speciality drinks were all amazing. For example I usually like 75% sweet but this is considered perfect to me so take that as you will The guava matcha was so fun, I love the fruity and the matcha and that it's made with coconut water. I tried the earl gray matcha and unfortunately I have discovered I'm not an earl gray fan but I 100% see why people like it. If you love earl gray, you have to try their earl gray matcha (Tokyo Fog). It's great, I just am not a fan of earl gray unfortunately. Please give this beautiful tea house some love and support before their last day on May 30th. They have some fun events and raffles in the evening on their last day so swing by and check them out!

There was brownies, cake pops, chocolate covered pretzels, rice crispy treats, pretty much something for everyone. I knew I had to get a few cupcakes for family and the kids so we got 8 cupcakes which was $24 plus tax which came to $26 and change. We got vanilla, salted Carmel and cookie butter which we all shared and I didn't get a picture of. It was probably our favorite, then salted Carmel then vanilla. There was actual cookie butter mixed in and in the center. It was delicious and we haven't come across a cookie butter cupcake before which was cool to see a new flavor. The second favorite was salted Carmel. You tasted the salt and the sweet Carmel center and was delicious as well. The cupcakes were more dense than I like but the flavor was there. The vanilla which I got for the kids and parents was personally my least favorite. I could taste the flour or baking soda in it and it was dense like the others. I normally don't go with plain anything anyway but the kids seemed to enjoy it. Overall, there was a lot of variety and something for everyone. Love trying out new places and glad we were able to try Lizzy's treats!
