I visited Abbinto regularly for three months and happily left when my lash technician Stephanie moved on to Chill Out. I don't care for the decor, the cramped space or the overall vibe of this salon. Abbinito seems to cater to an older demographic. This is hard feedback, but it needs to be said: the owner of the salon isn't friendly - at least to people who aren't her clients, it seems. I was literally in the salon every week for fills and she would still ask me what I was doing there every time I walked in, coldly snapping "can I help you?" each time I walked through the door. This left me feeling awkward and unwelcome - after several weeks of repeat visits, it was odd, to say the least. She knew why I was there and who I was there to see. I got one pedicure there and while the service itself was delightful - thanks to Stephanie and her stellar customer service skills and talent - getting the pedicure in a plastic bucket was uncomfortable and strange. If Abbinito would invest in some redecorating and decent pedicure chairs, and the owner would work on her people skills, it might be worth a visit but I personally have no plans to return. If it weren't for my loyalty to my wonderful technician I would not have come back after the first few visits. read more

I asked if Receptionist & she didn't know. Just waiting for her friend. Could hear chatter behind closed doors. Still waiting...nothing. Why doesn't a salon (which states "by appointment only") wouldn't have someone to greet you? I wouldn't except the Technician to have to be interrupted in the middle of a session to greet clients! What about your "No Show" 25 minutes later? Seems to be a high-end salon too. The "Spa Pedicure" is merely a plastic tub. Yikes. Expensive - $80 way too much to pay. I won't be returning. I absolutely love this salon! I called last minute around 5pm for an appointment and Kelly actually stayed late just to get me in that same day! She was such a pleasure to chat with and super open and willing to answer all my questions. I've seen some complaints about the high price-- $65 for a full set of acrylics with tips, but in my opinion, the quality is worth it! You get what you pay for. She has this great policy of fixing any chips or accidental damage for free within two weeks, and is completely upfront about all aspects of her services. I'm looking forward to going back! Very sweet until you voice any dissatisfaction with quality of work. My shellac mani had a guarantee of repairs if it chipped in the first 14 days. When it peeled after 3 days I requested a repair appt. The receptionist took on a very agitated tone and told me that "obviously the system didn't work for me" so they would give me a" free removal". I calmly asked for a correction and did get an appointment. I arrived and received a 10 minute "talking to" and was accused of peeling the product off and told it must have been something I'd done. She offered me a buff or mani and at first refused to correct it. I really just wanted a refund at this point but sensed from her tone that this request would be refused. After I told her I wanted what I paid for corrected she agreed. At this point she began applying the polish without first filing, shaping, pushing back cuticles or doing anything at all to prepare my nails. When I asked why she told me that since this was not a usual repair and really a do over she wouldn't be doing anything but applying the polish. So, she left my nails uneven, some jagged and applied the polish so far from my cuticle it looks as if I have two weeks of grow out. She did a really bad job knowingly because she didn't want to do the mani. Beware. read more
