All the other nail technicians are amazing and do pretty good work, only have ever gotten terrible work from the owner Lee... not very surprising by the way she tries to rush everything and get it done fast and not do quality work, never does a good job and is very cold and rude to customers. My mom has went here for her haircuts so I thought it would be a good place for my grand daughter to get a set of hard gel nails. It says on their website $60.00 plus $2.00 for nail file and buffer. She did a beautiful job. Nails look lovely and my granddaughter was happy. Nice people, good vibes. The only problem is she charged me more than $20.00 over the price on their website. I really, really wanted to like this. From the beginning the whole "vibe" and tone was off. I get it, I came in about 12 min early but was absolutely prepared to wait. I felt like an imposition and tried to make polite conversation. She wanted nothing to do with me, or this $52.00 gel pedicure. As soon as she was told she could close up at 5 (roughly a half hour away) she basically decided she was finished. Little to no massage, didn't seem particularly clean, and seemed to blame me for cutting my own toe. Like girl, cmon you're in a tourist town in the service industry in the off season. I still left a 5.00 tip - cash. Now I'm curious if it's up to any kind of licensing standards because I really don't want an infection. Charging me full price? Total bummer. This place is really cute and clean, but the service is awful. The first time I went I got a hard gel fill from the owner, Lee. She was incredibly rushed and my nails ended up lumpy and uneven. I chose to give them another shot because I just needed a pedicure. The pedicure was horrible and the girl doing my nails was so unprofessional. She didn't start my service until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time....they clearly double booked or took a walk in too close to my appointment time. This is a dip manicure - if you don't know what that is it's basically acrylic without the tip. Perfect for people who want a manicure to last but don't care about the length. Overall I am extremely unhappy with this "manicure" and the service. Let's start with the fact that (without tip) this cost $52! Now let's start from the beginning... I arrive and go to chose a color but they don't have any of their colors available on a fake nail to actually see what the color looks like. This is not normal polish, this is dip so you're looking at powders which makes it even more difficult. I basically have to guess, and I chose a powder that looks like a nude pink (I pretty much only wear neutrals). As you can see from the picture it is hot Barbie pink. If that was it, who cares, big deal! But by the time she actually starts to dip my nails I'm pretty confident she has NEVER done this technique before. The way in which she did it left tons of powder on my nails (as you can see pictured) and ended up making them look very thick and lumpy. Also she literally dipped my finger into the container which caused all my fingers to be this bright Barbie pink - and this is not how the technique has been performed on me in the past. Also throughout the entire appointment, she is stopping to text and make calls on her personal phone. Like literally would just stop and start texting for like 3 minutes at a time without saying anything and just right in front of me. I'm just left there with my nails wet and half done staring into space.... So the worst part. The main reason I get manicures is not for the polish but the cuticle work. This "manicure" included ZERO cuticle work. She did nothing. She filed my nails, buffed them, then started dipping. She even made a comment about my cuticles looking painful (because one of them was cut) while she was filing. By the time she is "done" with everything it's already been an hour, which is a normal manicure time WITH cuticle work. But at this point I have to get back to work and don't have time to request and sit through her fixing up my cuticles (+ all her texting/calls). I took these pictures the second I got back to work after my appointment. It looks like a 6 year old gave me a manicure. There was a ton of pink all around my nail (she did not even attempt to touch up) and they are so thick, lumpy, and uneven. THEN the very next day the top coat starts peeling!!! It has now been 5 days and the top coat has peeled off of EVERY nail. They look absolutely horrible! I had been here twice before for a gel manicure and the service was questionable for the high cost. I will never come back here and I would not recommend this salon to anyone living or visiting Ashland. read more

First off very over priced. Went in to do nails for my first time she told us that that price would be 55 then at the end of the appointment said it was an extra 10 for gel and another ten for "art" I see no art, also very last minute addition to cost.. 75 all together, which would be pricy for actually decent nails. Was on her phone constantly during my appointment and left me just sitting there. My nails look absolutely terrible. I've never seen such a horrible job. They're lumpy horribly shaped and the "art" was just so poor.. I would've maybe been more accepting if the price wasn't through the roof but I honestly feel scammed and that is such a disappointment. When I told her I wanted a refund she quit literally gaslit me and said she did a good job and my opinion is unfortunate, that I couldn't get a better set anywhere else so it's my problem I don't like them. Also said she doesn't do refunds because she put her time and "effort" into these nails. She wasted my time and my money. The first three photos are the nails that she did and the last was the reference photo I gave her. I could've had a child do these for me and they would look better and at a better price. Two stars because this salon had great service until the owner ran the good workers out. It is straight up drama in this place and it sucks because it's the only place to get your nails done downtown. The last time I was in a couple months ago when we were in town the owner was saying awful things about and to the employees about not cleaning their stations and other petty crap. Then she complained to the customers how they are lazy and how she has to put up with them. I pay good money for services to relax and feel pampered, it was so unprofessional and made me uncomfortable to have to hear that drama. The way a person treats their employees says a lot about them. I called the other day to book and found out the only decent hairdresser is gone so I won't be bothering again. The one time I booked my nails with the owner I had to hear all about her personal problems, it was strange. Her work was mediocre. And my nails chipped within an hour! Look at the other reviews where people have left feedback and see how nasty and unprofessional her responses are, that will tell you everything you need to know. Too bad, this place has a lot of potential. Also the music SUCKS. Don't go in unless you want to be tortured with annoying Leprechaun folk music. Avoid. Next time we're in town I'm going to Medford. I will rarely if ever leave a negative review as I know how damaging it can be for a business. I am leaving this review to help you save your time and money. I don't want to go into much detail, but to some it up I was charged an exorbitant amount of money for what I would consider a basic manicure and pedicure (no gel polish or fancy paint job. Just classic with a paraffin dip). Also, less than a week later and my nails are already peeling. If you book online like I did, they will charge more than it says the total cost will be and not give you all of the services they say are included in the price. Now I know why they had so much availability and why no one was in the salon. It was so dead in the salon that the technicians were sitting in corners on their phones with nothing to do. It was so awkward. Major lesson learned. I will never return. read more

They gave me a free trial for both the week before, which is actually unheard of. The girls are so sweet and wonderful at what they do. I soaked for a good 15 minutes and decided to read a book because I was being ignored while she cloroxed everything. Finally, she came over, got on her phone, laughed at some internet joke for a few minutes and texted back the apparent joke sender, and then started in on my treatment. She was not present, not attentive, and actually cut my toe under the nail which is still painful 2 days out. We had some pleasant banter during the service. If Bob Seger is your idea of good spa music, well, you just might like it. At the end of the service, I presented the gift card which was for a higher end pedicure. Again, she was on her phone at check out, just oblivious and not attentive. I asked if the gift card covered everything (wondering if it was actually for more than the service I just received.) She said I was all set. Turns out, it was for nearly $20 more than the basic pedicure I just received. No mention of that until I double checked the website. The two nails that I got repaired weren't the same shape as when I went in with they were fat and even lumpier than they nails I got filled. Also it cost $55 for a shoddy job. I get my hair done here exclusively, Summur is an amazing stylist and always puts a lot of time into styling my hair after a cut, which is the perfect touch to a great haircut. I've also gone for pedicures on numerous occasions and received really great service and beautiful nail jobs from all of the employees here. The owner works here often and is always super friendly. I like this place because it's got a nice chill vibe, it's clean and no nasty smells. I don't let anyone touch my eyebrows. The only one allowed to touch them now is Stephanie. She makes me look goooooood! Sumner can actually do the curly hair thing too. I love these ladies!!
