Donuts and cookies were fabulous. It is a busy shop but the service is fast. I can't wait to be in the area and visit them again.

Great baked goods and pot pies. Always a good group. Easy to get to by car or ATV. Lunch or breakfast, picnic tables to eat in shade.

My sister in law stopped in and bought a variety of pastries to bring back to camp. They didn't last long as everything was delicious.

At first the place looked great - except for the lump of plants in a disarray -I'd remove them --…read moreand food seemed fine - some stuff. Wait staff flying thru and bringing dishes minutes after forcing parties to wait to eat. Winter time - icy parking lot - HUGE big truck at doorway - No handicapped was available. Decided to try again - again food straggles out - the prices went up as well - the salad they give for a $25 plate of food is served in a child kitchen dishes set - am I wrong?--- (also went up a $30) Smart TV playing all the magnificent journey the owner went on. Here is a poor town with many people desperately trying to make ends meet. 1. Most can't afford this prices- $30 -requires a real full dish salad - 2. Most people want to be able to enjoy all eateries, fairs, parades, festivals, ice cream stands, food stands instead of running to local bodega for a piece of beef jersey and a beer. 3. The ready made food is ok sometimes but I'd love to have a porterhouse and king crab legs too - and choose to order -- not just what is made for the day. We tried the burrito- they add potatoes- no one ever adds potatoes- and they won't take the out. White potato is inflammatory- can't eat it. Was hoping breakfast items had more Gluten free variety & dairy alternatives: goat milk - lots of goat farms around - all sell goat milk in supermarkets- I checked I think this area suffers enough and everyone should experience a meal in any eatery in Dover Foxcroft- You all represent businesses in the area and the communities people pay your bill(s). I'd love to see more accommodating prices - open every day so ALL MAINERS can find a seat at your establishment. MAke affordable meals as well as your expensive ones ---People should choose. DId you say cake? can you cut a real normal piece? this is not NYC- only place ever served so ski skimpy like yours ---was at Tavern on The Green--NYC Other things distracting- owners sitting with "special or favorite" Again- small town - Owners-Chef should greet and hear compliments from all patrons. All patrons should be able to give constructive criticism on what they are served. I can critique as we had a very successful restaurant and a grocery store. Being part of community- store owners have an obligation to uphold certain business ethics as they enrich the community and the community looks at you and how you handle your staff and your store. We hope to see and hear changes so all people who expressed the issues at your store can walk in and have dinner without breaking the bank or robbing money from Little Lucia's piggy bank. GOD BLESS Be the Example

The flavors were all great, and we ended up buying a dozen. We also got breakfast sandwiches the first visit, and they were top notch. The coffee? I love a good Mocha, and this spot pushed my former undefeated favorite out of its top spot. Really great blend of flavors, working together not overpowering each other. The inside is cute, with standard tables and chairs, with some more comfortable cushioned chairs. They had a corner with kids books, that my son absolutely loved and kept having us read to him. The staff were all very friendly, even though they were clearly busy. We went early, around 8/8:30 and had a short line. We drove past them later at 9:30ish and line was out the door. Go early!

Their Anadama bread was rich and flavorful, with a perfect crust and texture that kept me coming back for more, and the sourdough bagels were simply too good to pass up ; crisp outside, chewy inside, and full of character. Every bite feels like a celebration: flaky pastries, artisanal naturally leavened bread, and thoughtful flavor combinations that make it a true bakery destination. The coffee pairs beautifully with the baked goods -- and they even sell locally roasted coffee from a woman-owned roaster in nearby Greenwood, which adds a wonderful Maine-made touch to the experience. Service is warm and friendly, and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes you want to sit down with a latte and savor every last bite. If you ever find yourself in Bethel, this gem of a bakery is absolutely worth the trip -- it's one of those places that leaves you already planning your next visit.

Millburn Café - Skowhegan, ME 147 Madison Ave, Skowhegan, ME…read more Just opened this summer, Millburn Café is already making waves in Skowhegan with its bold, fresh takes on salads and sandwiches. Tucked inside a charming historic home, this cozy spot offers a modern lunch experience with a hometown feel. We started with the Apple Walnut Salad, which came packed with crisp greens, apple slices, shredded carrots, red onion, feta, and candied walnuts. Every bite was balanced and bright--classic flavors done right. Next up, the Hot Ham Sandwich delivered serious heat and flavor. Ham and bacon were layered with smoked gouda, pickled jalapeños, and drizzled with hot honey. It was messy, melty, and utterly satisfying--bring napkins and your appetite. The Chopped Italian Grinder--Maine's answer to an Italian sub--featured ham, Genoa salami, pepperoni, tomato, greens, provolone, and onion. It was overflowing with freshness and almost leaned salad more than sandwich, but still a flavorful and hearty pick. Food: 8/10 Ambiance: 8/10 (remodeled charm) Affordability: 7/10 (great portions for the price) A welcome addition to Skowhegan's food scene--worth the stop whether you're craving a crisp salad or a sandwich with a kick.

I visited for the first time recently and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience…read more We arrived around 6:00 PM and placed our order right away--two macaroni and cheese dishes and a soup. By 6:45 PM, our food still hadn't come out, and we had to ask for it to be packaged to go so we wouldn't miss a movie across the street. What made this especially frustrating was that there were only two other tables in the restaurant--one already had food, and the other was served while we were still waiting. Because of the delay, our food sat in the car during the movie. When we finally ate later that evening, both macaroni and cheese dishes were extremely disappointing--lacking flavor and ultimately inedible. I brought the soup home to try the next day, and it was just as disappointing. It was mostly potatoes, many of which were undercooked and still crunchy, and I even found what appeared to be a small piece of burnt wood in it. Overall, I spent about $80 on three items that were significantly delayed and very poor in quality. I will say, the ginger cookies were delicious--that was the one highlight. I did reach out privately to give the restaurant an opportunity to respond before posting this review, but did not receive a reply. Really unfortunate experience, especially for a first visit.
