Customer service. We had purchased about $900 in paint and they were very helpful. After our contractor left, we decided to check out their carpets. The male sales clerk was very helpful and explained padding and carpet that was pet friendly. We said that we were waiting until our painting finished before we make a decision. Next Wednesday they were they were finished and we went back to the carpet man we first met. Upon arrival, stated that talked to spoke to him last and we are ready to select our carpet. He abruptly cut us off by surely stating, "In don't remember ever talking to you. He didn't make as much as eye contact. He continued being rude when we said we are here to pick out our carpet. He stayed behind the counter and pointed to the carpet area. He then went back to his desk ignoring us completely. I convinced my husband that I had no intention of paying 10, 000 dollars when this guy is rude and insulting. We left, had a wonderful experience at OJ Thompson with a great sales person that took us around explaining all the carpet types, padding and other things to consider. The owner came in with the same friendly attitude. We enjoyed our experience and ordered our carpet from them. They are cheaper and well versed plus no to put customers first. read more

Terrible. We got new carpet in October of 2022. They sent a subcontractor out to do the job in 2 days, they finished it in one. We were surprised they didn't take the full amount of time to do the project, but hopefully they did good work, right? No, the work was horrendous. Very visible seams throughout every room and doorway, our brand new white carpet had brown spots all over it as the workers wore their *uncovered outdoor shoes* while installing and walking on it. I took photos and my husband sent a note to one of the owners. They asked what we wanted to do, we asked them to fix it (in hopes they'd re-lay some of the carpet. They sent out a tech that basically was trying to even out the spots where the carpet seams were with a small hand carpet roller, which didn't work at all since the carpet was laid so poorly. My husband took the word of this guy who said "it will wear better and the seams will disappear as time goes on". That never happened. A little over year out from install and the VERY expensive carpet we picked looks like trash. We are caring for it as we should be, but it is pilling, not wearing well, and the seams are even more prevalent. The brown spots mostly came out with a lot of elbow grease, which we should not have to do ourselves when the job cost over $16,000. They should have a warranty for their work because this is ridiculous. We were also offered a small discount for the inconvenience of having damaged and poorly laid carpet put down (a whopping $500) on the purchase price. We should have demanded to whole project be redone. Absolutely horrendous work, awful quality. I would not trust Abbott or any of the owners with ANY project moving forward. read more

Bad service, incompetent workmanship, shoddy work and extremely dishonest. willing to remedy the situation only to find more shoddy work! Obviously, have no respect for women's intellect and knowledge about how to do a job professionally! Even though I have done all of my paint shopping in the past at Abbott I decided to go to a big box store recently for paint and advice. Big mistake! When I went back to Abbott, not only did they give me advice, but they sent over an amazing consultant , Bayron, to help me figure out how to remedy the situation! When you walk into wallpaper department, you will most likely be treated by a guy who can't help you at all with wallpaper. You might also be told here that it was your mistake for being sold "too little" of wallpaper when they tell you how much you will need. Won't be returning. The prices here are also overpriced. I HIGHLY recommend Hirschfields. Not only is Hirschfields educated properly but they also don't over charge you. They helped me after Abbott did not. read more

Again, wishing for a 0 star rating. Here is an update: I discovered that my first rug did indeed had a stain, but the big "faded/stain" was really a shadow cast by my light. So I emailed them (their preferred method of contact), apologized and asked them to make the 2nd rug. Several days later I had to contact them to see if they had gotten my email and if they were making the rug. They were - thanks for not letting me know! So, given that the 1st rug had a few small stains that I was willing to live with, don't you think they would have looked t the remaining remnant? Yea, no. Don't think this company will do anything other than sell you stuff, that they lie about. So. A week later the rug is ready. I get it home, unroll it and there are lots of small dark stains all over it and some other light rains too. Great. Called, and frankly a week later the ineffective sale woman had nothing to really say. Pathetic! Oh, I also bought some paint at this sale. Not mis-tint, but paint that thy aren't carrying. Reputable brand and I asked the salesman how It compared to Benjamin Moore (my fav paint). Of course he said it was as good. Nope, it was crap. My painter had just painted 2 coats & you could still see through it. She called a different Abbott location and they told her it wasn't anywhere near the quality of Benjamin Moore. Thanks for lying Abbott in WBL. So, more hours and more paint later I now have a finished room. Told Abbott about the paint issue when I called about the second rug. Again the response was pathetic. DON'T SHOP HERE, ever!!!!! read more

As a long-time homeowner I used to buy the cheap paint. Recent experience has proven that mistaken. It's best to get the good stuff. I go only now to Abbott, where they have decades of experience AND they keep a record of what you have bought. Do you need to match a color and you can't find the old can? (Of course you can't.) If you got your paint at Abbott, the record is there. read more

Great informative service. Open Sundays 11-3p now. They accept returns of unused paint. They recycle paint & other materials now too. Full stock of painting supplies & anything you need to do it with. Pointed out where I could save with the paint purchase. Recommend! read more

This place is great. I much prefer going here to look at paint samples than a chain hardware store. The atmosphere is chill, but professional. They've always been super helpful--even calling me when some sample books of wallpaper I was looking for came back to the store so I could pick up. The folks at the counter are super friendly and knowledgeable. I really can't see going anywhere else for paint/design needs. read more

I'm embarrassed with myself for even stopping there. I was in the store about 5 minutes, and made it really clear I needed help, was told "I'll be right with you" as an employee walks by me with a customer in tow and yet when finished with them the guy started helping another customer that came in after me! Then he tells me again while helping her, "I'll be right with you" and the other employees didn't seem to care or notice that I was there needing help either. And I think, he can't say something to another employee or ask someone else to help me? He was the only one allowed on the floor to assist me? Very odd. There was not an excess of customers in there, I definitely did not receive the service I was expecting from a locally owned business. I will say when I walked in there, my first impression was good, that the store looked very appealing, well laid out, etc. But left feeling totally embarrassed and frustrated. read more
