I'm sad to have to leave this poor review but it is well justified. I'm from Rochester NY so I know about Abbott's. Abbott's is a cherished brand and treat in upstate NY. Here's what happened... I went there to have a "taste of home" after moving to Texas 2 yrs ago. Sad to say, this location is not anywhere near the quality of the original Abbott's locations in Rochester, NY. Ordered an ice cream birthday cake over phone the day before for pick up the next day. Cake was not ready at time I had picked and I was told to come later, horrible customer service, especially after having waited 10+ min for manager to greet me in the store ( I was the only customer). Very rude customer service, but the cake we received was horrible! It had no flavor at all and tastes NOTHING like an Abbott's ice cream cake should taste! This Abbott's should be ashamed of its ice cream quality! No chocolate crunch between levels of ice cream, poor quality flavorless ice cream. We will never go back there & would never recommend to anyone else. Poor customer service and even poorer ice cream quality! read more

We stayed right by this location and knew we would need to try it out at some point. So on the hottest day of our stay, we walked over here and it hit the spot! Everyone working in here was very nice and helpful as we were overwhelmed with choices. Everyone in our group got something different. I got the Heavenly Snickers sundae. WoW! I still think Andy's is better. I got chocolate custard with cookie dough and Oreo. The custard was thick and smooth but very mild in flavor. The cookie dough was dry. So it lacked flavor with dry toppings. My husband's waffle cone was a bit stale. Maybe we went on a funky day..I wouldn't be opposed to giving them a second chance, but the first impression was not as I had hoped. read more

Loved this quaint little ice cream shop! My hubsband I shared an old-fashioned banana split, and it was delish! They offer a gluten-free cherry sorbet, which I may try sometime. The only suggestion I would make is to turn up the A/c. After a few minutes, our ice cream was melting. read more

Launched just a month ago....friendly service and unique flavors that are changed daily. Texture of custard ice cream has the fluff of ice cream but the softness of frozen yogurt. I went to Abbott's yesterday morning at 1pm and goodness the manger alondra I think her name was... Was horrible flat out disrespectful I asked for a cookie chaos and it tasted like trash. I haven't been in like 5 months and I miss the old manager he was so nice to me always. Edit I looked at the other bad reviews and they all seem to be about the same person she takes her job for granted and should definitely be reevaluated and potentially let go! I really wanted to like this place, but it is absolutely nothing special. We ordered a single scoop of salty caramel custard with cookie dough and it was average at best. It had a very faint salty caramel taste so it may as well have been vanilla. We also had a double scoop of the chocolate and coffee flavor with hot fudge and pb cups. Again, the custard has very little flavor so I could barely tell the difference between the chocolate and the coffee. The hot fudge was definitely delicious, I will say that. But for those two items it was $23. That is absolutely absurd. I don't think we will be going back because of the price point alone. Andy's is better and half the price. read more

Excited to try this new place but was disappointed in their flavors. We got "almond joy" in a dish and vanilla in a cone. The cone was great and the vanilla fine. The almond joy brought zero joy - nothing but vanilla ice cream with a few flavorless mini chocolate chips and coconut thrown in. I was so disappointed and mad that we paid $12 for that! I thought almond joy was going to be some really unique creation but it was literally just those three things not even mixed that well together. Wish we had gone to Handel's instead. read more

We ordered the Chocolate, chocolate almond and vanilla, mix of sundaes, cones and mixes. The custard had a very creamy butter taste to it. Overall the flavors were hard to taste...As someone else said you have a hard tasting the other flavors besides vanilla. The hot fudge is great and mix options are very good, which is why I gave 3 instead of 2 stars. Overall disappointed because we had hope we were getting a quality custard place like what I grew up with in the Midwest.
