Abbot's gave us a full warranty on the vacuum and we got the used vacuum repaired with a new motor at no cost to us. I came in a few months back to have our vacuum repaired. Turns out I just needed new filters. The owner didn't want to charge me for the labor but I insisted. While I was there I picked up carpet powder for pet oder control. I love using Baking soda. Not good for the vacuum. Odor Control Solutions works great and I love it. Most rude woman I have ever encountered. First treated rudely because I had a mask on. Second treated rude when I stated I needed a belt for my vacuum. I told her what brand ect after she got nasty because she couldn't "hear me with my mask on". She then said we don't sell parts for Shark due to the manufacturer. This could have been stated nicely. So sorry to interrupt whatever you were doing in the back while I stood out from 10 minutes. This store was recommended by Mel's Vacuum in Nampa. Sure miss his stellar customer service. Bought a new Riccar vacuum here (never heard of the brand before) about 4 yrs ago. Best vacuum I've ever had (I'm 70, so I've had a few!). Great suction (dog hair!!), not too loud, and lighter than any others; my last one, a nice, pretty Kenmore, was so heavy I ended up not vacuuming as often as needed. This one is a pleasure to use. Bonus: in my favorite color--purple! I read a review on Facebook from June 2021 by someone complaining about the lady being rude about her (the customer) wearing a mask. My guess is, since these folks are religious (based on signs in the store), the lady might be anti-vax and anti-mask. Still no reason to be rude to a customer. read more

Called yesterday, wow a real person answered the phone.... nice! I stopped in today, I was looking for a really good vacuum and I wasn't disappointed! So many to choose from, excellent service, all my questions were answered, even received some useful information on vacuum cleaners, I felt right at home! He is so knowledgeable and thorough. He fine-tuned her vacuum and restored it to a brand new condition. I am so glad I found these guys!! I bought a used Kirby from an estate sale for an amazing price. It kept burning through belts and I couldn't figure out why. I walked in with the "nose" of the Kirby and he had the problem fixed in less than 10 minutes. I have been using it all day today with zero issues, and it picks up MUCH better than it did before. I also wanted to mention that they have a product called "Odor Control Solutions - for the love of pets". I was skeptical because I have a ton of failed carpet chemicals under my sink, but this stuff is amazing. I thought it was a gimmick, but it actually works! I am vaccuming and shampooing today, only about 1/2 way done, and we are already breathing better. Super happy. read more

I have a German Shepherd, they shed.....24hrs a day. I discussed my concerns and bought the Riccar Supralite with the lifetime belt. I vacummed the entire house today. Bremen (the german shepherd) stays, as the Riccar did what all the bagless vacuumes could not. Absoultley fantatstic. Unbelievable results. read more

My vacuum just stopped working one day so I brought it to Abbotts & they informed me it was still under warranty. Turns out I sucked up a large screw that got lodged in the motor & the whole motor needed replacing! I had my vacuum back in 4 days. I small felt mouse accidentally got sucked up and stuck near the vacuum hose handle. I went to Abbott's after reading their great reviews and was not disappointed. After Fisher's went out of business, I was worried about finding a good repair shop. I really like the two vacuums that I have and would prefer to keep them running instead of buying new. I have to say, Perry Abbott is the best. He's a creative problem solver and a perfectionist. He also has acquired the stock of other vacuum repair shops that have closed and there's a good chance he has your part. If not, he'll figure out a creative solution. He's been repairing vacuums for over 30 years and I was lucky to have benefitted from all that experience. Bonus: Perry and his wife are both friendly, easy people to be around. read more
