I purchased a used Whirlpool refrigerator, which did not cool correctly, so I returned it to have it worked on. I repeated this on 3 different occasions and still had problems. They gave me a loner frig which worked fine, so I called and decided to keep that unit which worked for about a month and then gave us trouble and continued to get worse. I decided not to notify them further as it seemed obvious they never really worked on either unit. I would not recommend this business for anything as they do not actually do anything to repair an appliance. A little spray paint and this and that to make it look like they did something, but they do not repair just take your money and then disrespect you by making you think they know what they are doing. I think permanently closing their doors would be the right thing to do. read more

I contacted Abby Appliances to repair a Samsung drier that was no longer heating. A technician came out the next day to evaluate the problem, and determined we needed a new heating element. I authorized the work, and the repair was made the following day. The repair came with a 30 day guarantee. Approximately 3 weeks later, the drier stopped heating again. I notified Raj, the owner, and another technician came out to replace a fuse on the heating element. Raj advised he wouldn't warranty any additional repairs unless I had someone come out and clean the drier vents. I hired another AC company to do so. They ran a video camera through the entire duct system and found zero blockage, but I had it cleaned nonetheless. A few days later, it stopped heating . I spoke to Raj again, and he advised it was probably a bad circuit board in the drier, and there would be an additional charge to repair it. He also commented that he wasn't going to make any money on this job. He said he would call me back with prices. Four days passed, and although I left 3 messages with the store, Raj never called. It was necessary for me to contact another appliance repair company. They replaced the heating coil and fuse in the heating element installed by Abby. Two days later it failed again. They came back out and ascertained that the heating element itself must be defective. They ordered and installed a new one, and everything is now working properly. I called and left another message for Abby's owner, Raj, asking him to contact me regarding indemnification for the faulty heating element he installed, and to suggest he, in turn, return the faulty unit (which I saved) to the manufacturer for reimbursement. It has been over a week, and I still have had no correspondence from anyone at Abby Appliances. read more

Called for a repair on a refrigerator that stopped cooling at 2 pm. The technician said he would be there same day. And then.... 3 4 5 6 no technician. Called and no answer. Left message no return call. I set up appt with someone else and had refrigerator repaired. Then these guys show up at my house the next day with no call, no apology upset because I did not need the service anymore. I tried Abby Appliance for the first time and had them go to my rental property to diagnose an oven that stopped working. They told me the mother board was fried and the repair was going to cost over $300 to fix. I said no since new ones aren't much more. I went on the website to trouble shoot the issue and found that the part I most likely needed was $5.33. I ordered the part and when it came in I installed the part and lo and behold the stove worked. Needless to say I will not use Abby again! read more

Bad customer service. Only concern for their money not yours. They will not answer your calls after you complain. I had to call from a different number to get my call finally answered. No concern for the customer. Only resolution offered was to come fix what I originally asked for but at a cost. He offered no other resolution because he said he works hard for his money. When I said I worked hard for my money too he didn't care. I called them out and agreed to pay the service fee to diagnose my issue with my dryer leaving stains. They said it was not what I thought it was but it was another part. I kept asking why it was not the part that I thought it was and they said it is because the part I wanted to get replaced can't be replaced. (But it can and has been with another company). When they came to fix it they showed up one day without scheduling an appointment, and I just happened to be here. After paying more than $250 the stains still appeared. I called to speak with a manager and my call was never transferred past reception and they ignored it. It took 3 calls and a 5 days to get a hold of a manager... because after the first call to complain my number would go directly to voicemail- I ended up having to call from another number to reach someone. When I finally got a hold of a manager his solution was to come fix what I originally asked for but for a cost. read more

DO NOT USE! Had them out to fix a part that was causing rust color in clothing in a dryer. We told them what part it was because it was the only thing in the dryer discolored. They said that it wasn't that part because they are not able to even fix the part we pointed out. The made a different $300 fix. Problem still was happening. I've used Abby twice. The first time they came to the house and diagnosed the problem with my dryer in about 30 minutes. They ordered a part and told me when it would be delivered. It was delivered on time and they fixed my dryer as promised on time with no problems. The second time I took a different dryer to them because it made a clunking noise. The tech came to my car as we unloaded the dryer. He asked me the problem. I told him and he turned the drum a couple of times. He then told me he could fix it there in the parking lot. He took off one of the internal "fins" and dumped out a quarter that was stuck inside the "fin". It was fixed and I was gone in 30 minutes. What more could I ask from an appliance repair business? read more

When we first moved here, we needed a refrigerator. We went by a few spots but ultimately chose here. Not happy! Our fridge stopped cooling and they came out and "fixed" it. It wasn't. They came out a second time and fixed it to where it was working a little better. Then it quit again and they "fixed it again. Then a month later the freezer stopped working. Went in, asked for a different fridge. They said they would fix it. They didn't. Then I called them again because it was frosting over. They said they would fix it. Nope, needed a part and we waited two weeks with no communication to hear from them. Went in again and they said they'd replace that fridge. I picked another that was similar, different brand. It also stopped working within a month. We called them, they said they would fix it but we were done losing groceries over and over again, we just bought a new fridge from Sears. 4/18/19 called this company for help completing installation of dryer I purchased a year ago from Lowes. They wasted 24 hrs of my life to just get a $65 service charge. Sent an inexperienced technician who looked, called boss for advice, said go ahead & buy equipment to finish job, call asap so I can get help to stack dryer onto washer (that was installed & in place), will put brackets back on back. "It will be $185 to complete job, I'll need you to write check for $65 for this service call & will get back this afternoon. Called probably 6 more times, for receptionist to talk to boss, then call Mr. Tony, technician, to set up time to come back with help, every stall tactic to waste my time. Finally around 3:00 pm, after waiting 24 hrs, I was then told that we can't do this. What a run around!! If you need help call anyone else. Not a good company to do business with!! We called on a Saturday for a repair on our dryer. I was thrilled that they were able to come out in 20 minutes because they were in the area. When they got there they said they needed to order the part and would be out Monday afternoon to fix it. So I waited Monday afternoon...NO SHOW. So I called and they said Tuesday afternoon.....NO SHOW. So I called and they said Wednesday afternoon. I said no Wednesday morning or you can forget it. We called Wednesday morning to confirm and they said they would be here at 10...They arrived at 11:30. When they finally arrive a middle eastern man SLOWLY walks to my door and acts like he has no idea what he is doing. Then a older man comes in asking to my use restroom. I had another repair person here fixing my shower at the time. I told him that it was being worked on. HE looked at me like I was lying. I did not feel comfortable with them being in my house nor letting them walk around my house. The other repair man got done with the shower and the older man kept asking to use my restroom. I honestly believe that if you a repair person to use the restroom BEFORE you get to someone's house. So I finally let him use it because I was afraid I would be cleaning up pee in my laundry room. He went to the restroom and came back and was complaining about how difficult it is to fix my dryer. Then the middle eastern man wonders out of the laundry room and walks right into MY bedroom and uses my bathroom. He did not ask to use it and I definitely would not have allowed him into my bathroom thru MY bedroom. Then pees all over my toilet. Nasty & disrespectful people!!! They even left the trash and old parts for me to throw away. I did not feel comfortable with these men in my house and basically wondering all over my house. I called again and the technician answered he said he was not coming by today. While i was out of town our refrigerator and washer stopped working. My wife was recommended by a neighbor to call Abby's to get them fixed. They fixed the fridge and it worked after repair. When they said they "fixed" the washer they said that it needed a new motor and it would be $300. They "fixed" it and brought it back to our house. When my wife went to go do clothes the washer STILL DIDN'T WORK. They obviously didn't test it. She then called them and they said that they didn't install all of the parts they ordered because they wanted to try several steps to fixing the washer. So basically they charged us for all the parts, but didn't install all of them...that is called STEALING!!! They then took the washer back and said that it would be an additional $150 to fix the original problem. They brought the washer back and it had several large scratches and dents on it. This washer was only 4 years old. It now works after $450 dollars of mostly unnecessary repair I am sure and looks much older because of all the cosmetic damage that was done to it. NEVER EVER USE THESE GUYS! They are out for your money and are not good business men. read more
