Usually good food and service with politeness, and smiles. Last week wife and 4 others stopped in for dinner. My wife and I liked going there even though it's 6 miles from us. As usual the service and food was good. One in our party questioned the price of something on the receipt. Right away the server became indignant. This was over 1.99 mind you. Anyway, I was told she was part owner, seemed odd that she would react in such a rude manner. Then when we were leaving at the door, she sarcastically calls from behind counter. So all could hear, and I quote"Hope you have a better night". So she probably cost her business 6 customers. Not good for 1.99! read more

Stopped here once again for lunch, on our annual Thanksgiving pilgrimage to Idyllwild. As always, the place is as clean and neat as a pin, the food is excellent, the wait staff are the friendliest people in the world. Very good Reuben sandwiches and hamburgers. This is my go-to place when I'm anywhere around Hemet. If you haven't been here yet, try it. You won't be sorry. read more

1st time visit with 6 adults for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We went at 10:30 am so the big rush was over and we were seated immediately. Nice choice of breakfast items. Cooked and delivered as ordered with good attention to our coffee levels throughout our breakfast. Servers all had smiles and were attentive throughout the restaurant. Go regularly and consistently and get great service with good tasting food and it comes out hot. Currently they have several new items on the menu. One item for breakfast that I have trouble finding is cinnamon roll french toast and they now have it. Also I am a strawberry fan and you can get the cinnamon roll with strawberries and whip cream and both of these are nice size helpings compared to other places that seem to want to see how small a portion they can get away with for strawberries and whip cream. Also for dinner (may have for lunch but do not know) have a turkey dinner. Nice size portion (never went away without being stuffed) and great. Mashed potatoes taste real and not out of a box or can and then remade. read more

I eat here pretty often with the family. The food is pretty good and the prices are fair. The staff is friendly too. Try the corned beef hash breakfast or chicken club. On a side note, they have a bunch of cool historical pictures of old Hemet hanging on the walls. read more

We had been going here for breakfast almost two years - until early last year. Never had a problem - until we stopped in for dinner one evening. I ordered the roast beef au jus. First bite tasted "off". Thinking it was all in my head I ate a few more bites. I became nauseous. I will leave the rest unsaid. My husband paid for the meal while I waited out front by the trash can. I was too embarrassed to make an issue of it at the time. We have not been back. No - this is not a ploy to get a free meal- a second chance is out of the question. I figure the beef had been left out for a long period of time. Great breakfast! I've seen this place for a while but never thought of giving it a try. But, this morning I checked Yelp for a good breakfast place nearby and Abby's had great reviews so we gave it a shot. Super glad we did. Service was quick and very friendly. Coffee refills without having to ask. The ham with my ham and eggs was AMAZING!!! My daughter's pancakes were wonderful. I haven't had the lunch or dinner but I definitely will be back to try them! So on my way out to a doctor's appointment at Soboba I was looking for something to eat ran down to the end of the Ramona Expressway and saw the first shopping center I had seen the whole way there but okay maybe there's some fast food here didn't expect to find anything great I couldn't have been more wrong. Abby's Cafe might not be in the most happening strip and SoCal but they do have the best hash the best service and the nicest folks you could ask for. I sat at the counter because was alone and not a single time passed that when a waitress or server came by did they not smile and greet me the service was fast and the breakfast was amazing they had country potatoes with veggies in them cooked to perfection and again I cannot State how good the past was. Not sure if this is a chain or owned by single person but whoever runs this place knows how to country breakfast eggs over easy or exactly what you get white toast with cream butter on it amazing totally recommend this place to anybody and it is worth going out of your way to get there read more

I was referred to this cafe by a friend of mine who used to live in the area and I was certainly not disappointed!! It was evident that Abbys is a close knit family oriented restaurant by the staff interactions with what was clearly their regulars. People would come in the door and be greeted by name (if not by name still greeted right away), seated and helped within 5 minutes at the most. I don't think you can find better customer service anywhere else. My drink never gets the chance to be empty, the server always refills it & my food is always hot and delicious.
