The first time, I had a coolant leak and the mechanic actually SHOWED me where it was leaking. Actually seeing the problem with my own eyes when the car was on the lift immediately made me feel that they can be trusted. They fixed that problem, did some other overdue maintenance work, and the car's been running much better now, zero problems. The only minor problem I had was that I asked for the parts to be returned to me, and they weren't. That really wasn't a big deal since my driveway isn't full of coolant spots any more. I thought the price for this repair was entirely fair. The second time was a problem that couldn't be duplicated when I was driving it while the tech was in the car with me. Ah well... They didn't charge me for that visit. The most recent visit was exceptional. I managed to get the end of a gas funnel stuck in the neck of my gas tank. This caused all kinds of problems when I'd fill up with gas at Kwik Trip. I tried to fish it out myself, but couldn't. I brought it to the dealership, and they told me they couldn't see it or get it out after allegedly scoping it out. The dealership charged me for that visit. I know they have bills to pay, so I was OK with that. On a whim, I brought it to the new Meineke (formerly Pope Autoworx). I told them what happened and that I wanted them to try to get it out, but I'd pay for an hour of time, no matter what. I told them that I wanted to save the part so I could see it. Well... THEY GOT IT OUT!!!!! The dedication, time and effort that they showed me in actually FIXING this problem impressed the hell out of me. I do my own oil changes and brake jobs, but for nearly everything else, this Meineke garage will be my first call.

This time I needed a new tire for one that had sidewall damage. It's a special tire, but they were able to locate one and have it delivered and installed in a couple of days. When picking it up, I was running late and they said, "No worries, we'll be around a little longer -- stop by as soon as you can." I really appreciate their focus on the customer, setting realistic expectations, and getting the work done as promised. I've only had them do tire work, but I'm considering using them for other repairs.

They gave me a quote, but could not do the work that day. I called a few garages I've used in the past and Lincoln Auto Service, which was a new repair shop I learned about earlier this year. Lincoln Auto Service won the job. I drove past it on the day of my appointment, even though I had the address because I didn't see their sign above the garage door and didn't know they shared the building with the gas station. Now you know, too. While I waited, I walked around the neighborhood and had lunch at the gyro stand across the street. There is also a bar next door, if you prefer to wait there. The work was completed a half hour earlier than quoted, and they saved me $150-$200 compared to the other quotes I received. It's been a few months, and I've had no issues or concerns. I'll be using Lincoln Auto Service and Tires for any of their other services that my car needs, and I recommend them!

But when it was time to pay, the total was about $200 more than Costco. Then I was told, "I thought I told you that was just the tire price." That felt very misleading. If I'm bringing my car to you for tires, obviously I'm expecting them to be installed--not taking the tires home to install myself. Even worse, when I picked up my car, I found a large gouge and other damage on the rim. I brought it to the owner, Jeff, but he denied responsibility. My advice: take clear before-and-after photos of your wheels and vehicle before leaving your car here. I'm extremely disappointed with both the communication and how the damage was handled.

But they were all either too busy or didn't have the matching tire in stock. Finally, I called this Midas in West Allis, and the technician told me to bring the car over. When I arrived about 20 minutes later, they were waiting for me. They quickly checked the tire to confirm its specs, and they had the new tire installed within an hour. I was so impressed with their attentive customer service that I went ahead and did an oil change there too and canceled my appointment at my regular Midas. The shop was busy. There were many other customers there. I could tell a lot of them are regulars, and I can see why. This place does good work at a fair price, and they genuinely care about their customers. I made an appointment online for a tire patch and came in 5mins before my appointment. As soon as we walked in the door the man didn't greet us but was mad. Then once we told him our issue and we made an appointment he got angry that we did it online. I guess your online system is garbage and doesn't give accurate scheduling. Then after he got the car in and patched the tire proceeded to tell us more thing that we're wrong with other tires. Which mind you my husband is a mechanic so he looked over the car before we left because he knew what happens at such shops. We tell him to just fix the one tire and will be on our way. He gets it done after another short lecture about where we should park next time we're in. Mind you there's 3 parking spots outside that we're all full. We were happy and paid and went on our way. Within 20mins the tire sensor monitor went back on and was saying flat tire. I then turned around and came all the way back already not ready to deal with this man. I walk in and he instantly is rolling his eyes. I tell him it's still flat and he gives me this whole speech about the bays being full and not being able to get to it right away. I told him i drove here so i guess i'll have to wait. I nicely asked if there's any warranty seeing as i just left and it's still flat.
