I moved out of state, but had a horrible problem. The skid plate on my car came loose and it was dragging down the freeway for 2 hours getting more damaged. I dropped it off on a Sunday night and put my keys in a note in the slot and got a text within 15 minutes of the store opening Monday that they managed to fix my problem. This was the closest place to me for the eternally annoying emissions test that isn't saving the planet and more of an inconvenience. I had some repairs done to my car the the day of getting the dreaded letter for renewal and not knowing that the computer has to drive for a while for systems to pass tests I was failed the next day and they were very nice to me with a failed test report with some educational materials for a return visit. A week later they were still very nice to me after wasting their time even though I didn't have my repairs done with them, weird coincidence and worlds colliding. Went here for oil change and maintenance the only reason it's not 5 stars is they always super busy. Not a bad thing for them but hard to make appointments sometimes. Came here for my emissions test based on a recommendation. They were fast and professional. Emissions tests are offered M-F, 7am-3pm (they break for lunch from 12pm-1pm). They conduct the tests outside so weather has to be ok to complete the test. Don't forget your DMV paper work! read more

I was told there was a part of suspension that needed repair, then also all 4 brakes needed replacement. They charged and extra $79 to look at the car, and extra $79 for alignment. I was told that anytime they look at the car they will charge $79. The total for this was over $1600.... Though the repair may be ok, (not sure yet, we will see) brakes have been beginning to squeal. Quite frankly, I won't pay the extra $79 every time I take my car in if it has an issue. Most places if they have a charge, if you get the repair there, that charge is dropped. Disappointed in that ...probably won't go back unless i have to have the brakes looked at again for the squealing. They are supposed to be on warranty, but if they charge the $79 again, I will be really ticked. read more

Costco Auto Member Program - Preferred Shop Before I get into my first and only experience at REIS Auto (Hales Corners), I found this shop through the Costco Auto Member Program. I punched in my zip code and there were only (2) shops listed and REIS Auto had the best customer reviews so I went with REIS. I called on a Friday afternoon and the woman that answered the phone was extremely friendly so immediately felt comfortable with this shop. She gave me a quote and booked me for a Monday appointment. One of the perks of booking through this shop was they opened at 0700 during the week, which is another reason I like this location. I can always do some work in the am on the laptop, but getting it done during the week, first thing in the morning was the big seller for me. Showed up to get my oil changed at 0700 and my Jeep was on the rack within 10 minutes. They unlock the doors at 7 and their techs are ready to go for the day. The gentleman at the counter (didn't catch his name but was Mon 7/22) was really nice guy, got me set-up with the WiFi while I waited for what I thought would be at least an 1-1.5 hours but they were done in 40 min. I purchased my Jeep used last summer and this was my first time my oil change came due so I asked them to look over everything as outside the dealership it's never really been looked over. They topped off the fluids and I asked them to rotate the tires, which they were more than happy to do. With the Costco program, members get 15% off, but does not include oil change, which makes sense to me. I was going to put it towards the tire rotation, but he said it's all part of the oil change I was quoted so that was great! I even inquired about my brakes, tires, etc. and there was zero hesitation from them. They were like, nope you're good to go for awhile give her another 20-30K and we will take a look then. That's a good way to do business and if I do have a future need, I'm going here. One thing I want to point out as a Costco Preferred Shop (as to be fair that's how I found them) is that it is not cheap for a shop to be certified as Costco Preferred and Costco is not shy about ensuring their members fill out surveys and collect feedback from their members to ensure the shop can advertise under their name. Costco has no issues removing a shop due to member feedback and fact this shop puts in the time, money and resources to stay with the Costco program, speaks to the reputation they have already established in Milwaukee and by my experience they will be on this loyalty program for a long time coming. FINALLY! An HONEST repair shop. Hallelujah. We took our car to be looked at because it was having electrical problems. We had previously taken it to a dealership to be worked on since they are supposed to cover and repair these types of things... but they completely messed it up TWICE. Not naming names.. *cough AllStar Honda cough*.. Decided enough was enough and took it to REIS to see if they could help us. They were so willing to take a look and try to fix the other guys problem. They were open and honest with us from the beginning about what it might be and what they would be able to do to help us out. They called us back letting us know that they took a look and were able to find the faulty repair job from before and gave us a way to fix it. Unfortunately, the issue required a specific part that needed to be fixed directly at a dealership, so they couldn't help us right away. They laid out exactly what the problem was and how to repair it, and guys, they didn't charge us AT ALL. These guys look at our car for hours to find the solution and didn't charge us because they couldn't fix it. I have never felt so comfortable with a repair shop as I did with them. They claim they are just there to help and be real with us, and they completely delivered. As a person who knows nothing about cars, it's so comforting knowing that I have found a place that will truly help me instead of scamming me. read more

------------------- GO SOMEWHERE ELSE-------------------- I showed up to have burnt out headlights replaced. Employee behind the counter was frustrated I came close to closing time. They swapped my bulbs, but now the headlights don't illuminate the middle of the road, light just flares up the sides of the street. I came right back in as I couldn't see the road infront of my carhood - the guy literally told me it wasn't his problem and asked what I wanted him to do about it. I've never been treated as poorly at a shop like that. Wasted my money here, will not return again. I hope this review saves someone else from giving them business they do not deserve. read more

The staff is nice, prices are decent, I don't leave with new issues, and don't feel like they're trying to upsell me on anything. Called around 10am to see if I could get in for an oil change in between work appointments. They had a time that fit my schedule perfectly. After the oil change, the car wouldn't start so the battery was tested and needed replacement. This was the original factory battery after 93k miles/3 years so not too surprising. Super clean shop and comfortable waiting area, nice folks. The price of a synthetic oil change, wiper blade, new battery were all very reasonable and they got me back on the road quickly. ***DO NOT GO HERE*** If I could give a -10, I would...but the lowest I can score is 1 star. My 20 year old daughter brought her car there because of a very occasional slip in the transmission when the car is cold. They obviously saw her coming because they wanted to charge her $2700 for brakes, calipers, tie rods, control arm, and a transmission...among other things. They charged her $40 for diagnosis, but did not diagnose the original problem. We took the car to a different mechanic and surprise! Not nearly that expensive. A bottle of sea foam will fix the issue that THESE guys couldn't diagnose... no need to replace the transmission. Calipers are fine. Control arm can be fixed with a $20 part versus a couple hundred that Reis wanted. All in all, they wanted $2700 for a job that we paid $200 for. These people take advantage of others and prey on those who don't know any better. They are crooks and give good mechanics a bad name. read more

By far the best! They can do so much more than an oil change!! I first went to them months ago because I had a headlight out and they fixed it just about on the spot! Very reasonably priced! Too! :) Today I needed oil change.. so I stopped in. Normally you need an appointment but they were able to squeeze me in (thank goodness because my truck sounded terrible it was overdue). I replaced a few other things that needed replacing and all was good! Definitely the best service and the nicest people working there!
