I called him because I live in Novi, my car is down, and I need a ride to Henry Ford hospital Thursday morning. I called him to find out if he could do it, and he told me that he doesn't make local runs. If he doesn't do local runs, then he should not say that he's a Novi/Bloomfield cab or taxi service. That would be false advertising. I regard that as unprofessional. If he no longer does local runs, then he should state that he does not do local runs.

The sedan and van that I rode in (both to and from my hotel) were comfortable, and both Fred and Mark were excellent drivers. So pleasant, showing the true midwesterner charm and chivalry. Metro Car estimate just to arrive at our Livonia Office was 1 hour. Called ABC...Nice Dispatcher...car arrived in 15 minutes the first time. This time they already knew who I was and they were at our office in 10 minutes. Being a nice size corporation I am not concern about cost so I am not sure of ABC's rates. (Screen shots). Driver was 0.25 away from me on the other side of 16 Mile Road. It took me 5 mins to figure out where he was and get him to my place. The driver blamed the Uber GPS. I would be fine with him being a tiny bit late. I WOULD have given 5 stars because the drive was great. Uber cut it's throat with this BS charge. I wasn't hammered at the bar and lost track of time. I stood 5 mins before the pick up time outside my home. I wanted this to be hassle free. Obviously it's not. I will use the business address next door to me next time, and walk over there. I don't own a car, and was hoping this would be less aggravation that the bus or cab. Slightly better. ETA: Uber in under 4 hours adjusted my bill, and took off the time penalty. Back to 5 stars.
