While they are local and not too far from me, I'd have them shipped my orders to me with free shipping $100+, and they also give away or make it easy to acquire generous promo coupons. Artist Julie Nutting has released a lot of signature doll poses per line that she releases per year, that I've come to like and be able to use- which makes the free shipping offer and coupon offer a good deal. I'd pre-order and pay the discount bundle rate. They have a spreadsheet system that keeps the pre-order / in-stock orders all organized to be sure to ship everything in a timely manner without messing up the orders. They ship in a box as per customer request and enclose a printed receipt for pre-order and in-stock shipments, to show that they and the customers are in-tune with the orders going out and coming in. All of my orders so far have arrived undamaged in every way. In my last order, I noticed that I didn't have the (in-stock) stamp that go with the die I purchased that I thought I had, so when I quickly e-mailed them to request to merge the pre-order and in-stock orders to include the stamp instead of placing a new order, they told me they could do that. I let them know that I was willing to wait for the in-stock stamp to arrive at the same time as pre-order at a later date, if I wanted to include the revised order w/in the free shipping and not pay extra to ship the stamp (which I would've gotten much sooner). So, I am appreciative that they and I were in cohesion, since I'd read some businesses don't merge and ironically often tell customers who left out something to place another order and pay extra. At the end of each order, they offer Reward points based on your totals. They also hold an annual Warehouse Sale at their physical warehouse. Note: They are not a store to browse/shop in but rather, a "warehouse" where customers show up during the open hours to pick up their orders. And, they also have pickups at their Scottsdale meetups. So, if your orders are large, free shipping is feasible, right? I have done business with a wide variety of suppliers and Reynolds is now my top choice for materials. They just know their stuff when it comes to making something. With casting materials and mold materials there are so many choices from so many suppliers it can be a challenge at times to find the right path to get the results you want. Laurie at Reynolds in Tempe just has it down where the guess work is at a real minimum. Not every project or job is a 1,2,3, to finish operation, so anything that takes out the error and saves you money is a bonus in my book and Reynolds does just that. Oh yeah, be ready to gawk for a while if you're a creator, because your choices and tools available at Reynolds far exceeds many of the suppliers I used while working in Hollywood.

I think she calls it as she sees it without sugar coating her instructions). My husband learns by making mistakes and figuring out what works. He wasn't given the freedom to do that in these 45 min working sessions. So, overall my experience was OK. His experience was not good. So, I cannot recommend Desert Dragon, based on our personal experiences. But I found it was a good intro to pottery and the wheel.

I required no instructional assistance whatsoever -- merely the supplies necessary to complete routine maintenance myself. Upon arrival, I was directed to the service department to obtain the correct belt size. I brought my machine along specifically to streamline this process, since the original belt had stretched considerably. A female employee attempted to determine the appropriate size between two options but was unable to reach a conclusion, despite removing my belt for comparison. She subsequently enlisted a male colleague, who tested both sizes directly on my machine -- a task requiring minimal expertise and no specialized training. Only after determining the correct size did this employee inform me that a $25 service charge applied -- a fee neither he nor his colleague had disclosed beforehand. Had I been informed in advance, I would have simply purchased both candidate belts, tested them at home, and returned the incorrect one -- avoiding the charge entirely. While the establishment does post signage indicating a $25 hourly rate (with a $25 minimum) for servicing, I never requested a service; I sought only to purchase merchandise. Compounding matters, the store keeps all sewing machine components locked behind the counter, entirely inaccessible to customers, effectively compelling patrons to rely on staff assistance -- assistance that then incurs an undisclosed fee. I left feeling deceived and taken advantage of by a business practice that appears deliberately structured to manufacture billable interactions. I strongly encourage prospective customers to clarify all potential charges before allowing staff to handle their equipment.
