I understand recommending and offering, but forcing patients to pay for hundreds of dollars of services they do not want is unethical. My first appointment I just believed them that I really needed it and paid (I often put off stuff for myself), but my entire family just so happens to also need all this expensive additional service and no option to choose a standard cleaning. I recently relocated from the Washington DC area to NE TN, in looking for a DDS I went to the LVI web site to see who they recommend. (LVI is a very well esteemed continuing education program for dentists who are very motivated to be the best in what they do including hands on cosmetic training. (This is special because most counting education courses are lectures only)) Dr. Dykes met all my expectations for quality work that was very cosmetically attractive. She had another tooth infection while we were waiting for a procedure, and they were able to see her the same day. The staff is friendly. Their scheduler Vickie is so sweet and was able to bump us up twice on the cancelation list for her procedure. The only thing I don't like is that there is no after-hours or on call line for questions, but that's more of a luxury than a requirement.
