So I visited this location today to shop and do a secret shopper audit. Had some conversation with the employees who were courteous and helpful I was there for about 20 minutes documenting and considering buying some different products. As I was finishing up I was approached by one of the employees (who I assumed was the manager) .He asked me what I was doing (which I thought was pretty obvious). I told him I was just documenting some product Then he began to tell me that it wasn't cool. So I finished up, purchased a couple of small items and left. So I understand why these companies don't encourage secret shopper audits but it really is ridiculous. This is a well established company that's been in business since 1936. Are they really worried that some little guy or the competition is going to copy the way they put liquor on the shelves ? Meanwhile, I lose an opportunity to make some money and ABC possibly loses a customer. read more

Complete ripoff. Never again. My girlfriend went to the store seeking Port, which is a very stong (about 18-19% ABV) wine. They had none but the clerk, who claimed to be a wine expert, assured her that Beppe Gold Moscato was very similar. Actually, at 5.5% ABV, it is barely 1/3 the strength of Port, but almost as expensive. At best, this is major ignorance; at worst, it's larceny. Either way, they'll never see me again. I went there on a Sunday afternoon, the store has a good selection of items. I had a carry basket with about five items in it. The person at the counter refused to check me out unless I personally removed the bottles from the basket. I asked her why and it took about three times to ask before she even opened her mouth. When I asked her why she would not remove the bottles herself, she told me "that's not my job." So then I asked to speak to the manager and she said "that would be me." Right then and there I left the store after I told her that her customer service left a lot to be desired. It was not so much that she wouldn't do it - although I don't know why - but it was her attitude. Will probably find a better store that gives better customer service - like Total Wine which is close by this store. read more

Just left this place Very angry. I understand policy but their answers are just wow Because I brought my little sister in and she was 16 I couldn't get my wine or tequila because they do not sell if their are underage persons present! BUT they just sold alcohol to people earlier with a ten year old looking boy! They said no person would give alcohol to a 10 year old but because my sister was sixteen and I was upfront about her not being of age to drink they couldn't sell to me or my boyfriend! BECAUSE I DIDN'T LEAVE HER IN THE CAR! They said if I left her in the car it would've been fine, but because she was there no sale. Is there a sign on the door saying no one under 21 allowed? Please show me if there is. AND if that is the case make it bigger, because I did not see it. AND if that is the case than anyone with children or looking young should not be allowed in the store based on policy. What if that person was giving alcohol to their ten year old which looked way older. You have no idea. If it is policy than it should go to EVERYONE! You have a child or young person with you no sale. period. Don't treat everyone different! I am of age to buy alcohol. Because I did not want to leave my sister in a car alone I am punished...... They just lost my business/money! I get policy but to say if I just left her in the car ..... and to say you don't sell if underage persons are present when you just did it...... Liquor ABC is the semi-official place to get booze in the great State of Florida- so that being said, you pretty much know what they sell- right? What I like about this place is that they have a huge selection of liquors at a variety of price points, which is what you sort of expect of a place that sells liquor in the first place but what I really like about this place is that they also sell cheeses and crackers etc. so you can toss an impromptu wine party or picnic or just have a hot time with the significant other. To me, this is a fantastic idea and one every liquor outlet in the world should follow. Helpful people working this location make getting in and out a snap. Ample parking all around. read more

I am giving this branch (2)two stars. Not out of malice or a bad customer service experience, but for the policies of the store. I was a patron at this store twice during my visit to palm Beach county. I was visiting my mother who lives not to far from this store. When my cousin and I arrived the employee quickly asked me for an ID. I was not the one making a purchase so I reluctantly said I didn't bring one. As a result the employee made me leave the store, which I did. I sat outside for the entire (20) twenty minutes as my family continued to shop. The second visit, I was planning on purchasing a well known alcohol beverage called Absolut Vodka. The same employee asked me for my ID card. I did carry it with me intending on making a purchase. As I have done many times at other retail chains in the nearby area. HOWEVER TO MY SURPRISE ABC WINES AND LIQUORS DISCRIMINATED LET ME REPEAT DISCRIMATED AGAINST ANY NON FLORIDA OR USA DRIVERS LICENSE. THIS STORE IS ONLY INTENDED FOR USA CITIZENS. Why you may ask? Because I handed my international drivers license along with my credit card and the employee started to laugh at it. Upon asking why? he explains he can't scan my Drivers license. After explaining I'm a tourist and visiting, he also said they don't accept no other forms of ID. I recorded the whole ordeal and sent it to all of my friends visiting this part of Florida. I need answers is ABC a government facility capable of denying another countries government issued ID. As of today I am no longer a patron. read more

The most well organized and friendly ABC I have ever been to. They always have what I am looking for. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you find what you need. They make great suggestions. I enjoy coming to this ABC. You are in and out in a few minutes. There is always plenty of parking. Prices are very fair. And they have a rewards program where you get occasional discounts. I got a free bottle of wine a few weeks ago. Shout out to this ABC! read more

DO NOT SHOP FOR WINE HERE. Snobbiest of all snobs - gather here if you want to buy wine. Amazing how they can actually make you recommendations with their noses so far in the air. I don't understand why you would overtly insult product you carry in your own store. I work for a winery that does a decent amount of business with ABC liquor (although I personally have nothing to do with it), and when I was selecting a bottle, a staff member came out - unsolicited - and told me rudely to put that wine back because it "wasn't good enough". Unbelievable. I wouldn't have written this review but this SAME thing happened a 2nd time to my sister as she was finding a bottle for a gift. When she told the store employee who I worked for, he made a snobby face and said he was a sommelier, so he would be able to recommend something better. Give me a break. I will never go back to ABC liquor again. The bag broke and the wine bottle was in pieces. I went back in to tell the clerk who just checked me out. She asked for my receipt. I told her it was in the bag. I asked if I could get another bottle. She told me to calm down and she would have to check to see if it really happened. Two employees went out. They came back and said we will allow you to get another bottle this time. I said well maybe your employees need to know for a heavy bottle of wine they should double bag. She said I asked you if you wanted another bag. I told her how am I supposed to know your bags are cheap. That is your responsibility. That is how you treat a customer who has been coming to you on a regular basis. No more. They will not get my business anymore. I will drive out of my way to get good customer service. read more

Why am I a fan? Prices - reasonable. Selection - great. Everything is well-stocked and organized. It's easy to find what you're looking for. Service - friendly. Happy to make recommendations. I like this store because it is close to my house. I usually go in to buy a bottle of Jim Beam more than a few times a month. The prices are not anything special but the staff is pleasant which I can not say is true for any Walgreen's Liquor, Winn-Dixie Liquor or other big box liquor store I have bought from locally. They don't have quite the selection of Total Wine but in most cases, it doesn't matter. I did get a Stella Artois 12 pack for $13 which is by most measures a good deal. They do bug me all the time to get an ABC card when I checkout, but I really don't see the need nor do I get any good reason from the cashiers why I should get one. Frankly I think the whole act of buying an ABC card is tantamount to admitting you have an alcohol problem. Either way I didn't want to fill out the application. They are remodeling the store since last I went in (the manager said it was a way to keep up with Total Wine). WORD OF WARNING: Be careful pulling out of the parking lot because there is a dangerous amount of shrubery and foliage blocking the turn onto Boynton Beach blvd going west. Thank god I don't have a stick shift or I would stall out trying to hold on that corner waiting for traffic to let me in. read more

I used to speak so highly of this place, but my last visit was my LAST visit. We race there for 8:30 to beat their close time of 9:30. They bring us in n sit us down and as we walk up it seems like they are still making food. NOPE!!! I got a 1/3 of my usual because that's how much of the selection was out. When we asked when they stopped making food they said 9- WE GOT THERE AT 8:30! What buffet stops making food an hour before closing? We complain to the waitress and she throws her hands in the air clueless, nothing ever relayed to management. And no curtsy on the check. F this place!!! read more

I went into this store not too long ago. And I can honestly say it was the worst experience. We were followed around the store the entire time to the point where I had to turn around and ask the gentleman if he thought we were going to steal something. We stood in line and watched multiple people get checked out and when it was our turn the gentleman requested all of our I.D's and sat there for over 5 minutes examining them and scanning them to make sure they were valid. I politely asked for my I.D's back and said I would not make a purchase here if we were going to be treated this way. He did not check a single persons ID prior to us, I kept a close eye on that. I would never buy anything here again. I would not want the color of my skin to offend anyone. Horrible experience. I have been buying here for about a year. Their prices seem very good - better than the internet in many cases. Staff is helpful and their stock is good and the store is well kept.
