The wine and beer selection is not as comprehensive but still pretty good. The wine and beer prices are a little on the high side compared to grocery stores or Total Wine. For a liquor store, this store is amazing. They easily have the best selection in town, and at reasonable prices. In addition to having a large variety of wine and every kind of liquor imaginable, they also have a huge assortment of craft beer, available in multi-packs or solos. I stopped by to pick up Not Your Father's Root Beer, and they not only carried that brand, but also five different other brands of alcoholic root beer. Yay! I love having a variety to choose from. They also have a great section of booze accessories, like glasses, openers, and garnishes for the cocktails you intend to make. During the holidays they had great deals on combo packs. I have a gift card can be use and we are happen to be close to this store. The Parking lot looks empty at 2:30 during that time. The store may be only three customers including us. May be this is the best time to shop since they are not busy. This is the biggest and nicer ABC that I have been through. I like the high ceiling that make the store elegant. They have many sections like wine, beer, spirit, imports and more. I am surprised that they have a big section of the hand roll cigar section. The display is very nice. Some of them is our local hand roll cigar. I use my gift card get some of the import beer and American brew. I got the Blonde Guinness the American Lager. The taste is average like regular American beer. Guinness usually has stouts which is very good when you age it. But this Blonde is just average. I was surprised that Guinness has a brewery in U.S. I also have the Innis and Gunn from Scotland. This is the rum oak aged beer. This is very interesting beer for winer (wine enthusiastic) like me. The experience has oak flavor and in beer. Nice taste. The beer price is average compare to other wine and spirits store. I love these ABC Fine Wine & Spirits Stores throughout Florida. They remind of a total wine but they seem to have more unique items and that's what brought me to this Tampa Location. We were looking for a particular whiskey and this was the only location that had them. You can order online but its good to note that you have to order during their business hours or it won't go through. I did it on Christmas day and it wouldn't process but they money was pending on my card so I thought it might have. Then I did the same the next day for a different location and it worked so I am deducing that it won't process unless the store is open. No harm or foul, the store had my items in stock when I arrived and it's right next to a Greek restaurant so after we secured our purchases we walked right over there for a festive lunch. The staff at this location was very friendly and knowledgeable. Way better than the staff I experienced at the Orlando location the next day. Either way I'll still be happy to patron these stores as they are bright and inviting and I also like that they have cold items too like limes and cheese - things you might forget you need for your cocktail hour. read more

One of the largest and best-stocked liquor stores in the Tampa Bay area, this ABC Fine Wines & Spirits store is located along Kennedy Boulevard, near the intersection of MacDill Avenue. This section of Kennedy used to be considered less-than-desirable, but several recent remodels and upgrades have really turned the neighborhood around. This store is well-lit, and the parking lot is under observation at all times. ABC is now staffed with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff, in addition to their great selection of wines, spirits, and food items. This is definitely the place to come to if you are looking for an obscure bottle of Scotch, or need help selecting a wine to take to a dinner party, or want to find some fancy hors d'oeuvres and cheeses to add some zing to a cocktail party. My buddy Dennis and his wife are in the business of manufacturing homemade barbeque sauce in a variety of flavors, and ABC happens to be one of the stores in town which carry their products. I can always count on finding Dennis's barbeque sauce in Key Lime, Pineapple, and Mango Habanero flavors at ABC. I love the new remodeled location, with the exception of the parking. I was just there last week and the driveway turning into the store was not wide enough for two cars. I love the store because it is very close to my neighborhood and I can always pop in for a quick gift for a friend...or myself! The staff is more than helpful here and the store is very clean. The last time I was here as a customer was the Colt Ford Chicken Cock Whiskey Tasting. I was dragged here by a friend who is a fan of his and we were going to his concert at the Round Up later that night. As much as I was traumatized by all the country rap fans who had came out to meet him, I was very pleased with the organization of the event. The event was well planned, ran smoothly, and Colt Ford was a pleasure to meet, as well. ABC has frequent specials and tastings. They also price match and have a frequent buyers card. Pretty big humidor with a lot of good deals on cigars! Olivia G series on sale for just over $4 a stick? You can buy 25 of those cheaper than buying the whole box from Tampa Humidor on Busch. The new store is fantastically clean and well-organized. Not super tall aisles that you cannot see over, so the sections of the store (Beer, wine, chilled wine, liquor, etc.) are all very visible. Plus, up in the front, they have a really good selection of cheeses and meats. Ask about their ABC card point system. Make sure you keep your receipt. read more

They have it all in a classy environment ABC stores have been basically a warehouse with liquor boxes stacked on the floor and the top case open for selection. No more, they are converting stores to this new prototype (must have gotten a wake up call from Total Wine). After coming here, Total Wine will feel like a WalMart. The Growler stations has me coming back again and again, I just cannot get enough of that fresh craft beer. I drive past this place on my way home from work and the thought of putting a big growler of some delicious beer in my fridge is irresistible! The rest of the store is huge! They have a cigar humidor and all the new flavors and special additions of various liquors. They have a huge wine selection, and overall the new store is flat out spectacular. They staff has all been friendly, and Kirk at the growler station a couple weeks back deserve huge brownie points for putting up with all my questions. They have a beer tasting from 6-8 on Jan 23rd, and I plan to check that out only if my potential plans to see then Lightning shoot some puck fall apart. I think it costs $10 but you should double check that. The two complaints I have are...and understand it is outside the stores control...but (1) we need bigger growlers, I guess we have to write our state legislators about that one, but come on, let ABC sell big growlers, and (2) why did ABC have to sell out of the Porch Peach Lounger! It was such a good craft brew. Maybe they need more than 12 choices, but nevertheless they have a great selection and very helpful twitter updates. The Online ordering system was down for the Hillsborough store. This was my first online worker with curbside pick up. I called and spoke to a manager about placing the order via phone and paying for it for curbside pick up as I haven't been inside stores due to Covid. She told me they weren't allowed to do that. So they missed out on another sale because they wouldn't not provide good customer service. I called another ABC Wine & Spirits farther away and they were pleasantly accommodating with my order. This place is best described as Disneyland for adults! Wonderful ABC Location. I'm no alcoholic, but I've been to a many ABC's in my time and this one is by far my favorite. The layout is simple and easy to navigate, and the set up and decor make it seem a little more posh than your standard liquor store. My wife absolutely loves their wine section. The staff is incredibly courteous and helpful. They even let us sample some wines to help us choose what we want. They have a decent beer selection. Nothing compared to Total Wine, but good enough for the average joe looking to pick something up on the way home. Also they fill growlers at this location. The workers seem to be really proud of where they work. I bought a bottle of wine and the clerk told me it works great as a reduction. At least they know their stuff. Often while buying beer I will spark up a conversation with the clerks about beer. If you need help, they are more than willing. They have tons of stuff, lots of discounts. I found the parking a bit odd but it's big enough to accommodate most and it's usually not packed. I did find myself walking around in circles looking for things perhaps because the labels were low. I find this ABC location to be clean and very big but logistically entering and exiting the parking lot can be difficult due to it being directly on Kennedy and normally there's a lot of traffic. Will never go back here again. The cashier told me that my ID was fake (I'm over 21) and proceeded to keep it and "called the cops" I waited for about an hour and no cops came. Finally someone else gave back my ID and told me I could go. After being asked why he took my ID he said it was because a lot of fakes are from my state... Not really a valid reason.
