This is a great spot to pop in for lunch. It's bright and airy... you walk in, peruse menu & order at the front desk. It's fairly quick and they bring you your food when it's ready. All of the servers I've experienced are very friendly. They have many different kinds of tea also, but I haven't tried any yet. They all look really tasty and you can add different toppings to customize your tea. The egg rolls are a favorite for me and my husband- they're so delicious & crispy. We order it with siracha & soy sauce instead of the sauce it comes with- simply just a personal preference. I usually get the Spicy Tuna Avocado salad but they don't always have it. (which I'm ok with because they make sure the tuna is fresh) I have gotten the shrimp and mushroom rice platter before and it is very tasty as well. My husband loves their Bahn Mi sandwiches- he tries a different one every time and always is very satisfied! If you are in downtown Tampa, I would suggest you definitely check out Fusion Bowl. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with a side of egg rolls. The food was cooked well, but it lacked flavor. There are sauces on the table, but if you enjoy seasoned, flavorful dishes, this place probably isn't for you. I had to rely on the table sauce just to get some taste, which isn't the same as food that's cooked with flavor. My order came to $28, which feels high for food that's this bland. I have not been here in probably 5 years. I used to go all the time pre-pandemic and always enjoyed it, but then went the WFH route so no longer worked downtown. But I had jury duty and when they said we were getting a break, I quick looked, saw they were open and only a 6 minute walk away. Good news. I remembered they had 3 go to dishes, one of which was the Pho, another was a bowl I'd order with pork and the third was Udon noodles with protein. I got there just before the lunch rush, and saw the menu was the same, except that naturally the prices were much higher. So I saw this was going to be a pricey lunch, but so what. After 5 years, I was excited to try those delicious hot Udon noodles again. When I got my lunch about 10 minues later, my first reaction was that the food looked the same, but the bowl was much smaller. Oh well. I assumed shrinkflation is happening everywhere, and just went on enjoying the lunch. The protein was not that good, and there wasn't much of it, but the noodles were epic, so I was pleased overall. Until that is, as I was getting ready to walk back for my afternoon civic duty, I noticed three people who ordered the same thing but had the old style LARGE bowls that I remembered. What was up with that. I felt very cheated, but just turned in my dirty dish, said thanks and walked back. Except an hour later I was very hungry and more disappointed than I was before. I'm not going back there any time soon, but did want to report back that a $17 lunch (before tip) and small portion was not going to get a 4-5 star review. I thought about not posting this at all, but hopefully someone from the restaurant reads this and makes sure that portion sizes are uniform for all diners. Probably one of the worst viet food I ever had. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi and the beef bun bowl. First off the grilled pork banh mi had an overwhelming magi soy sauce taste. It was doused to the point where my sandwich was soggy. They also don't use pickled carrots/radish for their filling (which is what traditionally is used). And included lettuce for some reason?!? The pork was overcooked and didn't have that distinct thit neung taste. It was almost flavorless. We actually had to throw it out after a few bites. The bun bowl had overcooked noodles (not springy) and overcooked beef as well. I can tell that they used cheap cuts, most likely stew meats, for this bowl. Also flavorless. Even the fish sauce, so quintessential in Vietnamese cooking, was watered down and didn't have that distinct viet flavor. I've been to this place twice now and yet it's still horrible. Although I haven't tried their pho yet, I would avoid everything about this place. Even their spring roll, a single one, costs $6. Insane. At least it looks kind of cute inside. read more

I just had to come when I saw the ADORABLE tea bears that you could get in your tea!! So we were in the area for brunch and took a nice 9 minute walk after to this place. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You place your order at the counter and take a seat where they will call your number which is on your receipt to get your goodies. Upon entering this place smells WONDERFUL!! They have a clear menu posted on the wall. I got the grapefruit green tea with a green tea honey bear and my daughter got the Thai tea with brown sugar boba and a Thai tea bear. The bears are made out of tea and eventually melt into your drink but it takes a bit of time. Well it was cooler on the day we went but it may melt quickly on a hot Florida day! The tea flavors were good! Not the best grapefruit tea I've had because that belongs to OneZo! The boba on the other hand was not good! It was actually hard like they didn't cook it long enough. So we had to strain out the boba when we got home. Would I go back? Yes absolutely just for the dang bears! Just don't recommend the boba. Then again maybe it was a bad batch. read more

I recently visited Fusion Bowl for lunch and tried the Fresh Spring Roll and Udon with Chicken. The spring roll was filled with soft noodles, crisp lettuce, fresh flavorful basil and cool tender shrimp and paired with a flavorful peanut sauce. The Udon with Chicken was delicious; thick savory udon noodles were mixed with fresh aromatic cilantro, crisp carrots, onions, broccoli and cabbage and tender chicken. Seems like Tampa doesn't have much of a bubble tea scene. We came here to get those frozen cute bear-shaped flavored toppings that floats in your bubble tea. It's also a Vietnamese restaurant, albeit fusion. Much more Americanized. We weren't hungry so we weren't planning on eating, but we did see a good handful of folks dining in. The guy at the counter seemed clueless as to what bubble tea was...LOL he was not helpful at all. Staff should probably know the menu or at least be able to give you recommendations. Anyway, I ordered a black tea milk tea with a peach-flavored milk tea bear. My sister got taro milk tea with a milk tea bear flavor that I don't recall. The bear does add to the price, but it's not that expensive. Only $1.25. Kinda thought it would be pricier. The bubble tea was decent. Not the best I've ever had but not the worst. Only reason they get 4 stars is because the milk tea bear is a unique touch. Personally, the only thing going for it was that it was aesthetically pleasing. My bear didn't really melt. I didn't taste the flavors from it. It was refreshing to drink on a hot day though! Parking was almost too easy. I come from a city where you gotta know how to parallel park or else. This is the only Boba place I could find in downtown Tampa. The staffs are nice and quick to serve. The tea tasted good.....until I found a huge block of bobas on the bottom. Ordered a pick up order of pho chicken soup to warm me up this morning. It was ready in about 5 minutes and tasted delicious. The noodles and other ingredients were in a bowl and the broth was hot and in a separate container, ready to be combined. I added the broth and let it sit for a few minutes. Flavors were great and hit the spot. Chicken was a little dry but not a problem once combined with the broth. Staff was really nice during pickup. Quick service! I have been to Bo Tea (the drink concept with Fusion Bo) several times for boba milk tea and have loved every beverage. I never realized Fusion Bowl was their food concept, but I had faith that it would be quality based on the experience I have had with Bo Tea. I was correct. I obtained my food via Uber Eats delivery, and even though there was time between when the food was prepared and when I ate, the quality did not suffer as a result of this. I ordered a spring roll, the pork egg roll bun bowl, the beef pho, and the earl grey lavender milk tea with boba. I appreciated how the pho broth was placed in two containers (the broth container was stacked in an additional container) so that it did not hurt my hands. I also enjoyed how I was able to cook the raw beef in the hot broth, and how I had the option to select cooked beef if I did not want to do this. A few notes: -My boba tea did not come with a straw. Luckily I had a leftover straw are you home, but had I not had this straw it would have been nearly impossible to enjoy my drink the way it is supposed to be enjoyed. -The spring roll appetizer came with one roll (every other restaurant I've had it at includes two) and it was not cut. We all really enjoyed eating lunch at the Fusion Bowl in downtown Tampa, FL. The food was prepared fresh and there were many options, but not so many as to confuse you. One of us had the teriyaki chicken plate and another had the glazed salmon plate, both came with a huge amount of jasmine rice and stir fry cabbage. The chicken was melt in your mouth delicious. The salmon was thick and cooked just right. The other two of us both enjoyed the fresh spring/summer roll and a nicely seasoned seaweed salad, and the lemongrass chicken banh mi sandwich. That was the best Pho I have eaten lately. The beef is tender, the broth is rich and flavorful. Pork & egg roll Bun was pretty amazing too. The restaurant located with street parking but it was very busy when we arrived. My husband saw another parking lot really nearby, so we decided to park there. I love downtown. But most of the time is difficult to find great food with reasonable price. Fusion Bowl has solved many lunch office workers with affordable price. The location also is prime location next to county office building. I was surprised we able to find a "great" drink place with decent food. The drink. I have the mixed berry with condensed milk with coffee jelly. This is great drink. This drink has many berry type and herb. We also has a good lavender drink and mango drink. All these drinks were good. But the mixed berry is the best. I got the beef noodle pho, lemon chicken fresh roll and grilled pork bowl. I said they are decent and acceptable. The quantity enough for lunch and better than fast food. Lemon chicken is good to start. The store owner was friendly. I like this small business. Why 5 stars? Because this is one of the better downtown eateries. --- --- --- I've had Fusion Bowl bookmarked for years, but just don't find myself in downtown Tampa during lunch very often. For Fusion Bowl, and a few other places, I used my first few days of paternity leave to take the baby out and hit up some of these local bucket list spots. First off, parking in downtown during the week is no picnic. If you're planning on checking out Fusion Bowl and, like me, aren't already parked downtown for work, plan to do a bit of spot-hunting. I must have driven up and down 20 blocks and two lots before I finally found a random spot about three blocks from Fusion Bowl. And of course, coming into Fusion Bowl with a baby stroller when every other patron was clearly on lunch break from their nearby office made me feel quite out of place. I hope the good folks of Fusion Bowl appreciated the great lengths I went through to enjoy their food. And enjoy their food I did! Ever since my first visit to Hawaii a few years ago, I feel in love with udon noodles. While many items on the menu here looked great, my choice was relatively easy as soon as I saw those on the menu. And my beef udon selection worked out perfectly, as it was everything I hoped it would be. If I could change one thing, it would have just been a larger portion because I wished I had more! I also ordered a strawberry muddled tea and a viet-french coffee, both of which were perfection. The tea was so refreshing and the coffee was a little sweet, but not overly so. My friend & I went yesterday. Such a cute little spot downtown. Was able to find parking across the street & only payed $2.50 for it! I got the Thai Milk Tea with Boba, the Avocado Fresh Spring Rolls, and The Grilled Chicken (Bun) Noodle Bowl and a small bowl of edamame to share. My friend (across from me in the photo) got the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl & a Hibiscus Tea. My total came out to about $24 with tip, hers was about $19. Overall, a solid four stars. If I could rate the boba separately, I'd give that 5/5 stars. It was super creamy and the Thai tea wasn't watery at all, the boba was perfect too. As for the food, it was yummy, but nothing too special. I feel like for such a cute environment and area, maybe there would be something special? The ordering process is easy - step up, scope out the Viet & Asian dishes & put in your order at the walk up counter where you get an overview of the warm and fuzzy feels of the restaurant that can occupy up to 30-40 people. One area to improve on would be the messy table against the half booth and chairs (they need padding) - they fixed that fast by quickly removing the dirty dishes after we asked. I was really surprised at how fast most of our food came out although one dish was lagging behind compared to my Beef Pho & hubs Beef Vermicelli - a small tweak would be better timing in getting all meals delivered. My Beef Pho arrived in a big bowl & included deep & rich flavors from the usage of beef bones in the broth; it tasted delish & included basil, cilantro, jalapeño, etc., which they add while most Viet places let you customize how much herbs you want to add on the side. The broth is on the fatty side (see pic.), but it doesn't bother me at all - still really yummy. We came on the weekend for lunch, so parking wasn't too bad and managed to find a spot. It's comforting to know that at the height of a global pandemic, there is still a place to get great food and great service. The only downside is that this place is closed by the time I get off of work (5pm). My friends loved the Tofu and Chicken Pho. It's hard to get them to use adjectives to describe food. All I got was "it was really good" and they went back 2 days later. Actions speak louder than words, am I right? I begged them to bring me back some Beef stir fried udon to go. A thick noodle with a slightly chewy bite to it, you know what I mean, not soggy or mushy, but just right. The veggies weren't overcooked or frozen. The sauce is so flavorful and it really makes the dish. There were fresh carrots, onions, bean sprouts, cabbage, broccoli and topped with cilantro - omg I love cilantro. The beef was a little tough but that could have happened during the 30 minute delivery ride home in the steam of the container. I would still order the dish again. I also got the crab rangoons and the egg rolls and I loved them! Sorry, I ate them before I could get a picture. Fair prices. Hot delicious food. Fast and courteous service. read more
