I loved seeing their pocket-sized collection from their genre-specific books to celebrity finds. I spotted a Chappel Roan book among other favorites. Additionally, they had a selection of Heated Rivalry novels and other fan-favorites. I definitely see myself coming here more often, too bad my booklist is currently full. My Mom and I got a few items (a small version of Macbeth, socks, mug, etc.). Staff were pretty polite but a little awkward, I think they're on high-alert for shoplifters. The store was neat and tidy. Lighting was dim and the store wasn't packed. As this is a gift shop in LA, library-specific merch is slightly pricy. However, the quality of the goods are great. If you're entering through the backside of the library go straight down the entrance hallway a bit and turn to your right. The Library Store is hard to miss!

They also have an awesome selection of artists' goods in the back of their store, and books in the front. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful, and you can tell the store is very community centered. Love that they provide free masks for those who need them! Everything is pretty reasonably priced, especially for being in this section of Highland Park. I'm always willing to give my money to support small businesses over billionaires, and I hope this store stays around for a while.

This is the flagship shop opened in 2015 and there are currently three brick-and-mortar locations in Echo Park, Carlsbad, and Encinitas. [Parking]: Parking is very difficult in this part of town. I got really lucky and found a residential street spot on Grafton St. [Merchandise]: The shop offers many cute gifts including home goods, scented candles, tote bags, and a section with items for children and babies such as children's books and random animal plushies. I like some of their greeting card designs, but there is not much of a stationery selection. There is also a mini print vending machine at the front entrance. [Conclusion]: I am not sure whether I would drive out of my way just to shop for gifts here as there are too many random items. It would be nicer if the shop focused on a more specific niche category rather than being a jack-of-all-trades gift store.

The shop normally closes at 6 PM on Friday - Sunday, but the shop was still somehow open at 8 PM on Saturday while Damnoen Saduak (DS) Night Market was on in early August (the night market has since been permanently closed starting August 17th, 2026). [Parking]: Metered parking only with several paid parking lot options available in Chinatown. There are some free parking spots along Yale St. & College St. [Selection]: The shop offers various cute T-shirts, sweaters, hoodies, hats, art prints, red envelopes, stickers (buy 5 stickers get the 6th free), magnets, keychains, canvas totes, etc. All designs are original and created by Chunky's artists. This is one of the few gift shops with a big design focus on Shohei and his dog Decoy. Customers can add a frame to any art print for $15. [Conclusion]: This is a very small gift shop with no AC so it can get stuffy here. Personally, I think this gift shop has some of the better one-of-a-kind Asian inspired designs that are out there and I can see myself coming back here to get their unique red envelopes or Shohei/Decoy gear if I need some.

She will personalize anything for free from her shop. She has great prices! Items from like 2.00 and up. My ornaments were like 3.00 - 4.00 each, great price for co workers gifts (she will even gifts wrap them for FREE! Come on, were can you find anything for free??? She has all kinds of items. Like yard stakes for different holidays,kitchen decor-cat and dog items for animal lovers- tea pots and china dishes. Shabby chic furniture, plus when I was there she was talking to a lady that brought in shelves to have painted for a small price! Really nice person who owns it, she talks to everyone like family every time I come in she remembers me and is very warm. I would recomend you come in afternoon. The hours are 10:30-6:30 but she's usually there at 11:00 or so. I would of gave it 5 stars but the parking is crazy at certain times you can't find a spot to park, but besides that I don't know any other place like this to get things personilezed or cheap like hers. We had some time to kill and so decided to peruse around Little Tokyo and stumbled upon this shop…read more They had a TON of fun Japanese gift items and decor like stationary, postcards, kitchenware, maneki nekos, origami paper, and so much more. They also had a lot of traditional items/supplies for tea ceremonies, calligraphy, and kimonos. I had fun looking through all the items as it brought me back to our summer in Japan. Apparently they have a long standing history in LA, having opened in 1946 after World War II. The shop occupies the site of the first Japanese-owned business in Los Angeles, circa 1890's. Pretty cool! I have a soft spot for everything animal shaped and soo.... I picked up a fun/odd felt tiger Christmas ornament, a cat pen, and a super cute bronze cat shaped spoon that hangs on the side of your cup. Did I need it? No.... but it's fun and makes me happy. Haha! Overall, great shop to browse around and find some unique gift items. They even wrap up your purchases in paper bags like they do in Japan. I LOVE IT!
