I disagreed as the chip is not in my line of sight sitting low just above the dash. The representative then insisted it be a full replacement and that 'any state trooper that stops you would insist on a replacement as it is the law and you would be ticketed." This intimidation tactic was completely inappropriate. I went else where and was treated better.

The GM of the location told me, after finding out we wanted to bring our car to another shop for repair, that he didn't want to "waste his time" doing the estimate if they weren't going to get the repair work. After the 4 wheel alignment in a satisfactory amount of time, it was obvious that the rear wheels were & still are out of camber (vertical axis of tire) when I called to discuss the issue the person indicated that the tires were within specification according printout which was true and that some "Sports cars" (BTW it's a VW Passat) were supposed to have the rear tires out of alignment in spite of the fact that the tires are showing wear on the inside tread. Having worked as a mechanic and verifying via VW sites that this is simply not true I realized I was being fed a line of hogwash. Stay with the professionals folks for wheel alignments...do not let Belle Tire perform a 4 wheel alignment on your vehicle. You can't trust the results! To be fair, my previous experiences with Belle Tire in GR & Big Rapids have been very professional and customer oriented.
