I turned to ABC Heating & Air in desperation after being bounced around by American Home Shield and their incompetent people. American Home Shield sent us (Michael Tyrone Wolf/Wolfepack Co.) people who checked my unit in 5 minutes, proclaimed it was an electrical issue and left without checking anything else. Their boss even called me up the next day to raise his voice at me because I had the audacity to leave him a 1 star Yelp review. I'm so grateful I found Trevor's company online. I begged him to send someone out on a Saturday - so rare! But Eduardo came as promised, spent an hour thoroughly examining our unit, confirming there was no electrical issue, but gave us the honest diagnosis that as our unit was so old, it would be extremely difficult to source parts. He said he could put a bandaid on it and keep revisiting the issue or we could invest in a new unit and even lower our electricity bill that way. We took the second option - and we are glad we did! AJ, Pablo and Marco came bright and early on Monday to work on everything. As I worked from home, I did not hear a peep from them. They did everything quietly and were a well-oiled machine. They were so thorough and took the time to explain things to me and my husband. They were genuinely happy to do their jobs. The 3 of them did so much back-breaking work all the way till past 6pm. We were so grateful for their dedication. When they finished, we had beautiful cold air coming out of all our vents. They cared not just to do the job well, but to make sure they left us happy and satisfied. The company founder Tom, even came out the next day to check if everything was done correctly. It was so lovely meeting him. We are going to be lifelong customers and we are spreading the gospel about these folks. One thing you need to make sure in Southern CA is that you find honest, hardworking HVAC people because our summers can get brutal and we can't afford to let our ACs malfunction for long. I called ABC to see if they can come by to get a second consultation for the AC issue I was having and they were able to accommodate and come within the hour. John came by and immediately befriended me and has the obvious skill and experience in troubleshooting the issues I was having. I honestly felt comfortable with him as we made good conversation while he checked out my AC unit and figured out the problem. Unfortunately we couldn't find a quick resolve to the AC issue but he left me a couple options. He didn't want to charge me a dime while I offered but he strongly respectfully declined. Short story: My wife and I recently had our HVAC system replaced by ABC. We had been putting it off for years, and now that it's done, we wonder why we waited so long. We'll definitely be recommending ABC to our friends - everybody we interacted with was very friendly and easy to work with. I wish all contractors were this easy. ABC, any interest in taking on a bathroom remodel or block wall? Jk. Long Story: Our old HVAC was installed in 1989 - the A/C was super inefficient, and the heater only worked 10% of the time. This past winter, the heater gave up completely, leaving us rather cold. But we got through the winter with electric space heaters, assuming that replacing the entire HVAC was going to be hassle (working with contractors in general has been a huge pain in the past), and something we decided to put off until later in the year. We decided to finally pull the trigger in April and reached out to a few folks, ultimately deciding to go w/ ABC. The entire process was way easier and faster than we expected. Trevor came out to assess our existing system specs and layout at a time that was convenient for us. We discussed a few different options and he provided a couple different quotes within a day or two. After receiving the quotes, we responded with several questions (8 or 9 I think), and Trevor answered those questions quickly and thoroughly. Once we gave Trevor the thumbs up, he was able to schedule the work around our personal schedules, ultimately coming out about a week later. The crew that performed the work were all very polite and friendly. Jerry, the lead, was especially very good at addressing any concerns or questions I had while they were working. The very first thing they did was lay down cloth covers inside to prevent dirtying our floors and rugs. And once they were done, they made sure to wipe any marks they left on the walls around the closet where they were working. Overall, the work only took a day and half, and was fairly non-invasive. And since getting the system installed, we've used both the A/C and heater. They both work great! The system is also much quieter than the old one. I'm curious to see how much energy we save this summer w/ the more efficient unit. read more

I can't say how much I LOVE this guy! Came Home last night to find our house 86 degrees. To me, this is hot. Currently we are in the middle of a heat wave 100+ temps. Needless to say, I figured we would be dealing with hot, sleepless nights for awhile. Tom was able to squeeze us in his busy schedule today! I think he was eating his lunch on the road. Tom and his partner, sorry forgot his name, installed a new AC and heater for me several months ago. I forgot to leave a review, so here it is: I called ABC on a Saturday. Tom answered the call and was at my house within 30 minutes. I was building a pool at the same time I needed a new AC unit, so Tom had to work around the pool guys, and could not complete the AC job until the pool guys were done. Tom did a great job of maneuvering around the pool construction, and completed the job as soon as he had access. Absolutely great experience with ABC. The cost was significantly less then Costco and Home Depot. So I strongly advise you consider calling Tom before you make a decision. The new AC unit cools the house in half the time , and uses about 40% less electricity. Quiet also. Tom really knows his stuff , and is great to work with. Highly recommend ABC. Follow up ... has a small issue Sunday night. ABC showed up Monday, took care of it... it's really hot and they are busy, but they still took care of the problem right away. My air conditioning broke down in the middle of a heat wave. The next morning I called Tom to see when he could come out. He said he could see me THAT day but unfortunately I was stuck at work and wouldn't be able to get back until around 6pm. He said that it's fine and he would come out personally to look at it. Once he got to my place he replaced some parts. It initially worked but he said he wanted to wait and cycle it again to see if he would still work. He could have left and charged me but he stuck around to make sure that it work. Unfortunately, it didn't work during the 2nd cycle. He then realized that my air conditioner condenser was literally in its last legs (28+ years old). He said I could keep cycling the a/c on and off until the condenser kicks on but eventually it'll stop. He look at my house and layout and gave me recommendation. He gave me a fair quote for a new installation but told me to look around to see if I could find other deals out there. Ultimately, I called him back that very night and asked him to go ahead and install the new unit. He said he could order the next day (Tuesday) and install it on Wednesday. On Wednesday, I could not get day off and I was afraid that I would have to another day without A/C but Tom said he would work on the install while I was at work. He called me throughout the day to give me updates. I opened the garage remotely so he could add new coils. Once he was done, he called me. I came home to a cool house and no signs that anyone did a major install at my house (other than a new unit). ABC Air is top of the line customer service! Tom loves working with people and he's really looking to help people out. I really appreciate ABC Air. I've already referred him to friends and family. read more
