I reached out this morning after the AC took a crap last night. I suspected (after deep YouTube research) a capacitor keeping the blades from spinning. As I sat here basking in my cold AC, I thought I better give credit where it's due! Earlier this year, prior to the summer heat waves, our AC stopped blowing cold air. The first company we called gave us some really suspect advice and recommendations, so we called another one. The 2nd one was great but prices were pretty high (we ultimately needed a new condenser), so we decided to continue getting quotes and tried Boming air next. Called Tony yesterday, and he literally was at my house in 15 minutes. Not because he was not busy, but because he was in the area. My AC stopped blowing cold air. Tony got straight to work, immediately determined that it was most likely a faulty capacitor. Thank goodness he had a new one with him. My compressor was overheated, so he said it needed time to cool down and that the next day it would be blowing cold air again. Sure enough it's ice-cold again today. My impressionn is that Boming Air is a solo business, not a large established AC company. I like this personally because I have had bad experiences with the big companies, they love to overcharge for EVERYTHING. And they take longer to even make it to your house. My condenser was replaced just last year October and the previous company didn't tell me that the evaporator coil is incompatible. They came and now telling me to replace it where they could've done that right away. Tony explained this to me that the old evaporator coil was not compatible with my new condenser. Super easy to work with, to schedule and the only contractor that gave me an estimated price right away (after I sent pictures). Mid March install. Our project was pretty straight forward- install a mini-split in the detached garage. Tony arrived with his colleague Kevin at the scheduled time 9:30 am and they quickly got to work.
