Yet again, The Craftsman did not disappoint. Mykel (the owner) was onsite and even remembered me when I walked in -- a true sign of great ownership and hospitality. I introduced him to my wife, and we decided to sit at the bar. Holly and Julia took great care of us. Both were personable, attentive, and completely on point throughout our visit. We tried the queso dip with chorizo, zucchini fritters, and the dry rub wings -- every single item was delicious. Hats off to the chef. You really can't beat the vibe here. Close to the beach, clean atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, amazing food, and owners who add the kind of personal touch most establishments miss these days. They have a bar inside so you can sample and order some of their brews. The staff were helpful and nice and accommodating for a first time visitor I ordered the chicken club with chicken, Swiss on sweet wheat bread. Among the specials are Birria nachos, Birria quesadilla, Birria pizza and Birria burrito. I got to the Birria nachos recently and was quite impressed with the quality and large size. For $14.95, we got a humongous portion of crisp tortilla chips piled with pico de gallo, jalapeño, cilantro, and tender Birria drizzled with lots of queso and lime cilantro creams. Off to the side was a generous side of guacamole. It was more than enough for sharing. It was loaded, cheesy, crunchy and packed with flavor. It was absolutecomfort food/happy hour perfection. Brews Hall is always a hit and happy to be able to partake in their delicious month of birria celebration!
