Really dope hole in the wall joint if you're looking for a solid breakfast burrito and other breakfast and lunch options such as burgers, sandwiches, loaded fries and other snacks. Also a liquor store but this review mainly for their food. Ordered the Philthy Philly Breakfast burrito which was super heavy. Definitely get what you pay for but if you're hella hungry for a solid breakfast burrito this place has multiple options. Also ordered the loaded tots which I think was better than the burrito. Had plenty of carne asada mixed with other ingredients that packed plenty of flavor. Pricing not too bad especially for the portions that you get. Service is perfectly fine, can order ahead too. Overall would def come back especially if looking for something filling. read more

Stopped by Caps and Cork recently to grab food. It's more of a convenience store with a food counter inside, and honestly the food is usually pretty good. I especially like their breakfast burritos and have had good experiences here before. Unfortunately, this visit didn't quite go as planned. I ordered the ham and sausage burrito, which costs extra as a two-meat option, but when I got home it only had ham and no sausage. The burrito itself still tasted good, so this felt more like an order mistake than a quality issue. One thing to note is they charge a fee for credit card purchases, so cash might save you a little if you come often. Overall, still a solid local spot for a quick bite, especially breakfast, and I'll probably still come back. read more

I got the Philly cheesesteak burrito and it was delicious! There was a small mix-up with my original order, so I called and they were incredibly nice about it and offered to remake it right away. A liquor store is the last place where you thought you'd find delicious food, especially a breakfast burrito! FOOD - let's just say, DELICIOUS! They didn't have tots because their fryer wasn't working, but damn, the bacon breakfast burrito was sooooo good! SERVICE - The guys who were working there were nice and looked like they would've any questions I may have had. No complaints! AMBIANCE - It's a liquor store with a great cafe/deli. Sad we have been fans for a long time but the last 2-3 times we ordered they have been off with our orders being wrong and not the quality we have became fans of. BUYER BEWARE! Also on this morning we were told by the woman working the counter that the "BUY" 9 Get 1 Free cards are NOT valid if you BUY 9 burritos. The policy actually means "9 Visits" gets you 1 Free burrito or sandwich. So I bought 4 burritos and the same person in line that bought just 1 burrito gets the same value on their stamp card. I am always looking for a better breakfast burrito location in the South Bay. Nothing has really peaked my interest out here until I tried the Philly Cheese breakfast burrito from here. The cheese was perfect, I do not like stringy cheese in a burrito, the slices of the steak were perfect for a breakfast burrito and there was enough ratio to each bite. The location looks like a gas station convenience store. You order at the counter and our burritos took less than 10 minutes to make. There is not seating so that was a downside, we were looking to stay close to the area because of car maintenance. Their mild salsa was delicious with the burrito. I feel like it they can make a pico- style salsa (corner cottage Burbank style) this place would knock everyone's socks off. read more

Located between a 76 gas station and an IHOP. I got here shortly after they opened so there were plenty of parking spaces available. I ordered the rise and shine burrito with bacon. It's a decent sized burrito and overall was a good breakfast burrito. It came with your choice of mild or spicy salsa so I went with the mild green salsa. Service was friendly. Only had to wait less than 5 mins and my food was ready. Seems like others place their orders ahead for pick up too. The burrito was decently priced as well. I'll be brief. This is one of the best breakfast burritos I have found in Southern California. And I cannot believe it is in this little liquor store right next to a gas station. Story is that this family-owned shop is in what was once a Circle K. From the road, this place looks obscure. But, let me tell you, it gets very popular. Tip: Do not come here and order your food. They get very busy with orders, especially to go orders. You will be waiting 30 minutes for your breakfast. Call in your order well in advance. They have hot and cold subs, burgers, breakfast sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, grilled and cheesy items, street foods, fries and tots. All sorts of options: Ruben, pastrami, cheesestakes, roast beef, veggies, salami, pepperoni, turkey and ham. Certainly something for every single body. First timers. Oh my goodness the deliciousness that this place packs. Ordered an Italian Job. It had a kick. It was delicious. I ordered it warm. Hubby was lucky enough to try the Philly cheese. I haven't met a Philly that I liked yet and this is the place that I fell in love with it. This is as our first time here. We will definitely be back. Oh my I took a bite and I think I love it more than the Italian Job. The Philly also had a spice taste to it. It was good. This place really served deliciousness. There was only one size. And it was a decent big size. About $20 a sandwich. The place is clean and neat. Everything is orderly. Lots of beers to choose from. The staff are extraordinarily great. This place was sooo unsuspecting and it definitely took us by surprise. My friend and I were in Torrance looking for breakfast after getting tea and we came across this place online. Upon entering we were a little confused as all we saw was alcohol in front of us but as soon as we saw the menu we knew we were in the right place. The breakfast sandwich was unbelievably good. My husband and I tried the sandwiches and we both thought just ok. The ham I didn't like it was really thick, and tasted like what you can buy at the store. ( no biggie) my husband ate it. On the plus side, the bread was very soft that was nice, I appreciate that. I just wish there were more options for bread. However, I do love that they have white American cheese. The service was ok. This place has a fabulous beer selection for an almost corner store. There are many local offerings in singles and 4 packs. Prices are reasonable. It is on my way home, and that is also reasonable. I have friends that swear by the breakfast burrito. It is something I intend to try one, but I find myself stopping mostly on my way home after work. First time here & I tried the rise & shine burrito & added bacon and avocado. Not the best burrito I've ever had, not the worst. It honestly wasn't flavorful to me. There wasn't a lot of bacon, which more may have added more flavor and the hashbrowns weren't crispy. The burrito was mushy I think because of the eggs and "mashed potatoes". I was dissapointed since their reviews are pretty good but maybe I'll try them again at some point. The overall deli is nice itself though. I love Caps & Corks always been a fan until I noticed the lack of care detail in making food. I paid $2 dollars extra for an avocado and it looks gross, rotten & slightly molded!!! I am pregnant, and I have to be careful what I eat. I don't feel confident about eating food prepared by someone who thinks it's okay to put that gross avocado into a paying customers food. It shows lack of concern or possibly laziness which makes me question the over all preparation techniques and/or cleanliness of the cooking facility. read more

Having worked in Torrance for years (Hybrid) I must have driven by this place dozens and times and not noticed or known what it is. It's sort of hidden in-between a gas station and a strip mall and looks like a small liquor store. When I did a quick search, the breakfast burritos were the thing everyone said I had to get but it was afternoon and wasn't feeling breakfast. Great selection of cold/hot subs, burgers, burritos and more and all with some catchy names. When I hit a place for sandwiches for the first time, I always go straight to something that will remind me of the the OG Godmother @ Bay Cities. Lo and behold I found the Italian Job, ordered it cold and waited just a few minutes. While waiting I was amazed by the great selection of craft/local beers - whoever is in charge of picking those knows what they are doing! This is now a regular stop before the weekend to try a new selection.. It's a big sandwich and well priced for it's girth with plenty of soda/chips/etc to choose from on the side. Incredible. A friend recommended this spot for breakfast and I'm still dreaming about the Super Wakey Wakey sandwich. The thick toast and layers of egg with avocado and bacon- delish! Cheesy and has hash browns. It was seriously so yummy. HUGE sandwich. I couldn't finish mine. Others in my party ordered breakfast burritos and thought they were very good. So went here to try the breakfast burrito so don't try any samiches. For the sausage and bacon breakfast burrito and while it is certainly big enough the flavors are all muddled together. Potatoes were soft and it appeared they throw everything on the flattop and then pour some eggs over that and Coke it all together. Not my preferred way of putting my ingredients together. If the things wasn't quite large they might have leaned closer to a three star review. I also prefer a pico de gallo salsa inside my burrito and they don't out salsa inside but give you two small salsa verde containers. I like the foil wrapper. Place has no character but looks clean. Basically a liquor store that has some food inside. Burrito was over $15 and after the guilt tip was over $18. Not worth it. Once and done. Don't know why I ripped to have a bad handed to me with no personality. read more

The breakfast burrito is really good. One of the better ones around. The hash browns are crispy, and it's good even without salsa. 4 stars for the burrito. But Im docking it for 2 things. 1, if you want to order online to save yourself the wait time, there is a $2 service charge. And 2, it's ridiculously greasy. I've never had a breakfast burrito that dropped grease before. Its my fault for trying to eat and drive, so I didnt notice the drip right away. I thought i wrapped the foil on the bottom well. But it was all over my shorts, and had a pool on the floor. The last 1/5 of the burrito was inedible with everything absorbing the grease. I dont know how common that is, but it definitely ruined this experience. Pay attention when eating! read more

Caps & Corks does a lot of things well. Cheesesteaks are not one of them. This is a $23 cheesesteak with "extra meat." It's absolutely disgusting. Never order this. Made it through two bites and it went to my dogs. Fire whoever was working the grill Monday night. And whoever hasn't cleaned it in three months. You can taste it. Shame on you. read more

So if I want a breakfast burrito for dinner, Caps & Corks is the spot to go! I always get the sausage breakfast burrito. Taste so bomb. And my favorite sauce has to be the green sauce. Top the breakfast burrito with some green sauce and chow down! They are also a craft beer shop. So while you're waiting for your breakfast burrito to be made, take a look at the beer selections that they have and choose one that would go well with the breakfast burrito! Lol. I felt Serendipity has so much great potential, between the decor, service and bottomless mimosas I'd imagine they would have more birthdays or group celebrations going on, especially for such a large space. But the vibe was a bit off with the low playing Spanish music, I would imagine if they had more pop music or upbeat music to fit the vibe of the place they'd have more of a fun vibe. Not that there is anything wrong with Spanish music, it just wasn't jiving with the vibe of the place and was so low and not so up beat (romantic Spanish ballads were playing). The laminated menus also gave an old diner vibe instead of trendy "serendipity" vibe. Well, this was an anticipated opening for me. I think I first went to Mickey's Hermosa 20 years…read moreago. Well, the great parts is that the dude (young Asian dude) working was really nice, and good at his job. They were really really busy! He's a good employee, and the type of person who brings back business. Well, I can't say this was as memorable as Hermosa. I'm not sure why. I mean, it's gotta be the same recipes and ingredients. The bread didn't seem as fresh as Hermosa. That could also be from the humidity, but who knows. In any case, I'm glad it's here, and it's still probably the best sandwich spot in beach cities. So, I have a new rating system......I will be write what I feel honestly about an establishment. The only ratings I will give are 5 stars, which is enjoyable, or 3 stars which is "needs work."

The burgers are great, I always go with the spicy smash burger with a side of Korean sweet and spicy wings, which are my favorite item! The fries are always good, as are the zucchini and mozz sticks. The restaurant itself is really cute, very minimalist but it works perfectly for a burger joint. I really hope that PV/Rolling Hills can bring that area back to life because it's a really nice space with a theater and now bowling alley. Parking is plentiful and honestly not hard to figure out... it's not like it's the parking at Universal Studios...

Local Kitchen is a great place to have drinks after work or a great meal. They have a full bar and…read morecan make you anything you want, the bartenders are great. But we love to eat there. The place is so comfortable and clean. It is not loud like a standard bar and there are places to sit that are super quiet. The service is super nice. They will take goo care of you. I love the music they play. I am so sick of elevator music and they don't do that. I really enjoy that. All of their food is great, but I am hooked on their salads. Their Sartori Caesar is one of my favorites. It has super fresh crisp romaine hearts with freshly grated parmesan cheese, sourdough croutons and house-made Caesar dressing. I love the dressing. Their Big Newport Wedge is better than most is has the best iceberg wedge topped with applewood smoked bacon, balsamic red onion, tomato and a great blue cheese dressing. All the food is great and we eat more than just salad, but their salad is a stand out.

This would have easily been a 5-star review if I hadn't gotten sick the last time I ate here…read more I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito (the Vegana Toast made into a burrito) with vegan bacon, and it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, about 10 minutes after eating it, I got sick. My guess is that something may have been off with the Just Egg, but I can't say for sure. The mini waffles were a disappointment. They seemed deep-fried, smelled heavily of grease, and weren't soft at all. They even left the bag soaked with grease. On the positive side, the vegan BLT was phenomenal--super flavorful, unique, and one of the best vegan sandwiches I've had. I really want to give this place another chance because the food has so much potential, but I'm honestly still a little hesitant after my last experience.

Everything was warm, good and exactly as I hoped and I bet it's even better when in person. I'll put a hells yeah on the service because the order was all g double o d good even when to go.. The ambiance at home was cool like that as the bestie and I noshed whilst Netflixing & sipping vodka and tonics.. Giving the place 4 yumms up and a I'll taste more next time!

It's probably bought from somewhere like Smart and final... Although they do use Boars head meats they could put more meat and not even offer potato or macaroni salad on the side. The bread took away from the sandwich. :( I won't be back...
