The vegan zucchini wrap was so good, they had it on lunch special. The service was friendly and cool, he struck up a good conversation I appreciate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside it is very nice! Hard to tell it used to be a liquor store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely nicer now than it was, used to be sketchy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can see this place as a 5 star just because of the location. My blonde beer was nice, thank you Trademark Brewing! Looking forward to coming back for more vegan food or a game. Wonder if they show the LA Galaxy here.

Came in today on Saturday, 5/23/26. I've been here a few times before, but this was my wife's first visit since I've had nothing but positive experiences here and wanted her to check it out. Yet again, The Craftsman did not disappoint. Mykel (the owner) was onsite and even remembered me when I walked in -- a true sign of great ownership and hospitality. I introduced him to my wife, and we decided to sit at the bar. Holly and Julia took great care of us. Both were personable, attentive, and completely on point throughout our visit. We tried the queso dip with chorizo, zucchini fritters, and the dry rub wings -- every single item was delicious. Hats off to the chef. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You really can't beat the vibe here. Close to the beach, clean atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, amazing food, and owners who add the kind of personal touch most establishments miss these days.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll absolutely continue coming back for the food and beer. Do yourself a favor and stop in. Check out my previous review too -- that's how much I enjoy this place. Always have to give props to establishments that truly do it right.

Omgosh so glad to find this place. Perfection. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Delicious food, live band, wonderful service, and reasonable prices in Hollywood Riviera.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I hadn't had a pastrami sandwich in decades but am so glad I tried Craftsman's pastrami. Addicted! Perfect balance of savory and a bit of sweet. Great quality pastrami too. And the friendly, welcoming service was much appreciated! Felt like hanging out at a friend's place. Absolutely will be back!

Update: I believe there is new ownership, not that there was anything wrong my first experience, but I've been back for subsequent meals and the Philly Steak Sandwich is really outstanding. The Happy Hour is a great value too. Recently, I checked out a band my friend had seen before. I ordered the sweet potato fries, in lieu of, another cocktail and these were delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All around good vibes here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll be back!

Always a 5 star service when we come here! We have come here multiple times in the last 6 months and there is never a disappointment. The owners are very friendly and they make the place so fun to be at while enjoying very delicious food! You can't go wrong with anything you order. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich and breakfast burrito are so flavorful! The flat bread pizzas are to die for we have literally tried every one they have. Drinks are delicious! I'm just saying everything we have tried is so good!! You must try!

What a lovely little spot! And on Tuesdays, they have a $10 Philly cheesesteak with french fries that was actually legit and I can say that because I moved here from Philadelphia... Nice staff, great food, cute little spot in the village. I highly recommend it.

I called in to order a charcuterie board to go by phone. Ended up purchasing 2. They were very accommodating and the service was great. They opened in August of 2025 and have a great group of devoted patrons. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Currently just have beer and wine but will have their liquor license soon. Looking forward to dining there the next time I am in the riviera. Owners are amazing as well. Give them a try next time you are in Redondo. Buon appetito!

This business is located in a very accessible downtown strip of the city. Plenty of parking some within walking distance. Food and service were great. We were seated immediately upon entering and our order was taken as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very casual place to hang out on in the evening they had TVs playing football games and some people came with a small group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food and drinks were incredibly good. The hummus was a stand out for me though. Everything had so much flavor I don't think there is one bad thing on their menu. Easily a place I will definitely visit again.

It was my first time visiting The CraftsMan, and I had been hearing so many great things since the new owners took over. I decided to celebrate my birthday there, and I truly didn't expect the kind of experience I ended up having. From the moment we walked in, the owners personally welcomed us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was completely packed, not a single table was empty, yet somehow everything ran so smoothly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our drinks and food came out quickly, hot, and absolutely delicious. Honestly, it was by far the best burger and Philly cheesesteak we've ever had. What really stood out to me was how present and attentive the owners were. They were on top of everything while still being kind, warm, and genuinely friendly.[[HIGHLIGHT]]The whole place had such a welcoming, family-like atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]That night they had a live country band, and it made everything even more special. It was lively and full of joy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even though there wasn't much space or a dance floor, people still got up and danced; including myself![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seeing the smiles and happiness on everyone's faces felt like watching a big family celebration. It was such a beautiful sense of community.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To top it all off, the band ended the night by singing "Happy Birthday" to me. I felt so celebrated and honestly a little spoiled in the best way. If you're just looking for "food," you can go anywhere. But if you want high-quality, flavorful food, outstanding service, and a place where you truly feel at home -- this is it. Highly, highly recommend!

Great local gastropub in the Redondo Beach's Riviera Village. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food it very good; the environment is lively and fun; and the owner and staff are all friendly and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food: I went the first time recently for their BBQ, which is offered as a special on some Sundays. The beef "Dino" rib was great. The brisket and pork belly burnt ends were also super good. Their BBQ is prepared Austin-style, i.e., with a simple dry rub and served dry with a side of sauce. I loved the creamed corn side, as well as the baked beans, potato salad, and cornbread. In turn, I've been back for the "Philly" breakfast burrito (grilled and sliced ribeye with grilled onions, sweet peppers, tater tots, and scrambled eggs ... delicious), avocado toast, sausage platter (with a very interesting mustard sauce), zucchini fritters, salted pretzel sticks (which are Bavarian style with a nice chewy middle and served with an addictive beer cheese dip), 1000 layer potato, and poutine fries (which was served very hot, which kept the fries crispy even though covered with the poutine gravy). Have enjoyed every dish. Bottom Line: Great gastropub with a good selection on beers and wine, and delicious food. Update: Stopped by and ordered chicken wings ... very, very good. The chicken wings are not on the menu, so you have to ask for them. They were dry rubbed in Old Bay, accompanied with a side of blue cheese dressing, and served piping hot. Planned on having 6 and ended up eating 12.

A nice addition to Redondo. Came here for a happy hour drink and ordered the Philly sandwich because I had skipped lunch. It was huge and delicious. I only ate half, the meat was generous, flavors on point, the bun was nice and soft. I would get it again. The server was very helpful and the beers were great. Will come back.

    Hailey B.

We ordered the flatbread with ricotta cheese and some oysters. Both were delicious. Great pairing with beer. Service was friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Chill setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I drive by this place at least once a week and somehow never noticed it. I ordered the chili on my coworker's recommendation, and she was absolutely right--it was incredible. The flavors were rich and delicious, the portion was generous, and it came with cornbread that was the perfect complement. I left completely stuffed and very happy! I'm not much of a beer drinker, so I tried one of their guava seltzers (I wish I could remember the name!), and it was refreshing and delicious. The service really stood out as well. Our waitress was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made great recommendations and handled our group effortlessly as coworkers arrived throughout lunch, greeting everyone with a smile and making sure we were all taken care of. Overall, this was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu. Highly recommend!

It's not terrible by any means, but it's hard to justify returning. The menu features some nice Southern-influenced dishes you don't typically see at every brewery. Highlights and thoughts on what we ordered: Green Beans Appetizer: Easily the star of the table--perfectly seasoned with a great crisp crunch. Other Starters & Mains: We also tried the Brussels sprouts, chipotle wings, duck gumbo, and the daily flatbread special (tomato and burrata). Everything was decent, but for the price, nothing blew us away. Famous Brisket Dinner: A bit of a letdown. It came strictly with coleslaw and no additional sides. The flavor was fine--middle of the road overall. Between two 4-beer flights, we sampled most of their standard and hoppy lineup. They clearly excel at West Coast IPAs. However, the pricing structure on tasters feels steep--$6 for a 5oz pour of their Double IPA is tough to swallow, especially when calculated to cost more per ounce than iconic Pliny the Younger, which most places charge a dollar per ounce (when distributed). To cap off the 3-star rating, the 4-pack of IPA I purchased to-go was canned two months prior. Any craft beer enthusiast knows hoppy profiles fall off noticeably over time, and a brewery should really be prioritizing fresh inventory for retail sales. Total damage came out to around $200 for two adults and a child. For that price point, the value just wasn't there, leaving us feeling like something was missing from the experience.

Plus, Emily Gilmore implied that it was…read morenitwit juice and Buffy devolved to a Cave person after drinking enchanted beer so these quasi-after-school specials taught me that heathens and their kin drink beer. Of course, I kid, beer can be a wonderful thing, I just rather do cocktails and shots. So I went to Sugar Monkey Brewing because of a different pull: a power point slide show where friends pitch their single friends to strangers for a chance at love or romp. So I went in not knowing much of Sugar Monkey Brewing and I left with clear understanding that this place is an industrial beer oasis near the beach. The contrast of sand and blue on the horizon and the present aluminum lining made me feel like I was seeing a new uncommon mixture that proved that clashing environments can gel to delight. I found parking easily. It was a Saturday early evening, and about a 5 minute walk was where I discovered my spot. I honestly hated that I had to walk those 5 minutes but the walk uplifted my spirits for the weather was California crisp and the air and sky and atmosphere felt safe and proper. I wondered if i had the right place? The streets looked like too industrial. Like I had gone to one of those places that had a lot of factories in rows, but not much else. But I turned a corner and there was Sugar Monkey. Then I realized that a brewery would probably look like a beer factory so this place, with all its steel and pumps, had found its home amongst beach skies. As I walked back to my car, later that evening, I was in slight awe at the pale light blue and orange sky. It was serene, and vast and somehow beach appropriate. The water tower iin a picture I took was a nice touch as it reminded me of the Animaniacs, especially Wakko and Dot. I arrived after the first presentation was on its way. I started to listen intently to understand the dynamics because this all seemed so weird yet plausible. Like a dating auction turned fun not hokey or corny? The person was hyping up her friend J. Apparently, he spoke many languages, and hiked and did all these other stuff that were meant to induce attractions. Then she asked, What can he do? And she then explained how she was going to make a joke and that no one needed to fear going to hell if they laughed. And she then reveal that the thing he can't do is SEE because he was blind. The joke was in good taste. The joke, at least to me, carried disability pride. She had revealed that he was different because his sight was different to a crowd of would be judges and suitors. The strength of the duo was refreshing, dare I say, more than the beach breeze. Being witness to this moment made me feel like I had seen a beautiful moment and one I never imagine I would see. And for this reason alone, my trip to Sugar Monkey was more than fun, it was heart-opening. The place itself is cool. Their outside was a huge garden like setting. The place had pool, however, the patio is crowded so I am not sure how people can play if too many people are there. Another thing I saw- that is a credit to this place- is that it had a wheelchair elevator. So if someone was chilling in the patio and wanted to chill in their wooded floor area- where the bar was they could use the wheelchair lift, if they could not use their legs. The place had also had kind of like an off-beat personality. It had a British phone, an astronaut that seemed to have hit a space that painted him with grafitti flare, and beers with names like green means go. I think I would go to this place again, for the beer and the air and to Karaoke. I loved this place and the activity it hosted!

Unfortunately, the service completely ruined what should have been a fun afternoon. The brewery was practically empty, we were the only group there so there was no reason for the attitude we received. One of the servers, a woman with bright orange/blonde bleached hair, was incredibly rude from the moment we arrived. Every interaction seemed to annoy her. She rolled her eyes when anyone in our group asked for anything, acted inconvenienced by the simplest requests such as ordering another beer, and made everyone at our table feel uncomfortable. The worst part was that her behavior upset my 7-year-old son so much that he ended up crying. No child should leave a birthday celebration feeling intimidated by a server. To top it off, as we were finishing up, she started loudly slamming chairs around, making it painfully obvious that she wanted us to leave, even though there was no one else in the brewery. We came to support a local business and celebrate a special occasion, but instead left feeling unwelcome. Based on this experience, we won't be returning.

Yes, there's benches and a small faux grass area. But these benches, let me tell you, are T.R.A.S.H.! As much foot traffic comes through here, it's down right disappointing and shows how cheap a business can be. Like I said, the beers good, but when you sit on benches that I wouldn't donate to a public school, that a big oh hell no. It's been like this for at least the last 3-4 years. The staff is top notch very welcoming and reasonably fast at pouring. Kudos to them.

There are so many beers on tap that it's hard to keep count, and that's definitely not a bad thing. I'm partial to West Coast IPAs, and they have several excellent options, but the selection doesn't stop there. You'll find New England IPAs, porters, stouts, and everything in between. One of my personal favorites is the Milagro Nitro Stout. They even have "flavored water" like Modelo for those with questionable taste in beer. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. It's the kind of place where you can bring your kids, meet friends, or simply unwind after work. The background music is usually classic rock played at a reasonable volume, so you can actually hold a conversation. Large TVs above the bar typically have sports on, adding to the laid-back vibe. The service is another reason I keep coming back. Both bartenders are absolute class acts--friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the beer they serve. Whether you're a craft beer veteran or someone trying something new, they make you feel welcome and are always happy to offer recommendations. The food deserves recognition as well. I've tried a variety of menu items over multiple visits and haven't been disappointed. In fact, I'm genuinely surprised when I see complaints about the food on Yelp. It's good bar food done right, not a gourmet restaurant pretending to be something it's not. Needless to say, I'll be back. Actually, I already have been--many times. If you're looking for great beer, great people, a comfortable atmosphere, and solid food in Redondo Beach, this place is well worth a visit.
