What a lovely little spot! And on Tuesdays, they have a $10 Philly cheesesteak with french fries that was actually legit and I can say that because I moved here from Philadelphia... Nice staff, great food, cute little spot in the village. I highly recommend it.

Update: I believe there is new ownership, not that there was anything wrong my first experience, but I've been back for subsequent meals and the Philly Steak Sandwich is really outstanding. The Happy Hour is a great value too. Recently, I checked out a band my friend had seen before. I ordered the sweet potato fries, in lieu of, another cocktail and these were delicious. All around good vibes here. We'll be back!

I called in to order a charcuterie board to go by phone. Ended up purchasing 2. They were very accommodating and the service was great. They opened in August of 2025 and have a great group of devoted patrons. Great vibe. Currently just have beer and wine but will have their liquor license soon. Looking forward to dining there the next time I am in the riviera. Owners are amazing as well. Give them a try next time you are in Redondo. Buon appetito!

This business is located in a very accessible downtown strip of the city. Plenty of parking some within walking distance. Food and service were great. We were seated immediately upon entering and our order was taken as well. Very casual place to hang out on in the evening they had TVs playing football games and some people came with a small group. Food and drinks were incredibly good. The hummus was a stand out for me though. Everything had so much flavor I don't think there is one bad thing on their menu. Easily a place I will definitely visit again.

Great local gastropub in the Redondo Beach's Riviera Village. The food it very good; the environment is lively and fun; and the owner and staff are all friendly and welcoming. Food: I went the first time recently for their BBQ, which is offered as a special on some Sundays. The beef "Dino" rib was great. The brisket and pork belly burnt ends were also super good. Their BBQ is prepared Austin-style, i.e., with a simple dry rub and served dry with a side of sauce. I loved the creamed corn side, as well as the baked beans, potato salad, and cornbread. In turn, I've been back for the "Philly" breakfast burrito (grilled and sliced ribeye with grilled onions, sweet peppers, tater tots, and scrambled eggs ... delicious), avocado toast, sausage platter (with a very interesting mustard sauce), zucchini fritters, salted pretzel sticks (which are Bavarian style with a nice chewy middle and served with an addictive beer cheese dip), 1000 layer potato, and poutine fries (which was served very hot, which kept the fries crispy even though covered with the poutine gravy). Have enjoyed every dish. Bottom Line: Great gastropub with a good selection on beers and wine, and delicious food. Update: Stopped by and ordered chicken wings ... very, very good. The chicken wings are not on the menu, so you have to ask for them. They were dry rubbed in Old Bay, accompanied with a side of blue cheese dressing, and served piping hot. Planned on having 6 and ended up eating 12.

A nice addition to Redondo. Came here for a happy hour drink and ordered the Philly sandwich because I had skipped lunch. It was huge and delicious. I only ate half, the meat was generous, flavors on point, the bun was nice and soft. I would get it again. The server was very helpful and the beers were great. Will come back.

We ordered the flatbread with ricotta cheese and some oysters. Both were delicious. Great pairing with beer. Service was friendly. Chill setting.

Servers are always nice, drinks were strong and the food was better than expected! We really enjoyed how generous the portions were, especially the Tuna Poke Stack!

This is my family and my go to place now. We have consistently found things we like and as like many families sometimes it's hard to find a place we all like. They have really nice people working there, I really like the decor and will take pictures next time. It's not super big, just enough for the riviera. We all like their charcuterie board. So that is always ordered. We are usually pretty hungry when we go so we always add an additional order of the toast. Maybe they can add a few more pieces. I think it comes with 5-6. They board is a pretty good size with 3 meats, 3 cheeses, and few more surprises I won't share. Both my daughter and I love their salmon, grilled with a good helping of broccolini and cous cous. Pretty good portion. My husband loved their margarita flatbread, I had a bite and the mozzarella was good! They also have a pretty decent selection of drinks. This time I didn't want a full plated meal so I got a side steak with their chimichuri sauce. Perfect size and cooked. I couldn't finish so I took it home and ate it with my daughter's left over cous cous. I am so glad we have another choice vs their neighbor across the street. It's a great place, prices seem a little steeper, but I think the food is good and they give good portions. Check it out sometimes!

*HH Wednesday 3-6pm: discount charcuterie, oysters, wine* pros: - considering both the charcuterie and half dozen are normally $30, incredible HH special with prices in half - misty point oysters from virginia were incredible - outdoor seating (?) so probably dog friendly - good service 5/5

We are frequent visitors as we live in the neighborhood. Here are a few things I love that I want to share: 1) It's a fabulous place to throw a party! I recently threw my mom's 70th birthday party there at NDB. Huge shout out to the manager, Jess. I reached out to her asking if they could reserve a little space for us. She was extremely helpful and accommodating. She even let us set up early with some decorations - her flexibility and kindness were so appreciated! She also assigned us an amazing bartender - Kara! And she took great care of all of us. Thank you Jess and Kara!!! My mom and all our guests had a wonderful time. 2) During the day, they are family friendly which is a huge selling point for us. They have games and markets/crayons that the kids can use. 3) The food is really good! I like the chicken caesar wrap and the tacos. But it's all really good and high quality. Great job, chefs! 4) I appreciate that they have wine, as I am not a beer drinker. And most breweries only serve beer. 5) Having music/entertainment many nights per week is awesome. Always a good time. 6) As mentioned - but will again - the service is fantastic. We love to support our local businesses - this one is top notch. Go visit them. Cheers!

Plus, Emily Gilmore implied that it was…read morenitwit juice and Buffy devolved to a Cave person after drinking enchanted beer so these quasi-after-school specials taught me that heathens and their kin drink beer. Of course, I kid, beer can be a wonderful thing, I just rather do cocktails and shots. So I went to Sugar Monkey Brewing because of a different pull: a power point slide show where friends pitch their single friends to strangers for a chance at love or romp. So I went in not knowing much of Sugar Monkey Brewing and I left with clear understanding that this place is an industrial beer oasis near the beach. The contrast of sand and blue on the horizon and the present aluminum lining made me feel like I was seeing a new uncommon mixture that proved that clashing environments can gel to delight. I found parking easily. It was a Saturday early evening, and about a 5 minute walk was where I discovered my spot. I honestly hated that I had to walk those 5 minutes but the walk uplifted my spirits for the weather was California crisp and the air and sky and atmosphere felt safe and proper. I wondered if i had the right place? The streets looked like too industrial. Like I had gone to one of those places that had a lot of factories in rows, but not much else. But I turned a corner and there was Sugar Monkey. Then I realized that a brewery would probably look like a beer factory so this place, with all its steel and pumps, had found its home amongst beach skies. As I walked back to my car, later that evening, I was in slight awe at the pale light blue and orange sky. It was serene, and vast and somehow beach appropriate. The water tower iin a picture I took was a nice touch as it reminded me of the Animaniacs, especially Wakko and Dot. I arrived after the first presentation was on its way. I started to listen intently to understand the dynamics because this all seemed so weird yet plausible. Like a dating auction turned fun not hokey or corny? The person was hyping up her friend J. Apparently, he spoke many languages, and hiked and did all these other stuff that were meant to induce attractions. Then she asked, What can he do? And she then explained how she was going to make a joke and that no one needed to fear going to hell if they laughed. And she then reveal that the thing he can't do is SEE because he was blind. The joke was in good taste. The joke, at least to me, carried disability pride. She had revealed that he was different because his sight was different to a crowd of would be judges and suitors. The strength of the duo was refreshing, dare I say, more than the beach breeze. Being witness to this moment made me feel like I had seen a beautiful moment and one I never imagine I would see. And for this reason alone, my trip to Sugar Monkey was more than fun, it was heart-opening. The place itself is cool. Their outside was a huge garden like setting. The place had pool, however, the patio is crowded so I am not sure how people can play if too many people are there. Another thing I saw- that is a credit to this place- is that it had a wheelchair elevator. So if someone was chilling in the patio and wanted to chill in their wooded floor area- where the bar was they could use the wheelchair lift, if they could not use their legs. The place had also had kind of like an off-beat personality. It had a British phone, an astronaut that seemed to have hit a space that painted him with grafitti flare, and beers with names like green means go. I think I would go to this place again, for the beer and the air and to Karaoke. I loved this place and the activity it hosted!

Ownership/service is about as bad as it gets. Overall service is pretty awful, not welcoming, catering to an odd crowd. I've been to sugar monkey about 20+ times over the last year, so this isn't a one off experience. We live local and go often but have slowly started just going to other breweries in the area given consistently poor service/rude servers here. I think there is really high potential here but they just swing and miss.

One of my personal favorites is the Milagro Nitro Stout. They even have "flavored water" like Modelo for those with questionable taste in beer. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. It's the kind of place where you can bring your kids, meet friends, or simply unwind after work. The background music is usually classic rock played at a reasonable volume, so you can actually hold a conversation. Large TVs above the bar typically have sports on, adding to the laid-back vibe. The service is another reason I keep coming back. Both bartenders are absolute class acts--friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the beer they serve.
