I spoke with Miki, who instead of simply coming out and charging hundreds of dollars for his expertise and time, did his own trouble shooting with me over the phone. I will spare you details, suffice to say after installing a new battery the problem was solved. A few weeks later I went to the physical locksmith store and a lady helped in making some additional keys for our lock. Today (Feb. 19, 2024), I went into the physical location and asked for additional keys to be made (I believe it was the same lady that helped me in the locksmith location a few years back, but I can't say for certain). The lady was very rude to me today and after I explained their technician came to our condo to rekey our lock, and then started arguing and said no this key was made by one of our competitors, not us. And she refused to help me. I was telling her that how could that be possible, it was their technician that came to our condo to assist and she refused to further assist. I have always used this business because they are our local locksmith in our area and we do all of our business with local businesses in our neighborhood. But after this experience today and how rude their employee was (I think it was the owner), I will take my business elsewhere and I don't recommend this business to anyone.

This review is to warn all potential customers about Pristine Locksmith and Gavriel "Gary" Yusupov…read more Our business hired Mr. Yusupov to change some locks at our commercial property. He came two consecutive days to do the job and then rushed us to pay him $1,835.05, which seemed very high for a few locks. He told us the job was complete and demanded immediate payment. However, when we came to inspect the job, we found multiple problems. First, there was a mess of metal door handles, locks, and other debris from his work scattered all over the floor (see photos). We asked him to come clean it up. He tried to blame it on the commercial tenants; however, he said he would come to clean it up, but made up an excuse and never came. Second, which is the worst part of all, is that he did not change one of the locks properly which meant the door could not be locked. It seems that his knowledge of advanced locking systems is limited because he damaged the lock and then tried to deny it. That lock is connected to a scan card device next to the lock, which he broke (see photos). The lock no longer could lock with the scan device interface. Within a few days of not being able to secure the door, the building was robbed in which thousands of dollars of property was stolen. Either he robbed the place himself or his negligence allowed free entry of a perpetrator to the property that stole the items. All of that is due to Mr. Yusupov. When we calmly called him to discuss this with him, he hung up the phone on us and refused to hear what we had to say, which suggested he at the very least knew of his poor job and potentially even the robbery. He was very defensive and would not let us speak, which is very concerning. We have filed a police report in which he will be under investigation. This is probably the worst case scenario anyone could ever envision from a locksmith. We now have to change our locks in entirety due to the horrendous job performed and the continued free access to the space. Stay very far away from this business so that you do not also end up in the horrible situation he put us in.

Avi reached out shortly after and was able to provide a quote with just a few details and photos. He showed up the next day on time and ready to work. He pointed out a few possible issues and worked to correct them. He was thorough and accurate in his service delivery. We accrued an additional cost when he advised that our back door locked should also be changed (so we wouldn't need different keys). This cost was justifiable and it didn't feel like an upsell at all. I think the value paid for his time and effort was very well worth it. I plan to use him again.
