Cons: I was instructed to call them when I arrived on the pick up date and was told to park in front of their warehouse. The person on the phone said someone would be coming out shortly. We had to call again and ultimately did not receive our items until 30 minutes after arrival. Also, the tables we rented were not wiped down and dirty from the previous rental. Surprised by how easy and reasonable it was to rent a few tables and chairs for a party. Booking was easy and I was given a 2-hour window for pickup. The ABC employee's loaded my car with the tables and chairs and soon I was back and able to set up. Returning the items was a breeze as well. The tables and chairs were a little beat up and fairly basic looking, but I didn't have a need for something fancy. They worked well for the party. My only complaint is how hard it is to get a spot in front of the loading area. Seems like they'd place cones in those spots and move them around when people with reservations show up. read more

The quality of their products is poor. I rented chairs for a dinner party I was hosting and once I took them out of the bag protector I was surprised to see how scratched the chairs were. I ended up using chairs from somewhere else. I do not recommend renting from here. They are not up to standard with the quality of their competitors. I have used ABC for over 20 years in my catering business. My past experiences have been good. Last Friday I was running 10 minutes late to pick two pre-ordered and PAID for grills. I called to ask if they would allow me a few extra minutes. The girl said NO! I pleaded and reminded her that they were already paid for, and a Sat pick up would make me late for my event. She still said NO. I rushed on in hopes that I would make it on time. When I arrived I saw the staff in their cars and asked if I could PLEASE get the grills. They said NO! I would have to return tomorrow morning. I was stunned they would not give me the Pre-paid grills which I am sure would have only taken a few minutes of their time. After all, I am was there! They all drove off. Sat morning they opened 5 minutes late. To add insult to injury, the guy that loaded the grills refused my simple request to to place the legs behind the grill to avoid shifting. He also said NO! Unbelievable!!!! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS ...NON EXISTENT!! No worries, NO MORE INSULTS FOR ME...I will be taking my business elsewhere. Rented some chairs from this establishment for my sister's indoor wedding and it was painless! I called them, two days before the wedding...I know it was a risk, for twenty chairs! The lady was polite and help me with my order. The next day I was able to pick up my chairs for a decent price! My chairs was not over the top good looking but they was good for the price I rented them at! Returning was simple! No haggles! They have plenty of things there to rent! Do not rely on theses people to extend themselves and follow through. They are in a rush to take an order and will tell you anything to close the deal. They require your signature by the midnight the day the order is placed and then you are locked in Any changes or errors( on their part) they do not admit to, --but will charge you for what u ordered and also for any changes you make. I was extremely disappointed by their lack of concern and the fact there was no manager on site to assist at 4 PM on a Friday afternoon My question is why was no one there if they were open till 5? I used ABC for a recent banquet and the customer service was outstanding! I placed an order and decided to forgo delivery/pickup. Well, when I arrived the rental was much larger than expected and would not fit in my vehicle. The staff at ABC was very accommodating. They arranged last minute delivery/pickup and even allowed me to make last minute changes to my order. They were prompt in their communication and incredibly professional. I had to call ABC multiple times since our plans kept changing, but they were always very helpful and their prices can't be beat. Tables are pretty beat up, but with tablecloths you would never know it. I really appreciated that I called the day before and they gave me a 2 hour window for the next days pickup of supplies. Make sure you clean the grill grates, or they will charge $50 for each grill that is returned dirty. Called them and ordered 16 padded chairs and 16 chair covers. Sent me both. Evidently you can't use chair covers with padded chairs - the sales person who took my order didn't mention that issue and when I called to say something to them about it, said it was my problem. They have no obligation to explain that the two don't work together. IN ADDITION, order tables and the table clothes they sent were dirty - stains all over them...again, when I called, they told me to take pictures and email them ahead of time bc they won't refund for dirty linen....even if you don't use it..... Yesterday (9/19/2019), I had a very important fundraising event where I needed 50 champagne flutes to serve alcohol to some top level people attending. Unfortunately, I was still between work and the venue setting up and couldn't leave until 4:20 PM. Thinking I still had time, I typed ABC PARTY RENTAL in my Google Map and the notification said that the place was closed at 4:00 PM. That was a problem. So I call the emergency number they have established and left a message. I also called the mainline and left a message on the voicemail. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK FROM ANYONE THAT NIGHT FROM ABC. ISSUES WITH ABC BUSINESS PRACTICES: 1. Never receiving a call from anyone manning the emergency line to even see if there was a spark of hope to resolve my dilemma. 2. Second issue...COMPANY NOT HAVING DUE DILIGENCE. Being reminded by ABC that it is in the contract they close at 4 PM and the 'use it or lose it' stands AND it's in your contract' IS MY FAULT. OK got it. Whatever happened to the days of reminder calls or emails? HELL, I'D PAID EXTRA IF SOMEONE COULD HAVE EVEN DELIVERED THEM TO ME. I messed up, I didn't plan my day right and this leads me into issue number 3... 3. DOING DUE DILIGENCE IS NON EXISTING HERE... this company does not get it. To be that BLACK and WHITE on a contract with no wiggle room for those times that matter is crazy to me. As I stated, I'd paid more to have the item delivered as the event was downtown. Even if your facility was closed, calling me back last night to stipulate the contract would have been due diligence. OR EVEN SOMEONE IN CHARGE OF PICK UPS TO GIVE A COURTESY CALL. 4. LACK OF CONTINUOUS OPERATION...It's not hard to understand that your industry will have customers with a need after hours. Why not have a part of your business open for PICK UP customers. Store closes at 4 PM but pick up stays open maybe another hour and a half. Staying open a little longer is actually due diligence. 5. BLAMING THE CUSTOMER FOR A BUSINESS THAT RIGS THE POLICIES FOR CUSTOMERS TO LOSE... Toward the end of the conversation, the agent says 'we've never had that problem before' and I said that's a lie. You're trying to convince me in all the years that you have been open that THAT problem never happened. LIES. She confessed and said 'well anytime it has happened it has been because of the customer.' I said, so why not change policies to help your customers. I stood to lose ALL my money NOT A PERCENTAGE, ALL OF IT just because I missed the 4 PM deadline. If you are a person, that has to work, in a car accident at 3:45 PM on the way there, or other, YOU'RE GOING TO LOSE OUT. Don't pass go, no return to start, whatever. 6. NO HUMAN ASPECT. Shyt happens I get it. She had the nerve to say to me 'I'm sorry you feel that way' about my issue with the policies. AND I SAID TO HER NO DON'T APOLOGIZE, BECAUSE YOUR POLICIES DIDN'T CARE nor leave room for mitigating these issues. I'M MORE CONCERNED WITH THE FACT, THAT THE BUSINESS THINKS THAT THIS IS OK. You took my money, regardless of fault, I called the emergency line that never called me back to even try to rectify the issue. Hell could have laid the glasses outside the door. There was no room to mitigate 'the what ifs'. So on that note, this was first time with them having a small fundraiser function for CEOs in Baltimore city for a very important. Employee Karen Aguirre who works for this company has awful customer service, very short in emails and then called and was short and rude and then after going back and forth stated you can't get an item it was reserved. I cancelled entire order. We are a mid-size realty company who strives to have excellent customer service and I was very shocked that this company that sent a very professional quote would have someone handling quotes/new rentals with such a short and disgruntle disposition. read more

Recently hosted a nonprofit event in Locust Point, Baltimore. ABC provided tents, tables, and other equipment necessary to put together the best possible event. Set-up prior to the event and breakdown immediately following the event were done expediently (I called to see if they could come sooner than our agreed-upon breakdown time, as our event ended sooner than we thought it would - they had a crew out to pick everything up within 15 minutes!), and the crew could not have more courteous and professional.
