EIGHT DAYS WITH NO AC This is the worst company!! Over eight days spoke with TWELVE operators, two supervisors .. a third never called back. Over the same time period, six technicians came to "fix" plus two other techs weeks before. Each time technician came out and "part swapped" to trouble shoot problem. I have a ten year parts five year labor warranty. the company already has my $6,000.00 paid in full I'm not a priority. Full breach of warranty.. the unit is less than three years old... Over the course of eight days, new disconnect panel, condenser breaker, capacitor switch , and not one but TWO compressors installed. That's a total of three compressors installed since time of purchase. I have serious health problems and take medications.. my health and pets health deteriorated in the 103 degree heat index outside with 85 degrees inside ( only because I had five fans) STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY My air conditioning unit stopped working, and I contacted this company to assess the issue. They arrived on time the same day and provided an overview of the necessary repairs and replacements. I agreed to proceed, and since multiple components needed to be replaced, they also ran my credit to set up financing. I was then scheduled for an appointment the following day at 12:00 PM to complete the repairs. Unfortunately, the appointment time came and went with no arrival or communication. By 1:00 PM, I contacted the company and was told I was next on the list and would receive a call shortly. After waiting another two hours with no updates, I called again and was given the same response. By 4:30 PM, I still had not heard from anyone and contacted the company once more. At that point, I was informed that the original technician was no longer coming and that another technician would be dispatched instead. By 6:30 PM, I still had received no call or update. When I reached out again, I was told someone would contact me within the next hour, as it was already nearing 7:00 PM. When I finally received a call, I was informed that the technician would not be coming after all because the required parts were at a store that had already closed. As a result, I was rescheduled for the first appointment the following morning. In summary, I waited almost an entire day with no service provided and received nothing but conflicting information and repeated delays. We had tankless water heater and water filtration system installed between December 2025 and January 2026. We have requested the need of permit which we were told is done electronically. We are still waiting. My husband has spoken to several people from customer service, customer experience to supervisor in permit dept. All we get is a runaround and excuses. Not sure what is going on with this company. They also promise to call you back which they never do. They got our money, not cheap,for the products and now can't be bothered with you. Had a new gas water heater installed and although required by state law, they did not pull a permit to install it. It's been 5 years and I'm still fighting it. SECOND, At NO TIME did the tech explain the estimate was a flat rate whether he performed the work or not. The estimate was to do Option A and then only move on to Option B if Option A did not work. He never said I will be invoiced for both options even if he didn't have to do them both. Who in their right mind would even agree to something like that? I believe I was purposely misled in the whole process. Maybe because I was a woman alone or because I spoke Spanish or just because it's your regular practice to do so. They sent a technician to our home to give us an estimate. They gave me a quote for just over $18,000.00 to replace all of our ductwork. They explained that most of our duct work in our 90 year old home was shot. I agreed to have them replace the duct work. Low and behold when the installation crew arrived they only replaced a few ducts stating most of our duct work looked to be fine. Now I am in a battle to get my money back as I had to hire Air 24/7 to review and replace their shabby work. I ended up working with Air 24/7 to eventually replace my air handler and compressor. I called for an estimate to install a hybrid hot water heater - replacing the existing hot water heater which was still working. Instead of giving me an estimate - or even a guesstimate, their process is to charge you for a plumber SERVICE CALL where a plumber comes out and evaluates the situation to give you an estimate. Now reading YELP online, it appears they use flat service charging so why couldn't they tell me that price? Anyway, the primary reason for a 1 star negative review is that when I told the office rep I would not pay for a service call just to get an estimate, she hung up on me right in the middle of a sentence. When presented with a coupon for $2500 off a new hvac system the salesman immediately said the coupon expired in February when in fact it is good through March. Eventually he honored the coupon but not without telling us that if he knew there was an active coupon he would have used the "other" price list and charged $2000 more, making the coupon worth $500. After the install it was like pulling teeth to join their "priority club," to the point where I complained to a manager and was offered a $100 gift card THAT NEVER CAME. They failed to show up (or call) for a scheduled maintenance appointment. I was told that they were "trying" to find a technician to come out. SO, they make appointments with you and don't bother assigning them to their workers. I demanded a manager and was hung up on. I called back and as if by magic, managers were "in a meeting" and was told one would call me back: NONE DID. When I finally got a manager, the next day, he told me that "emergency" calls kept them from honoring their appointment. He told me that my "routine maintenance" was not a priority, despite priority scheduling being a "club" benefit. So pre-paying for maintenance, waiting around all day, getting no service is how they "consider it done." I told that manager that he was to cancel my club membership and refund the money charged (one month's payment, as I had just joined). He stated that he could cancel the membership but did not believe refunds were given. I had to tell him that failing to keep an appointment amounted to violating their contract and if they didn't refund my money I would report them for credit card fraud and file a complaint with the state attorney general. I got an email saying the membership was cancelled and "no future" charges would be made. Again I had to tell them that unless they immediately refunded my money I would file fraud complaints. With no further response, they did credit my card: the ONLY thing they did right. These people claim to be "family" owned, but in reality they are a national conglomerate with offices in all states. One family might control everything but they are not a "family owned and operated" business. They are just another BS ripoff hvac/plumbing company. You should still look for their $2500 off coupons and make them honor them if you need a new system. After that you can use ANY company if you need warranty work done. read more

We had told them we have foster pets, our own, I'm a Behavior Analyst who had to cancel my appts to get this resolved so it's affecting my patients/clients as well. Called for the $49 cleaning special. They sent a sales man to look over the system and take pics. Once done Tomcek (sales person) met with owners to tell them they needed a new AC system. After some back and forth owners agreed. Tomcek made several promises which did not come through. It was obvious Tomcek was sent to make a sale. Installers arrived and determined a few issues so they sent Edgar (manager and quality control) to resolve issues. He is another promise person but did not come through (still waiting on floor linoleum tiles to replace damaged ones from moving appliances and a legal document promising a third year of service because of the problems). Installers were good but not careful. Things would have gone better if Tomcek had met with Installers before installation began. Communication needs to be improved with this company. Get everything in writing before the job begins. Don't sign off on the completion of the project until all promises have been met. I sent a review to Bryan (owner) at ABC but got no response. Whatever you're thinking...whatever you've been told...whatever the tv ads say...do not do business with this company. My personal experience with them has been one of the worst in my life. It all began in mid-January 2025 when the unit in our condo went out. Because it was an old unit, I decided to purchase a new one. Several days later, I'm guessing 7-10 days, a guy came out to install the new unit. It's now late January! After a tech spent two days installing the unit and it ran for a day or two, I noticed a large stain in the ceiling tile. I immediately contacted the number on my contract...the number is to a call center in Illinois...Arlington Heights, near Chicago, to be exact! Here, I was told that the situation would be relayed to a tech for a follow-up. 24-48 hours later, I got response...someone will be out in a few days! Over the next several weeks, no less than 4 guys at different times came out to attempt to diagnose the issue. It's now (probably) mid/late February. For the next few weeks (it may have been 7-10 days), there was an attempt to find the problem, including checking the drain line, etc. Finally, an answer to the problem: the unit was not installed correctly (wrong pitch). Another tech came out (within a week or so, I 'll have to check my emails) and decided to drill a new drain hole in the drain pan because water was filling up in the pan, overflowing, and leaking onto the ceiling tile. It's now early/mid March. After researching where the (local) office is located...11701 S. Belcher Rd, Suite 121, Largo, FL, 33773)...I went and spoke to the manager. After several minutes of him listening to my story and him acting as if he knew nothing about this, it was decided a whole new unit had to be ordered. The unit was damaged beyond repair. A new unit was ordered and that took another 10-14 days since it was coming from Dallas, Texas. I'm guessing it's now mid-March...possibly later. When the new unit arrived, it took less than 4 hours to install. But wait, there's a new stain in the ceiling tile after the unit had run but a day or two. Diagnosis: the pitch is off. A few days later, a tech comes out and fixes the problem. What's left is simple: have it inspected to pass code. After getting on the inspector's schedule...March is past and it's now April...the inspector has issues with things. I'm told the results will be posted on the county's portal, and it will be up to ABC to contact the inspector's office to set up a time when both a rep. from ABC and an inspector can come to our place. As of today, three months later, late April, I'm still waiting for the company to arrange for the county to come and conduct a final (joint) inspection. You read correctly. It's not been three days or even three weeks since this all began. It's been three months! And during that time, contacting the phone number on the contract did little good! It looks as though it's going to take a second visit to the local ABC office to get things moving. Wish me luck. I'm hoping to have things settled...hopefully by the 4th of July! read more

The company never calls me for my pre-paid A/C maintenance servicing for their plan for two services per year. And then when I call them to make an appointment, they make me wait for weeks for someone to come. And then when someone is scheduled to come, they call me late that day to reschedule it! Absolutely terrible service. Update one week later: They are at it again. The Tampa ABC office does not know how to schedule their appointments for A/C maintenance service. Constantly postponing pre-paid service appointments that I have to call to schedule, where they should be calling me to schedule. And when you call for an appointment, you may have to wait for weeks. And then, after spending all day waiting for them, they call late in the day and say they can't make it. And then for the re-scheduled appointment, they don't show up again! Extremely poor service, unreliable, not professional, not responsive. The signs of a poorly run business. I don't have any issues with the sales, installation, or actual maintenance service performed. But getting them to schedule their twice yearly pre-paid service appointments and actually show up, leaves much to be desired. read more

They guaranteed me that getting both an outdoor unit with my indoor would be better but it only left me out $10K and a hundred headaches. They have been out to my residence 10 times so far. My mother was given an estimate IF the main water had to be shut off by the city, which it did not! He charged her as if it was much more complicated than the actually work he did - to simply replace a valve. The nationwide average for this type of part + labor is $200-300 max! From what I can tell, their "fixed pricing" is nothing more than a scam that probably many seniors and those people that are afraid to challenge companies like this have been ripped off by. Here is the synopsis... Had a shower that needed a new valve. Wouldn't turn on anymore, so since we needed that replaced, I had gone out and purchased a new setup which included tub faucet and shower head. I paid $59 for the tech to de a diagnostic. He concluded from the "book" that all the techs have that this would be the charge Rebuild and furnish cartage - $411 From porch.com To replace a shower cartridge, it may cost as low as $65 to as high as $220, on average. If you need to replace the entire faucet including the entire valve, the trim, and new handles, prepare to pay more. $531 for labor which the tech admitted would be less than an hour of work. From Home Advisor How Much Do Plumbers Charge? Most charge an hourly rate between $45 to $200 per hour. Most licensed professionals run anywhere from $80 to $130 $942 total...for what would be about an hour job Even better...they could save you money by joining a "club". I didn't bother to get that pricing. I have attached the quote, their bill and the plumber's bill of who ultimately did the service three hours later... For $230!!! I saved $712 by realizing I was being scammed. Even if I am not able to get back the $59 scam...I mean diagnostic fee from ABC, I did myself a service. Seriously, WTF is wrong with this company. 6 months ago my AC unit went out and these sheisters overcharged me by literally $1000's on my replacement. Fast forward 6 months, the new unit isn't blowing any heat. It's in the low 40s in Florida for the next few days, the coldest it's been this time of year in almost 4 decades. I called them this morning at 9:09AM and told them I needed it serviced as soon as possible because the temperature in my home were approaching 60 degrees. A representative called me back at 12:57PM and told me that when a technician was en route that I'd get a call or text 30-45 minutes before his/her arrival. At 6:48PM I received that text, at the time I was out with my family, so I had to return home a wait for the technician to arrive. It's now 11:02PM and I've called them 2 additional times at a little more than 1 hour intervals and still haven't either received a text or call from any technician. It's so cold in my home that I had to send my wife and daughter with special needs to a friend's house for the night on Christmas (F*cking) Eve. It's 58 degrees and only getting colder in my house and around 42 outside. I'm sure that if it was an employees or the owners home system that wasn't working properly that it would have been fixed as a priority, but because my issue is only warranty work I feel I'm being pushed to the end of the line. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Had my AC and heating pump system installed back in December. Ever since it was installed I've had issues. I waited until now to right this review because I was hoping this company would rectify the issues I've had. First the heating pump kept activating the emergency shut off inside of the unit. I kept calling and having people come out - which btw they don't give you a time frame so you legit have to wait ALLLLL day. Whenever someone different would come out (I've had to have someone come out 5-6 times for this issue) I was told something different each time. I was also stood up a few times after waiting an entire day with no one even bothering to let me know that no one was coming even though an appointment was scheduled. It's summer now so I can't tell you if the heat is working even though they "figured out the issue" Now it's summer and the AC unit can't even keep my house cool. During the day it won't go below 77 degrees!!! This AC unit is a dud and was so overpriced. For the money I could have gotten two units and then maybe my house would be cool during these summer days. Then let's talk about the permit inspection that was required... why a permit was needed is beyond me but either way I schedule my inspection and low and behold NO ONE SHOWED UP!!! I reached out several times only to find out they scheduled it after the permit was CLOSED!!! To top it off I waited all day - another missed day at work - and no response or heads up no one was coming. I only found out the next day after sending several texts. I was also told by some named Temple I would be sent some gift cards for this entire inconvenience. Haha go figure 6 months later no gift cards were received. This company is a joke. I should have read the reviews closer!! I noticed in the reviews others had the same issues!!! I literally have no idea what to do anymore. This was supposed to be a fun new exciting upgrade to my home!!! My first big upgrade and I'm now regretting the whole thing. You'd think if you are selling AC units for $10k you'd make sure they work and are top of the line. The first time I called them, they lost my appointment. They rescheduled for the next day. Replaced capacitor in outside HVAC unit. I paid them $47 to become a "member". With some perks. The next time I called them was to swap out a kitchen faucet. The plumber was inexperienced. For some odd reason, he disconnected the hot water connection to the dishwasher. Cold water ran out. He asked if I used cold water to do my dishes!! To swap out the faucets, it took two hours (!), and with the discount I was charged $500!!!! Their prices are outrageous even for those of us who paid the $47 to be a "member". Today (June 23, 2022) I called because I needed two outside faucets replaced. The representative sounded like she was calling from Mars. The connection kept breaking up. After more than eight minutes of giving my information so she could verify my account, I asked to talk to her supervisor. There was no supervisor on duty!! C'mon. Any time a business is open there has to be a supervisor. This is NOT a local business. When you call their toll free number, you get some kind of national answering service. They send you a profile with pictures on your technician ahead of time so you can feel confident letting them in. Needed a needed a new toilet installed for my home and relied upon "2021 Pinellas County Florida Five Star Rated" by Home Services Review for a vetted plumber. ABC was among the list of recommended plumbers in the area. I'm not sure who vetted them, but they are unethical. Plumber came to my house and offered me multiple options, all of which were very expensive. We agreed upon ABC installing a specific toilet that it would provide for $1,035. (This was the discounted price!) The installation was to take place the next day. The plumber didn't arrive, nor did he call, the next day. I called ABC and they did nothing. The plumber didn't arrive the next day, or the day after. It took FIVE DAYS for the plumber to arrive with NO TOILET. At this point, my family and I were desperate to solve this issue. ABC and I verbally agreed that I would purchase a toilet for the plumber to install. Plumber finally arrived, installed the toilet and told me after the installation that the adjusted price would be $677. This was not an agreed upon price; it was adjusted based on what ABC thought was appropriate. This was not on the contract. And what ABC charges is not in line with what multiple other plumbers (including Lowe's toilet installation) have quoted me. ABC is predatory. They prey on seniors who rely on vetted services from Home Services Review. I put my trust in ABC. I made them my plumber, with full intention to be loyal. They have good people. But the company model just sucks. My garbage disposer began to leak after 8 years, and since I was battling walking pneumonia, I thought it best to call in the experts. Another great guy shows up for the $59 service call (which is fine, because it's discounted from the bill, if you move forward. But for that $59 dollars I was given a choice of 2 (and only 2) disposers. Option 1 was OVER FOURTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS! Option 2 was TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Know how many Insinkerator Badgers you can buy for $1200? At least TEN. Yes, says the guy--but those have a lotta plastic parts. Yes, I say--adding that those plastic parts lasted EIGHT YEARS! So ABC Plumbing charged me 60 bucks for two ridiculous, insane and obscene choices. I hobbled into a big box hardware store, bought a new (and better) Badger for UNDER $150 bucks, and a friend will now install it at no charge. Goodbye ABC. I barely knew ye. I did not have a good experience at all with this company. They told me they would be out quickly and it's been over a week with no callbacks or follow through. Maybe they're very busy, but I would go with Cool Today or Frank Gay as they did a much better job for me and came out the next day. Also avoid America Air and Heating as they're also too busy for me. read more

Call ABC and it's done.That is their commerical i.p.o on tv. It should say call ABC and it's done wrong. My house could have burned down. The wiring was a all wrong.Advice always pay with a charge card. We got our $ back. ABC never came to pick up the junk they put in. The first time I had service the guy had to leave to get a screw from the warehouse. He was gone for about half an hour. When I complained they sent me a $50 gift card. I had an emergency and call them out again. I explained that my dishwasher was not draining. The woman took half an hour to put together a request because she didn't know how to use the software. And she finally got my reservation I waited for the plumber. When he got here he told me that they don't work on dishwashers. At least he was able to drain the dishwasher of the built-up water. I just happen to speak to another company for a refrigerator repair I mentioned would they also look into the dishwasher issue. The woman for that company told me that if I had a disposer install it could be blocking because the installer forgot to remove something. I immediately called ABC to come back and check out the configuration of the disposer. I waited for hours for what could've been a 10 minute visit. They never came. I made an appointment for the next day for the same time after 3 PM and again they never came. I will never use this service again read more
