From our first phone call this company was extraordinary. We called a few companies but this company had a great staff answering all of our questions. We were able to quickly schedule an appointment for an estimator to come survey our home. He too was very knowledgeable and professional. He had our estimate to us very quickly. We booked the reservation with yet another person, also very courteous and helpful. We had to move everything into storage for six months so we waited to write this review until we had the second leg completed and all of our stuff back. I had a team of six men and three trucks each day. They protected our home so thoroughly and swiftly. They started with a walk through consultation to make certain they did what we expected. They really knocked it out of the park. I was impressed with how fast they were and how happy they were to help. They were all so nice and attentive to every request we had, all while keeping a great pace. My move was actually done much faster than my estimate which made the final bill lower than expected saving me a fair amount of money. Every month they took the storage payments automatically making everything very easy. Upon delivery of our stuff, the crew again was very energetic and on point. We were indecisive about where we wanted things and we had a lot of stuff, expensive stuff that we didn't want to get damaged. You could tell they've done this before, these guys have talent . They maneuvered heavy furniture up and down stairs and did it with such ease and strategy. Our Grand piano was a major worry and their csr informed us that they moved pianos for Lacefield music and not to worry. They didn't even charge extra for the piano. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! First let me start by saying that the movers (the guys) were good guys, but the business as a whole is a JOKE! When they quoted my move, it was almost double the estimate. I was very specifice as to the type of house I was moving from and to, as well as the contents. They quoted the move, stating that it should take 6-7 hours with an estimated range of $6xx - $8xx. WELL....over 11 hours later, it not fitting all in one truck, leaving contents at my old house, breaking things, scratching furniture, oiling up and scratching newly painted walls - all to the tune of $1,400! AND, when I called to speak to someone during the move, I was promised a call back, which never happened, but Christina did find the time to call her movers to yell at them to tell them they are not working hard enough or fast enough. Wow, what a motivating manager she is, and don't get me started on her Customer Service skills, as the do not exist.! When I called the next day to speak to a manager or an owner, you can't get past the gate keeper Christina - imagine that. Still....tried to work it out with her. She said she would send someone out - didn't happen. Said she would speak with me on the Monday of the next week - didn't happen. Finally received a call on Wednesday, which went to my VM because I was in a meeting, only for her to state that they will not honor any damage to anything, but I can call her if I have any questions. NO THANKS! So, unless you want a miserable moving experience that will damage and lose parts to your furniture, scratch up your walls, and leave you incredibly frustrated after speaking with an unprofessional HAG, then save yourself the headache, and the extra errands to Lowe's to fix everything and call someone else! read more

We had Leshorn, Walt, Jake D and Zach help us move from our our one-bedroom apartment into our first home in Webster Groves and unload a moving van full of stuff from a storage unit. They were quick, punctual, professional and courteous. Everything made the move in one piece, including several very expensive pieces of wood furniture that they took extra special care with once we pointed them out. They worked their butts off on a hot day and tried everything we asked them to try, even if it meant getting stuck and having to come back down the narrow, 90-year-old stairwell with a heavy desk. There were a lot of little extra touches that made the experience particularly memorable. They pointed out every bit of damage on our furniture before moving it so we knew it was there and wouldn't hold them accountable. They did a walk through of the house with us afterwards, so we could make sure that everything was done to our satisfaction and there was nothing else that needed moving. They politely disengaged with our crazy neighbor, who kept trying to chat with them, and turned down his offers of free beer because they were on the job. Finally, the oldest of them (I can't recall what his name was) gave us some great advice on how to fit things into rooms and up and down stairs, including a queen bed frame that was never going to make it to the second floor ("you hate to do it, but if I were you, I'd just cut it straight down the middle, fold it in half like a taco, bring it up and put it back together in the room." And yes, I did it one weekend and it worked! None of the people who have slept on it could tell until I pointed it out!). True professionals, would definitely hire again. read more

Jan 2021 There are so many horror stories about movers. Selection of a mover is, at best, a somewhat informed *********. I am here to tell you that ABC Quality Moving in St. Louis MO is fantastic. After all of the horror stories of companies changing their prices and damaging property, I found a diamond. ABC Quality Moving in St Louis, in the form of supervisor Kevin W, Bradley, Dave W, Tyler and Walt, are amazing. They showed up to my home with extra help that I didn't need to pay for. I paid for a four-man crew and 5 people showed up, and they were fantastic. They moved some of the heaviest furniture known to man and did so with a smile on their face. While the office personnel (Debbie) was annoyingly honest, and she said they could not guarantee a price because they can't guarantee how much time it will take. While all that worried me, it should not have. It was spot on the price that they quoted me. Sje put up with my phone calls, fretting and OCD like perseverance of the selection process. The price was not the cheapest one I found in town, but it was good. It is the quote I felt the most comfortable with. Ask for Debbie and she will shot you straight. Tell her John P. told you to call. The team of Kevin W, Bradley, Walt, Dave W and Tyler were amazing. They were fast, did not dilly-dally, wrapped and protected everything. They gave me a sense of ease from the moment they arrived. I bought pizza for lunch and they went off the clock while they ate. I could not have asked for a better team. We called ABC based on their reviews on a few different sites and we are sure glad we did! Our first call was to get an understanding of their process. The young woman was very knowledgeable and spent a fair amount of time explaining how everything worked. She set us up for a surveyor to come out and take a look. We got the estimate the very next day and call to set up everything. They packed, stored and moved for us locally. They stored our belongings for 30 days and moved us to our new location. They were accurate in their bid, consistent in their customer service and on -time and ready to work on packing and moving days. We were quoted a range of approximately $3000.00 - $3800.00. We were moving from 5000 Sq ft home to a 1900 Sq ft home. During the home estimate - it was thought that we would need 3 trucks, 6 men and all day. He was right! Our bid actually came in slightly less that he had thought. As moves go (and we have done many) it was uneventful - the best type of move! They were cautious and careful with our furniture/boxes. They were very good at packing things into the truck - using the space wisely. Each one of them was professional and courteous. They were willing to take many items to the basement for storage. It was clear that each one of them wanted to do a good job. My husband and I were avaliable all day - which was important. Helping with some boxes/items and being clear where everything were to go, helped limit the time. We bought them lunch, had cold water avaliable and tipped them for a job well done. All in all, we had a great experience with ABC Moving and would recommend them to family and friends. read more

Been meaning to write this review for a while. ABC Moving, specifically Walter and Ian, did just a fantastic job moving me in late September. Given the agreed upon arrival time window, they arrived at the specific time I requested. I had requested 3 movers, but with only Walter and Ian, they adjusted the hourly rate appropriately, no questions asked. As to the specifics, they loaded a two bedroom apartment into an 22 foot Penkse moving van for a cross-country move. The apartment was in one of the Skinker Blvd. apartment buildings, so there was the logistical hassle of first getting and taking control of the service elevator, moving stuff from the apartment to the single elevator, into the elevator, down the elevator, and from the elevator out the side of the building to the van. Furthermore, the apartment building gave us a fixed window and hard deadline to complete the move and relinquish the moving van's parking spot. Given this tremendous overhead, Walter and Ian worked very hard, very fast, and very steadily for 5 hours straight with almost no breaks whatsoever. Walter has been a mover for decades and is literally a Jedi Knight when it comes to loading a truck. As they seem to say in the industry, it is a game of Tetris, and Walter is the expert. I will say that I was 99% boxed to begin with, but Walter expertly arranged boxes and blanketed furniture within the van. As a result, 48 hours and 1,200 interstate miles later when the truck was unloaded, *everything*, boxes and furniture, came out almost perfectly intact. I'd use ABC Moving again in a heartbeat, asking for Walter and Ian. read more

ABC MOVING has been the best moving experience we've ever had. We have never seen a moving company that wrapped every piece individually of our personal belongings. Although we want to say it's the Moving TEAM that makes a company. We have never seen such cooperation patience and hard working individuals. They protected our flooring our stairwells and our furniture and went above and beyond any moving company we've ever seen. Not only did they have the best rate but their movers exceeded our expectations. Our team was the very best!!!!!!! The team included Justin, Craig, Tony and Eddie and we can't say enough about each one of them. It took 2 full moving trucks and they worked constantly. We have had other moving companies that work so slow and take so many breaks and on their cell phones constantly. They rearranged and kept moving items where we needed. Our basement looked better in the home we moved into the way they organized all of our boxes . We have never seen such a hard working team and not only that but with such great attitudes. We moved to our new home on March 3, 2016. I was so impressed with ABC Quality Moving Company from start to finish. My husband set up the time two weeks in advance and was quickly able to get a quote and set up a time and day for moving. We received a call the day before to verify the time that the movers would be out. On moving day, the movers arrived promptly and did a walkthrough of the house to see what needed to be moved in each room. They then grabbed blankets and runners to put down on the floor to help with keeping the house clean. Greg, Tarrus, and Kevin were so friendly, very professional, and careful with our belongings throughout the entire move. Everything was handled with such great care and all of our belongings made it to the new house in perfect shape! Fragile items were wrapped in moving blankets and carefully placed on the truck, tall shelves were wrapped in plastic wrap so that the shelving and drawers would stay in place and corners would not be damaged, and everything was carefully removed through doorways. They took apart tables, beds, sofas, and chairs and then reassembled them as soon as they were put in their new places in our new home. They were so quick to get everything completed. I am so happy that we worked with ABC Quality Moving Company for our move and that Greg, Tarrus, and Kevin were the movers to help us! This was the second time my wife and I used ABC Quality Moving LLC for our personal move. We were fortunate to get most of the save movers. Kevin, Walt, Greg and Travis S. are professional movers. They take the stress out of moving. They offer excellent advice, they tolerated my wife and my in-decisions by offering their expertise in a very courteous manner. I just wanted to say thank you ABC Quality Moving & Storage for the great service that your company provided for us. Your two men Tarrus and Leshorn arrived promptly and worked tirelessly moving our personal goods into our new home. They were very professional, polite and pleasant all day long and never complained when my wife requested they move the furniture to another location in the house because she had changed her mind. They were very careful and protected our hardwood floors, door jams and walls from any damage. They reassembled tables, beds, and desks with out the advantage of any instructions. We have moved twice in 4 months. The first move was a double move into a ware house and then the rest into a loft. We were not sure how long we would be there. 4 months later we found the perfect home. Our loft manager recommended ABC Quality Movers as we were not thrilled with our first movers. They were just ok and the cost was just shy of $5000.00 for both moves, ouch! ABC Quality Movers were way less expensive our lead man Duane and his right had man Dan were awesome. Our third guy had a injury during the delivery side of things. (These things happen). The company adjusted our rate Duane and Dan stepped up their pace even more didn't damage a thing and moved things around for us made sure everything was exactly as we wanted it. These men had a great attitude all day knew what they were doing and were just all around pleasant hardworking men! Thank you to the company and thank you ever so much Duane and Dan and I hope your third man is ok. I know he was in pain. Wish I had thought to take some pictures. i used abc quality moving last monday 10/15/18. the team of KEVIN & WALT handled my move. wow ! these two guys did a fantastic job and when i called them a team i mean they were a team. i watched the entire move and they were going back and forth with one man items and then whenever it was time for two man items they did not look at each other or say anything they both just kind of moved in on the big items picked up and started to carry automatically. that told me these guys KNOW MOVING ! they were consistant and kept the moving going until the very last piece was in place, they did not take any smoke breaks, no cell phone talking and a smile on their face at all times. this is the 4th time i have used abc movers and i have always been happy with all of the teams as well as the girls in the scheduling office. there is a reason ABC has QUALITY in the middle of their name, IT IS BECAUSE YOU GET OUTSTANDING "QUALITY" MOVING ! over the years i have moved in and out of 5 states several times and used a bunch of different movers so i am very well qualified to state this review above. my name is BILL and i wrote and approved all of the above. read more

We scheduled a move with ABC Moving 2 months in advance to pick up from 2 locations in town and to deliver to our new house which is also in town. They called a week before the moving date to confirm we were still planning on moving and then again the day before to confirm our appointment, which was reassuring. Ryan, Jake, and Brandon did a fantastic job. They were fast and organized. Every piece of furniture that went onto their truck was wrapped in a blanket and strapped down. If you've ever moved anything heavy before with 2 or more people, you know how difficult it can be to maneuver. They moved huge and heavy pieces of furniture with great speed and precision. We had multiple large pieces which were being moved into our new basement, and after having discussed my concern about the possibility of the piece not being able to fit, I was met with a reassuring "Don't worry, we'll get it down there". Nothing stood in their way; they removed doors, took furniture apart (without breaking it), and carried pieces at all angles. I've used ABC for two moves of family estates that I am dealing with. Both moves involved picking up and dropping off furniture at FOUR locations. Ron was my contact at the office - the process for booking is easy - they called before arrival and met their arrival commitments. The pricing is upfront and simple to understand. Mike and Billy did the moving on the first job; Mike and Ryan did the work on the most recent move. Never an idle moment on the job and flexible, as far as some last minute changes that I made in the original plan. They did an exceptional job. The last move involved a very expensive dining room table and credenza. Obviously, customer satisfaction is very dependent on the care of the guys doing the work. After the first move I knew I would use ABC for the second. As a side note, I had a hard deadline to complete both moves. I emailed the plan for the first move to another top rated mover. Their office didn't seem to understand. After three phone calls I gave up and called Ron at ABC. read more

After moving from Boston to Saint Louis, which was stressful enough with the movers that loaded the trailer, Dan B, Walt and Christian helped relieve any anxiety that I had when I witnessed how professional they all were with the packaging, unloading and setting up at the house. They arrived on time at ABS freight to unload the trailer and repack to their a truck, taking pictures of any damage caused by the terrible packing and loading by the company in Boston. They used blankets to cover the furniture and strategically packed the truck so well like a jigsaw puzzle being put together. They were very careful with all of the furniture. They worked at a steady pace and did not waste any time. These guys are experienced, hardworking and know what they are doing.. I moved from St Peters Missouri yesterday (September 17th, 2020) to St Louis County and everything went very very smooth! I had to move a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment and I must say, there is no way I could have received a better moving 3 man crew! Joe, Craig and Dave W. moved everything quickly, efficiently and gave great care to all my furniture and belongings. Back in November we had Greg, Tarus, and Xavier move us. This review is a few months late but I still had to write it because I can't even put in to words how great these guys were. My roommate and I moved into an apartment that turned out to be a disaster and we had to move out after just a few months. As we were moving out, not only did one of the movers get stuck in the elevator and have to get pried out by the fire department within the 1st hour, but the elevator was broken thereafter and they had to move all of our stuff down 4 flights of stairs! It was AWFUL. But not ONCE did I hear any kind of complaint from them. They had such an amazing attitude and were very pleasant throughout the whole move. They still moved us so quickly and efficiently, we were extremely impressed. All of our stuff arrived in the new apartment without a scratch and they were so great with placing the furniture where we wanted it. I had THE BEST experience with ABC and the moving crew that came to Washington MO. The office staff was great with booking the time and date, and the crew called me about 10 minutes before they got to my storage shed where all of my stuff was stored to let me know they were close. They showed up completely prepared with a huge box truck and plenty dollies, and plenty of blankets for padding all of my furniture. This was a three man crew that consisted of KEVIN, TIM, & DAVE. They were absolutely amazing! They took such care with all of my stuff. They were extremely quick and efficient. They moved my entire house and still had time to spare so they were nice enough to follow me to another location that I had additional stuff stored and they loaded all that and unloaded it at my new house.
