In a few words, Abe is basically traditional Filipino food done simple but well. You won't find a lot of twists on classic Filipino food, because they don't need those twists to do their food well; they just make you fall in love with the old, undying taste of unadulterated classic Filipino. They don't rely on grease, margarine, or a lot of presentation to wow you; the wow begins at your first spoonful. They have almost everything that every respectable Filipino restaurant would have, so do expect your classic Kare-Kare and Adobo. However, for me, the most memorable of all (aside from the unlimited rice, of course) is the Binagoongang Baboy. You don't see a lot of impressive visuals when it comes to your table, but when you have your first bite, you know that it was kept at the bare minimum using the most appropriate and freshest ingredients, from the pork, to the specific type of bagoong.
