Both drives were the nicest people, they went above and beyond from the time they arrived. I was very thankful that they were able to drive me home so I wasn't stuck on the side of the road. My family and I took a last minute road trip on the Fourth of July weekend to visit family. On the way home, traveling on the PA turnpike, our car had a tire blowout. It was a terrifying moment. I was in the car with my infant son, our two dogs, and my boyfriend. We didn't have a spare (dumb, yes I know) and an Abel Bros tow truck was dispatched to pick us up. Our driver was wonderful. He installed our son's car seat in his truck and began to drive my whole crew home. I was so relieved that we were all safe and no one had been hurt. A few minutes into the ride we were informed that Abel Bros dispatch was instructing our driver to take us as far as the next exit and leave us because they were "busy". So, I along with my tiny infant son, two dogs and a broken down car were dumped in a parking lot, in a strange place, in the dark. No other tow trucks that had enough room for all of us were available. We were stranded there for hours. I offered to pay for them to not leave us. I would have paid any amount of money. Still, we were left there. I was horrified, scared and couldn't believe that someone would leave me with my child in such a vulnerable and unsafe position. Abel brothers is VERY fortunate that we were able to get home safely. This wasn't normal protocol, this was a money grab. They left us there because they could accept more jobs and make more money if we were left behind. They abandoned me with an infant in a dark parking lot far from home. They were made aware that this was the situation and they didn't care. If you can avoid using this company, please do so. I have also written to the turnpike commission and asked that they no longer be used for service on that highway. read more

I was in a car accident recently and Abel Brothers Towing was the company that took my car. The next day I had to go there to release my car to the insurance company. I still was in shock from the accident, but the guys were super nice and helpful. When I got there they knew immediately who I was & they were also pretty organized. It's not the easiest place to find, but I called before I went & Drew gave me pretty good directions. I was traveling through PA in a rental car when a sheet of metal flew off a truck in front of me and destroyed two of the tires on my vehicle. It was an incredibly stressful experience and the car rental company was not very helpful (after being on hold for 20 minutes, they told me they weren't able to assist me because I was on a turnpike). The police officer at the scene gave Abel Brothers a call and they came right away to help me out. Not only did Mr. Abel (I regretfully can't remember his first name) get me to the nearest rental location quickly, but he stuck around to help me deal with the rental company to get a new vehicle, and managed to bill them directly for the tow. While traveling to Ambler, PA my car broke down. I was referred to Abel Brothers towing. There was an accident on route 202 north so I was able to flag down a tow truck that responded to the accident. Scott tried to tow my car but couldn't. He stayed with me while I called a towing service. He parked his tow truck behind my vehicle. Then Able brothers came to pick me up. The driver explained to me that Abel had sent one of their trucks to respond to the accident and their driver was hit by a car and taken to the hospital with a broken leg. Also the tow truck driver paid for my tolls since I didn't have any cash. I highly recommend this company. read more

these guys responded to us within 20min of our call. they saved us so much time!! we got into an accident in Malvern around 645p and called Allstate. they dispatched Samantha's Towing (out of KOP) at 7p and were told they'd get to us at 830p!! we sat and waited until 830p rolled around and they still weren't there. we got a request for confirmation of service from Allstate and had to tell them no. Allstate called Samantha's Towing (and it went to voicemail bc we had already called them directly) and then my husband got a text from the Samantha's Towing driver saying they'd be another 15-20min! by this time it was 9p. we finally called the Abel Brothers, without Allstate's help and they arrived ahead of schedule. When the Abel's driver arrived, we told him the story. He was shocked and told us to go home and he'd take care of it all including dropping off and leaving the paperwork! I will say this that I felt belittled and taken advantage of. They don't get that the customer is always right not the type of customer service you would expect from a company that has been around this long .I hope they get these guys some training on how to solve conflicts. read more

I was having a difficult, stress filled day, made worse by the car accident. Mike from Abel came to my rescue! My car was hooked up quickly, he made certain that I got into his truck safely, and he even helped me complete the important errand I was on which had been delayed by the accident. Because waiting by a body shop might not have been too safe at that hour, Mike told the friend who was coming to pick me up where to wait in a safe location and then drove me there. He was positive, motivating, would not let me dwell on the bad things that had just happened but instead reminded me of all the potential good that could come from this. I am so very lucky that Mike was my tow truck driver...l have heard and witnessed horrible stories about tows, but he was a very careful driver and a pretty amazing, wonderful person! Driver was rude. He was angry because I was supposed to wave him down when his truck was in the lot to pick up my car. In reality, he looked like an idiot because the car was sitting in the middle of the lot and he was about 50ft away. He got ticked off at himself for being blind, and then took it out on the customer. I complained to the dispatcher who then talked to the driver and contacted me back. Dispatcher apologized, but the driver did not when he had the opportunity at the drop off destination. Look for another company. Breaking down is frustrating and you don't want to run into this jerk. read more

Who writes a positive review about a towing company? Me, that's who, especially when the company 1) answers the phone politely, 2) expresses concern that I would have to walk from my house to my stranded car, 3) then offers to pick me up at my front door and drive me to my stranded car (I don't want to set expectations that Abel Brothers always does a taxi service too - I am sure this is rare, I just happened to live very close and it was not out of their way to pick me up - but it was so wonderful that they offered it), 4) tells me all costs up front, 5) has a friendly and knowledgeable driver that stuck around after he jump-started my car, 'just in case", and 6) it's a good thing he did because turns out the battery was so low that the steering was locking up. If he had not stuck around to make sure everything was OK, I could have been stranded on 202 or even in an accident. Abel Brothers and especially Jim the driver were my heroes today, thank you! read more
