If you are going for mental health treatment only, I do not recommend as substance use is heavily the focus and you will be stigmatized when you leave from your medical records. I also reached out multiple times for resources from a specific clinician ( which was promised to me) and never got a response. This place says it's safe for transgender individuals but it is not at all. I was suffering from acute back problems and was not accommodated with sleeping arrangements I ended up sleeping on the bare bed frame and they tried to force me to sleep on the horrible mattress which lead to a worsening of my conditions. If you have chronic health problems, I would also not recommend. They will also send texts under the guise of checking in on how you are doing but they don't walk the talk (clearly) and it's just empty empathy as a marketing ploy .

Laura Derr is exactly that kind of doctor, and I consider myself extremely lucky that when I really needed someone to help me sort through some difficult stuff, about ten years ago, my search for "one of the good ones" eventually led me to her door. Since that first series of sessions with her, there have been a few times when life's twists and turns have led me back there, and always, the experience has been as good and as educational as ever (about my own inner workings, as well as some of those around me) and, as a result, I've been able to bounce back to normal far faster than I ever had, before working with her. She set her up against the family, when my daughter was suffering from severe anemia hence anxiety and we as a family were helping her cope with school . The worst case is I went out of network as they are in the same facility as the PCP so they could work together and solve the issue. Her medical issue caused ADHD type symptoms and this was in the intake form and no blood tests was done. I dont understand what her training entails. She told the PCP and yet between them, they did not do the test and when I read about iron issues and parents going to a therapist it states they should request a test. A huge red flag which impacted my daughters High School our family relationships. All of a sudden, billing practices were changed without any notice, transparency went down the hole, and correspondence with anyone other than the therapist did not exist. I was made to feel like I was obligated to attend sessions I attempted to cancel and charged fees pretty randomly. In fact, I'd say the office went as far as to exacerbate some of my issues by being clearly unsympathetic and focused primarily on making a dollar. My therapist was new to the practice, and quite understanding, but couldn't avoid the bureaucracy of the administration. Seemed like there wasn't much support from above. When it was time for me to end my relationship with Leeward, no attempt to communicate was made until I prompted confirmation.
