Ignore those other naysayers. Energy in this place rocks - hands down. And Tony does my Sense8 style triangle manicure exquisitely. The amount of compliments I got this last go around was quite high, not like I was seeking praise as I get my nails done interestingly to please myself as ascending out of the Matrix can be cumbersome at times. Love the easy breezy parking too. Anyone you get for a pedicure will be excellent - male or female. They are all kind and sweet. I personally recommend adding on extra massage time for both your pedicure and chair massage. Have you ever gone to a nail salon super excited to treat yourself, & then feel like crying out of frustration before they even take your existing polish off? Then this is the salon for you! Let me explain. I went in with an appointment for an acrylic fill, and then realized when I was in the chair that I had powder on top of my (very long) natural nails. The woman asked me if I wanted to trim my nails, to which I said yes thinking she would literally just trim them... but nope! She takes a nail clipper to the old, dried powder still on them, and they end up snapping off right at the nail bed. On my pointer finger, she ended up cutting the skin underneath my finger with the nail clipper (see photos). At that point I decided I no longer wanted acrylics, as my finger was now throbbing and lining with blood under the nail. Still, she had to use acrylic to make somewhat of a tip on the nail from where she cut it. Fast forward to when all of the powder is now soaked off, and she needs to remove a tip from one of my fingers. She takes an NYC metro card, and starts pushing it between my nail bed and the tip that is adhered to my nail. I ignore it and let her continue. Now we're at the shaping part. My original request was almond shaped, but now that my nails are cut down to nubs thanks to her, I had no option but to do square. They were not even long enough for coffin shape. Extremely angry at this point that my natural nails were now ruined, I wanted to get out of this place as soon as I could, so I could drive across the street to have them fixed by another nail salon. Please see below for the "final" product. I didn't know square shaping could be so challenging, but they even managed to mess that up and leave them uneven. It was not even worth mentioning at this point. I paid $35 for a gel manicure and $10 for them to remove my powder, and no, I didn't tip. While I'm annoyed I have to pay another nail salon to fix this mistake, I hope this steers at least a few people away from wasting their money here! They had used toe cotton sitting at the empty spot next to me from someone's pedicure too, that was a nice touch read more

Recently moved to the area and have been trying to find a local nail spa I like. This is conveniently located right next to Home Goods so there is ample parking, and I'm always around that area. The design inside is up-to-date and very clean. The atmosphere is calm and has nice finishes. The staff was kind and the person who did my powder gel was very gentle and precise with his work. I strayed away from the last place I went due to the nail tech being too rough so it was great to have a more relaxing experience. They had good color choices for the powder gel, and prices were fair. I also received an eyebrow wax, which was also quick and painless. Overall good work. I will be back! read more

DISGUSTING. I went for a pedicure and there were both dead and alive roaches and beetles in the pedicure tub of the chair closest to the door. The woman helping me was completely unphased by the bugs, and after she seated me in another chair I realized the disposable liner in the foot tub was not changed. It was wet, cold, and ripped. They are reusing disposable liners. Safe to say I left immediately and will never come back. Unhygienic, dangerous, and disgusting are understatements. read more

They asked her if she wanted this and wanted that, she said yes. Until she got the bill. They are not honest at all!! You can't offer upsells when they are kids and not knowing it's additional. After calling a bunch of other nail salons in the area to get a pedicure that all had over an hour wait I was happy when they told me they could take me right away. The inside was very clean and tidy and they have the plastic tub liners, which is always a plus. Olivia, who did my pedicure, was really nice and overall did a great job. For pedicure they have different options and different add on such as Callus remover etc. i did the basic pedicure for $27. I would say overall experience was like any other nail salon. read more

I used to love this place & would come here for mani pedi's consistently. I did take a break from getting my nails done for 2 months, and went back this past weekend - and had the worst experience and worst manicure probably that I had ever gotten. I got a regular pedicure and SNS manicure (the latter of which is supposed to last 2-3 weeks). I called ahead and made an appointment, and when I got there the place was not busy at all (3-4 other customers), 5-6 mail techs were working. The tech they had do my nails was terrible. Not only was she rude, but also cut me very badly on 4 nails so badly with the equipment that it took over 7 minutes for the bleeding to stop. I also normally have a pretty high threshold for pain, but this actually really hurt! Not only did she not apologize but when I asked for her to take a break until the bleeding stopped she got frustrated and didn't want to - she just wanted to get the job done. I asked politely, if she was comfortable doing the SNS manis and using the equipment, and if it was possible to have someone else finish the manicure because it was so painful and I didn't want to get cut more. Not only did she still not apologize at this point she was offended and so was her colleague and they refused to allow someone else to switch, and assured me it would be fine. At this point, there were 2 nail techs sitting around filing their own nails, not busy with customers. After me then insisting that we wait until my fingers stopped bleeding, she continued the manicure... without any apology for causing the injuries, did she also do the same thing to me on 2 toes when doing my manicure. Again, no apology. The manicure itself which is more expensive due to it being a gel equivalent is supposed to last longer - started chipping the SAME DAY. We are now 3 days post manicure, and I have 5 nails chipped so badly I will need to go get it taken off and redone. I'm not sure what happened with this place that o uses to frequent - but the quality of work has gone downhill as has the actual client service of the people who work there. Needless to say, Im disappointed because I did used to love this place, but will be finding another local salon to go to going forward. read more

BEST UV gel nails I have ever gotten! I will 100% be coming back for my fills. I am so happy I found a place that gives me exactly what I asked for. I showed them a photo off Pinterest and needless to say- they 100% delivered. They took their time and did NOT rush. They were very hospitable and welcoming. Normally I am very hesitant to try out new places, especially nail salons because a lot of them say they can do a certain style/design but then it looks nothing like the photo. I'm very satisfied with Aber Nail & Spa! I came here on Friday February 15 (the day before my birthday) @5:30pm, which was last minute for a new set with gel color & pedicure. I was worried they wouldn't take me without an appointment, but I was lucky enough to be the last customer they accepted. The staff is very nice and patient. They make sure to take their time. This was my go to nail/pedi place. I don't know what happened. My last manicure pedicure was a disaster. Started with the pedi. Every toe a different shape. 3 times I told her I wanted french on my nails then she just didn't do it and told me I didn't ask for french. The manicure I got lasted 2 days where it usually lasts 2 weeks and every nail was a different shape. Square is square. Pedicure lasted but was weird and nails were left too long and not uniform in shape. I don't remember the name of the tech, had never seen her there before. Will give one more try but they are on the pricey side so if it's terrible a second time I'm done. read more

Horrible experience!! I went in to have acrylics removed so I can get a manicure. To remove the acrylics, the woman used a plastic Metro train card sliding it between my real nail and the acrylic trying to lift it. It wasn't working but she continued trying. It was SO PAINFUL and she only stopped after she made me BLEED!!! She then switched to the drill and began filing the acrylic down. The drill would get hot and it was burning my finger! She SHOULD HAVE offered to soak them off instead, but didn't because it was now closing time (i was there for over an hour and a half)!!! At this point I was done, this whole experience was awful! I left the salon with leftover acrylic and a bleeding finger. Never going back!! read more

Awful. I paid $70 for a manicure where one nail popped off in 1 day and three other nails ended up with crackling dip powder. Oh and my hands were sore for hours because my fingers were cut up from the rough technique used. Manicure also took over 2 Hours. Completely absurd. When I went in to get it fixed they told me to come back because they had nobody to do it, there were 3 nail techs asleep in the manicure chairs. read more

Came here twice, once for a gel tip manicure and once for just gel polish, although the colors were both pretty, you could see where the tips were peeling off by the end of the first week and the gel polish started peeling within two days. For $35-$40 each time, not including tip, this place really isn't worth the price. Pedicure was okay but chipped almost immediately. read more

I got a gel manicure and it barely lasted a week. I don't do any out of the ordinary work or vigorous cleaning, anything that would cause my nails to damage faster. The salon is well appointed. The wait time is long, "pick your color" generally takes 3 minutes max. Sit time waiting for a manicure or pedicure at this establishment is 20-25 minutes. Manicure/pedicure is no bargain and my time is valuable. Enough said? read more

Update - went back for a nail fill and had another tech do it. She was very good. New salon in the area. I wanted to try out a UV gel set and found a coupon for 30% off your total so I figured why not. The place is very clean, no tvs but they played calming music inside. There were 2 other women there while I was getting my nails done. I felt a bit rushed as I had barely sat down before the nail tech started filing my nails down with the rotating tool. I wanted almond shaped nails a little longer than my own and showed him a picture of the design I wanted as well. The shape is ok, not totally almond and each nail is a little different but I'm the only one that can notice since I stare at them. A few nails aren't totally even gel wise and dip in the middle. The only complaint I had was he was putting very thick layers of the UV gel (cnd Brisa sculpting gel) on my nails and they were burning very badly when I cured them in the light. I know that thinner application and more layers would be less painful. Honestly almost teared up a few times because it hurt so bad. I tried telling him it was hurting and he didn't seem concerned. There's a major difference between my thumb nail lengths as well. After my hands were done I got a basic pedicure with the callous treatment by another tech. They had inserts for the tubs so it was always clean and he took time making sure everything was scrubbed off. Not sure if I will come back for the UV gel set but will come back for a pedicure. read more

This is the 2md time I have tried this place and it was worse than the first time ! My first experience was a regular manicure . The tech was clearly very inexperienced ! He literally had to have someone stand over him . When he went to apply the polish , It was put on too thin and streaky and chipped off the next day . I decided to give it another chance because it was very new when I went and I was hoping they worked out the kinks . Not so much ! I asked for a French manicure this time . The young lady was only interested in getting it done at warp speed ! No cuticle oil or cuticle clippers were used. She did attempt to push them back but they looked awful ! Before I knew it she was putting polish over them . She didn't even clean under the nails and I have never had that happen ! Within 2 hours, the white tips either were chipped or completely peeled off ! They hand out lots of coupons to get volume through the door ! The quality is terrible ! I love this place and my manicures last 2-3 weeks and of course pedicures last longer. I love the relaxing music. The prices aren't bad and most of the staff are great with wiggly kids.
